Hunter's Retreat is a cozy, 2-Bedroom Cabin, along a forested road, in the Hocking Hills.

It sleeps up to 4 guests, with 2 Private Queen Bedrooms and a Full Bath, with Shower Tub, plus linens and towels provided.

Free Wifi Internet.
No TV access, but there is a Smart TV, so if you have a Youtube TV account or something like that, it should work.

It has a Fully equipped kitchen, with a coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and utensils.

The Back Deck has a 4-Person Hot Tub, overlooking the wooded property.

There is a charcoal grill and a dining area on the Back Deck, as well.

Hunter's Retreat also has a Fire Pit and Chairs, for your enjoyment.

It is great for small families and couples, for a relaxing getaway!

Cozy little place in the hills. We had a wonderful time. Looking forward to going back again. Fireplace access was a plus. We really enjoyed it.

We loved the views by the creek, the front porch was so inviting and perfect. It was close to the hiking trail we wanted to hike (smith creek to Ruby falls) easy and close drive into Helen. The only thing is , we got there in the dark and it was hard to find our cabin . But Don, the owner met us there and was texting us with how to find it. Communication with the owner was very good. All was great and we enjoyed our fall girls trip in November.

The Hunter’s Retreat cabin was wonderful. It is close to the park and easy to get to. Spent mid week exploring and hiking Hocking Hills. We took advantage of the hot tub both before and after the day of hiking. The fireplace was perfect and romantic. Able to view wildlife while soaking in the hottub Only suggestion would be to replace one of the mattresses. One was soft and comfy the other was very firm. Would recommend this retreat to others.

Canin host very last almost 10 hours to an emergency question I had plus never answers the phone I called a few time with a serious mater of black mold in bathroom and 1 bedroom he said it was mildew but it was porous absorbs moisture, which should be taken care of between each day, which definitely is not it was prominent and excessive in areas. Beaware if you stay here and you expect a return call back, it will not happen nor will a response from a text be in a timely manner or within 5 to 10 hours. My

The hot tub was absolutely disgusting, it had to be drained and cleaned so we couldn’t use it until the next day , there was trash around the property we had neighbors that partied all night and we so loud , wasn’t really any storage for our belongings in the rooms , this was our anniversary and we always pick a new cabin to stay in every year and we will not be back to this one and wouldn’t recommend to anyone , there’s only one road in and out , we had to back up to our cabin many times to let others come down the road

The cabin was great We had everything we needed. The location is close to the park. I would caution that the dirt road to the cabin would be difficult for vehicles that don't have high clearance.

We stayed for two nights in July and everything was wonderful! Check in was easy. The cabin was clean and comfy! The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and kitchen supplies for cooking. The hot tub was our favorite feature! We will be back!

We had a great stay at this cabin with our family of four. It was clean, nicely furnished, and felt cozy and comfortable. The beds were great, and we really enjoyed the large porch and relaxing in the hot tub. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, and the location was close to the parks but still felt private.One small issue: we found some mice droppings in the silverware drawer, so just check utensils before using them. Also, raccoon-proof outdoor trash cans would be helpful.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

We came in after 6 pm to find that our only bathroom had a dirty toilet. We had been traveling all day, and we needed to use the toilet. I did the best I could to clean it, but unfortunately, no disinfectant was available for guest use. I notified the owner. They offered to have someone come clean it after we used it multiple times. For us, that didn’t make up for the fact we had to deal with the issue in the first place. Plus, the outside light by the hot tub and table has a wasp nest in it. We think a 3-star rating is more than generous considering our experience at this cabin.

Late Christmas Trip

Had a wonderful stay with our two teens. Everything was at least as good as described. The internet was awesome, the kids loved the hot tub, it was a quiet, beautiful, and very cold weekend. Would return to this property.
