You'll enjoy the stylish, modern kitchen with great appliances, the luxurious bath with glass shower and soaking tub, the relaxing backyard patio area with woodland view and firepit, the welcoming sounds of farm animals on the 24-acre property - all with surprising privacy from the main house, proximity to all of the needed small-town amenities like gas, grocery, pharmacy, and restaurants, and within reach of some of the best hiking, fishing, and tourist destinations in Pendleton County, West Virginia.

Wonderful cottage! Hosts were very friendly & communicative. The place was very clean & very well stocked with items. Very convenient location for the area. This was a wonderful experience & I would definitely recommend this place!

The cottage was very cute, clean, and had everything we needed for our couple day get away. Loved the hot tub, fire, and visiting with the animals. It was very remote & we had a relaxing time. Close to some small stores in town. We visited Smoke Hole, WV, Doly Sods, & Seneca. Our hosts were awesome also! Would definitely stay again!

Amazing Stay!

Jennifer and Kyle’s property was perfect for me and my husband’s weekend getaway. The property was gorgeous and so was the cottage. It was quiet and private and the hosts were awesome at communicating!

Home Away From Home

The Apple family truly thought of everything when creating this clean and inviting space. I would highly recommend staying here. Their goats and pigs were super cute and fun to visit too!

Weekend Retreat

I booked this cottage as an early birthday celebration for my husband. The pictures don’t do it justice! You walk in to the perfect mix of minimalist and farmhouse decor. We ventured to Spruce Knob, Seneca Rocks, Seneca Caverns, and many random fishing spots in various rivers/creeks. It was so nice to be able to come back to the cottage and relax in the hot tub after a day of exploration. We will definitely return should the opportunity arise.

Gorgeous and extremely comfortable place to stay and enjoy places around Moonanghahaela , WV

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The Guest cottage is very beautiful, very aesthetically furnished, extremely comfortable and very well equipped with all amenities. Jennifer is an amazing host. She was very helpful with directions and all things to do around there. We enjoyed feeding the farm animal, bathtub and enjoying the stars outside by the fire. Highly recommend to anyone and we would love to stay there again when in that part of WV.

A perfect country retreat!

We stayed for three wonderful days and loved the property. Communication with owner was easy and seamless for checking in and finding the location. The guest house was even better than the pictures. A great kitchen, beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. My granddaughter loved their farm animals too. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit my daughter and her family.

Peaceful Honeymoon

Finding this gem was such a gift for our mini honeymoon! We are newlyweds who were looking for somewhere quiet to spend a few days unwinding after the chaos of our DIY nuptials. This place far exceeded our hopes! From the animals to the soaking tub and the back patio with the hot tub and fire pit, I couldn’t have improved on this little spot if I tried. Perfect! Can’t wait to visit again!

Exactly What We Were Looking For

What a great property! We stayed for the better part of a week, planning to use the cottage as a base to head out on daily adventures. It was quiet and beautiful outside, waking up to the fog on the mountains every day set the tone. My partner loved the hot tub and the soaking tub indoors, and used them both quite a bit when we returned each day. Jennifer and Kyle have done a lot to make this cottage feel comfortable and welcoming. More like a home for the time we were there then "just the room we stayed in". Looking forward to heading back here in the future for another long getaway,

Perfect Getaway

I have rented properties all over the world and have come to realize that the photos and descriptions never ,never are accurate or close to reality. Once again this was true, however in this case the photos and description do not adequately represent the excellent nature of this property. It was exceptionally well appointed and equipped. I have never been in in a VRBO property that met this high level of style, comfort and workmanship. Every detail was a meticulous, from the quality of the linens, to the very well equipped kitchen. I could find no fault with this property and did not want to leave. If i was ever going to build a small getaway, this property would be the model!
