Our stay went very well. Just like the pictures show, the view was amazing, and it is truly quite isolated, which is what we were looking for. The beds were spacious and comfortable, and the amount of tables and seating everywhere made things very easy.I could imagine the long driveway could be problematic in the winter, but we had no problems on our stay in September.Would absolutely stay there again.

True seclusion with those views is exactly what this home does best! We're glad the comfortable beds and abundant seating made the stay easy, and we appreciate the practical driveway note for winter travelers. We'd absolutely love to have you back.

This place has some spectacular views and is equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here for a today’s and decompress

Spacious getaway with large windows, stunning views, and plenty of room for friends or family. The well-equipped kitchen and comfy living areas felt just like home. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in the Berkshires!

Perfect Getaway!

Everything was exactly as advertised. The house is amazing and the host service was fantastic! They answered our questions within minutes and went above and beyond to accommodate a special request. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent experience

Very cool house in a remote location with excellent views. The house was well maintained, while the location was a bit remote and off the beaten path, that was part of what made it special. Great experience, great host!

Beautiful house…and the views can’t be beat!

We had a work retreat here, and there was plenty of room. Multiple bathrooms, living room and deck great for entertaining. Weather was really warm, would have loved having cushions for outdoor patio furniture, but understand it was stored for winter coming. Highly recommend this space for families or large groups!

Disconnecting from it all

We stayed a few days at this house and it was fantastic. Amaxing views, quiet and peaceful - great spaces in the house. House was big roomy, bright with privacy. We slept with windows open - felt safe and part of the wilderness. Nothing negative to say about the home, property and our stay.

All rooms were spotless. The kitchen was well equipped with the exception of a proper pot to boil pasta. The teflon pot was scratched and we were reluctant to use it. Because of the hard well water the dishes coming out of the dishwasher appeared filmy. Not dirty. A good water softener would solve this problem. However, these minor issues compared to the fabulous setting, upkeep, and spaciousness of the home are nothing. Quality mattresses and sheets were on all the beds. Organic soaps, shampoos and conditioners were in generous supply. The heating was easy to use. The wi-fi was strong throughout the entire house. The seating in every area was cozy and more than adequate. Secluded in an excellent way. I highly recommend this place for a family gathering or celebration.

almost but no cigar

I had started requesting information and pictures of the cooking equipment immediately after booking this property 6 mos before my stay. The pictures never arrived after repeated pleas. Additionally after making clear my intent to cook an ornate TGiving dinner I was NEVER alerted to the fact that there is NO VENTILATION over the stove in the kitchen. NO ONE should cook in this kitchen unless all your cooking is outdoor bbq'ing. Its not safe and get very smoky in that kitchen very quickly.

The setting at Chester by Avant Stay was fantastic. The views from the deck, breakfast room, living room and primary suite are spectacular. Being in a very secluded area was a plus for us; grocery shopping was a 25 minute ride away, which we planned for.The floor plan was generous and nicely suited for a family of 6 and an infant. Our family truly enjoyed our 7 day vacation here. There were a few issues that were maintenance/comfort/appliance oriented; we connected with the host team who adequately addressed the most pressing items. A few thoughts for future renters; there is a loft bedroom shown with a spiral staircase to access it. We didn't realize this sits INSIDE the primary suite, i.e. no true privacy if the loft is occupied. Wasn't an issue for us as we had plenty of bedrooms for group. Shades for the skylights would be helpful. And, having a manual that described things like the HVAC system and other appliances and sections of the house would be a good addition. Finally, we didn't realize this house is actually a very large, well constructed log cabin! It adds to the charm.

We loved staying at this house. It was the perfect location for 4 families to get some quality time in the mountains. So clean and had everything we needed. Check in and out were easy as can be.
