Very relaxing with gorgeous views. I especially enjoyed sitting out front with a cold beverage listening to music and enjoying the scenery.

Relaxing Vacation

My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Perch. We are avid kayakers and love to fish, so this place was perfect. We brought our own kayaks and really enjoyed exploring the river. The views from the cabin and from the river are breathtaking. I am also a birder and enjoyed using my binoculars and scope in the backyard and on the rooftop porch (the perch!). We brought our dog and enjoyed hiking the Hebron Gap, very close to the cabin (park at the boat launch just up the road). We have stayed in a lot of rentals on vacation, and this one was true to the photos and was clean and well maintained. Check in and check out was easy. We would stay again!

A frame cabin. It was clean and had pretty much everything. Fire pit and deck near the river were nice to relax. Canoeing on the river had beautiful views. Upper deck Was a little messy, but another place to relax. Close to a lot of attractions. We didn’t use the hot tube.

We had a wonderful visit at the Perch - we especially enjoyed sitting on the chairs by the river and also using the canoe to paddle around - very, very relaxing! A nice property that was clean and well maintained. The host (Laura with Shenandoah Rentals) was easy to communicate with, for check-in and departure. We also enjoyed a driving into Shenandoah Nat'l Park and watching the sunset from the Stoney Man Overlook on Skyline Drive.

Beautiful property with endless outdoor adventure opportunities at your fingertips. Directions for checkout procedure were a little inconsistent. Nothing major. Really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I had an amazing 4 days here! It was just perfect for us two and our puppy. Great fishing and nights by the fire. Perfect little escape to tranquility!

Husband and I had a fantastic stay. What a little slice of tranquility, views of the river where the highlight. We had everything we needed, plenty of firewood, clean hot tub overlooking the lake, beautiful dock on the water. Inside the house was clean, plenty of cookware and grilling utensils. The location in close to the kayak rentals and to downtown Luray. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in nature but still close to amenities.

We absolutely loved staying at The Perch and look forward to staying here again. The cabin itself was perfect for us and the location on the river cant be beat! We enjoyed seeing the heron and osprey while out in the canoe as well as each day from the comfort of the two rocking chairs and hammock near the river!

Beautiful Location!

A wonderful little A-frame style cabin located right along a bend in the Shenandoah River and just 20 minutes from Luray! It was the perfect little weekend getaway spot to disconnect for a while and enjoy nature.

Beautiful

Great stay for a peaceful weekend getaway. Very clean and cozy cabin with wonderful views and plenty of amenities to stay busy. Will definitely make recommendations and a return visit.

Peaceful Retreat

The best escape that we could use have hoped for! Beautiful views and songbird symphonies in the morning. Had sunshine and a thunderstorm to enjoy, couldn’t have been a better stay!

3 day fall getaway

Had a great time and made great family memories while enjoying the peace and quiet, and the beautiful fall weather on the Shenandoah river. The Perch provided the perfect cozy, quiet and relaxing spot for our family to unwind and enjoy nature!
