The beachfront location on Lake Michigan allows you to admire the sparkling turquoise waters of the lake and enjoy them from a whole different point of view. Take in memorable views from the furnished patio with a convenient table. The living area invites you to relax in front of the fireplace - turn on the TV and get ready for an entertaining evening at home! The well-appointed kitchenette has a full size fridge, two burner cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Cute and Cozy

The place was clean, cute and cozy. The bathtub was amazing, and it was nice to walk out to the beach from the patio. The only downfall that was disappointing is that this unit is joined with another, so we could hear the neighbors very clear as if they were in the same room with you. The other disappointing factor was that the bed was uncomfortable and hard. Overall, the location on the beach was a bonus, it was stocked well with pans, dishes, and kitchen items. Had a beautiful view from the living/kitchen area and the patio was nice to sit and drink your coffee.

No privacy

While we really wanted to like this place, it was part of a huge condo. Ours had a door that could connect it to the condo next to us. So you could literally hear every conversation of the people next door. Wasn’t the romantic getaway we were expecting with someone able to hear your every conversation. We ended up turning on the tv so we get like we weren’t being spied on. The jacuzzi tub wouldn’t work also which was a major disappointment. It was clean and very close to all the activities we wanted to do. And also on a beautiful beach.

Lacked privacy

Was disappointed in this unit because it was much smaller than the pictures made it appear AND it had a door that adjoined to the unit next door. This is something you would normally find in a hotel suite NOT a condo rental. Thankfully the occupant next door was an older gentleman who kept pretty quite. However, when his TV was on or he was talking on his phone you could hear EVERY WORD!!! I am quite sure the door between units is what caused the sound transfer between rooms. My wife and I felt like we had to whisper when we spoke...that’s not a fun way to spend three days. The unit also lacked supplies...there was a coffee maker that sort of worked...but worse than that there were NO COFFEE FILTERS. All of these problems were unique to this unit. I’m sure other VACASA units are much better. I would consider renting from VACASA again...but will want more information on the unit first.

Short fall get away

Sandpiper 2 is a lot smaller than our usual choices at the Homestead but it is perfect for my husband and myself. This is the second time we’ve used it for a couple day get away. Lake Michigan view and sunsets are spectacular. We ate breakfast with a couple deer. Wine tours and Fishtown all bathed in amazing fall colors.

Beautiful view

The size was perfect. Cozy for two. The view was stunning, and beach access very close was big bonus. The tub was spacious and there was always enough hot water.
