This home is the perfect place to spend your next beach vacation. This beach home is well suited for families of all sizes with its large floor plan and gorgeous fully equipped kitchen.There is plenty of room for gathering while meals are prepared as the open floor plan allows for easy sight into the living area.

About Prominence on 30A - Watersound, Florida
Prominence is one of the most popular communities on 30A and features incredible amenities, open green spaces and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Prominence is perfectly located to new and long time 30A haunts as well as the beautiful white beaches of Scenic 30A. Guests will enjoy a beautiful town center and 2 resort style pools.

Located at the town center, the Big Chill is a hot-spot for entertainment and features an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen for sporting events and movie nights on the green. Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.


PET FRIENDLY WITH STIPULATIONS
We welcome well-trained dogs to stay in this home. If traveling with a pet, please note that a non-refundable pet fee will be added after booking. We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate Trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00.


INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Beach house

We stayed here for 4 days 5 nights and we wish it was longer!! This house was absolutely perfect!! We had a baby with us and there no issues! We cooked breakfast, lunch and a few dinners and we had everything we needed!! The only thing was having to drive to the beach access points but it was worth it! We will definitely be returning this house!!

I contacted panhandle getaway several times via text with Tasha and she was wonderful. After I explained that the house did not have a regular coffee pot, she personally delivered keurig coffees for us to have the next morning. That is above and beyond my expectations and was appreciated!

Great location

Did not have complete instructions as to where to go on the outside of the house to put in the code to get in. There are a few items tgat need attention. Back porch door has the screen detached so that anyone could get onto the porch. Railing is loose on back stairs going to garage door keypad. Bottom front porch step broken. Range fan hood very dirty. Garage door on right side malfunctions when trying to open with opener.

Amazing place

We had the best time, it's close to so many places. Has 2 pools and as busy as the area is, it's quiet at night. The rental place just needs to work on having a book of how to operate the things in the house.......like the WIFI, the Moke (golf cart) and a way to get into the house. We spent an hour trying to get ahold of someone to get in......when we did, it was fantastic. The place is clean, beautiful, has screened in porches, we had coffee on the front porch every morning......so fabulous. I think we were the first to stay at this one, so for sure they need grace. I am sure once they iron out the details, it will be smooth sailing. Just a suggestion to the owners...I would make a binder of the things I mentioned above.......How to get onto the wifi with a passcode, how to use the moke (which by the way is the coolest), what stores are close by, restaurants.....things people who are not from there would appreciate. The house was great, and for sure we would stay here again!!!

Overall, the rental property was nice and met our needs. However, it was a bit disappointing for a few reasons which I feel are vey basic requirements given the money we spent. First, the description of the property claimed it was a “5 minute walk” to the beach. This is not the case. The closest beach access is Deer Creek park which has limited parking and a 5 minute drive. If you don’t get there early than you need to wait until someone leaves. We spoke with several other renters in the same neighborhood who were also misled on the distance to the beach and had the same complaint. This needs to be corrected.Again, the house was nice but be advised, it is for sale. I mention this because I feel like the owners aren’t willing to replenish the essential items you’d find in most every rental or spend money on necessary repairs. For example, we had two hangars in the master closet and not a single wine glass in the entire house. No a huge deal but you’d expect to have these items in this type of rental. Regarding the cleanliness/maintenance of the house, there were issues there as well. When you arrive, the very first door you have to go through is a screen door to the side porch (more on the actual entry into the house later). The screen itself was ripped out on both of the upper and lower frames of the door and left to just flap in the breeze. Even the spline which holds the screen in place was hanging down from the frame. I have to say, not the best first impression. Onc

Still waiting on my sweater

Overall, the house and location were exactly what we wanted. We loved having access to the golf cart and bikes as well. There was plenty of room for my family and the house was clean. There were some inconveniences during our stay like not having a coffee pot and one of the shades in the bunk room wouldn’t stay down. Also we kept having to reset the breaker in the garage to get the door down. Communication with Panhandle Getaway was good while we were in the house but since we’ve checked out I’ve had an issue of getting a hold of them. We left a sweater at the home and I’ve called at least 6 times at this point to try to have them mail it to me. Every time I call someone answers and says I need to speak with the head of cleaning and I never get a call back. I’d appreciate a call back ASAP as it’s been 3 weeks.

Christmas 2022

Entrance to the property was like a treasure hunt- we went to front door it was latched and no entrance- went to back and screen door was open- the code lock was on the door going into garage - Once in garage did not know how to get a key to entrance of house- Finley found. Second key box that was open and used the code that was on the outside of box - The house is very nice- laundry room very large - the family and kitchen and dining room hold our family very nicely The kitchen was not well stocked for cooking- We purchased a large stock pot for a low country boil-because they did not have one- We also purchased pan to cook our Christmas roast - Silverware was limited - The internet was iffy and took us awhile to figure it out- It would be nice to receive a notebook with details of the house- How to lock the doors - We did not know that their was one Terence from the property to the beach- Loved walking the the restaurants for dinner and to watch ball games- Enjoyed our time at this house - Perfect for our family Christmas Just a few suggestions for improvement
