Lake Welsh Getaway

Very nice home and very convenient access to the lake for fishing. Plenty of room with multiple beds for larger groups of adults. The host was very accommodating regarding check in. Really enjoyed our stay.

Nice Secluded Lakehouse

My family enjoyed our stay - the house was roomy enough that we could spread out and enjoy quiet time in this secluded spot. The views of the lake were gorgeous. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic property

The house and property were beautiful. The kitchen had all the items we needed since we cooked all our meals there. It was a lovely place and the sunrises were breathtaking.

Lake Welsh Getaway-Graduation

Our stay at this property was awesome. Prior to arrival they had some severe storms that uprooted a tree and had branches and broken limbs all over the back porch but no worries we swept and moved the branches. We had a fantastic time BBQing fishing and enjoying the toys for the lake. This property is beautiful and made for a perfect place to stay for graduation from NTCC. Only thing I wish they had provided was wash clothes for showers...everything elsea was great!

Extended family & I all had an entirely lovely stay in this clean, spacious, beautiful house. Despite the slightly scruffy front landscaping, walking both into the house & out onto the deck in the back, immediately feels both classy & oh-so comfortable... & there was even a very sweet kitty hanging around to greet us! <3

Beautiful Property

We enjoyed our stay on Welsh Lake. The property is large and very accommodating for a large family. The sunrise is beautiful as suggested by owner. We encountered one slight hiccup which was leaving the garage door open and our shoes in the garage where the neighborhood dogs drugged them off so we searched neighboring houses for our shoes. So rule of thumb, do not leave shoes or personal belongings in an open garage:) Will book this property again for family gatherings.

Nice Place

My family and I stayed at the property over a weekend. It’s a nice house on Lake Welsh. There’s a lot to do and plenty of beds. If you need a lot of beds, this place is great; if you need comfortable beds, it leaves a little to be desired. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding, and the kids had fun playing with the games in the game room. There was a storm while we were there, and the power went out for several hours. That just added excitement for the kids, but it was a little frustrating for the parents when we couldn’t get in touch with the property manager. The power came back on though, so it was no big deal. Overall, we thought this was a pretty cool place to stay, we made good memories as a family, and we enjoyed our time there.

Great location but poor experience

Got there and the house was beautiful but had ants all in the pantry and in two of the rooms, the internet was terrible, so bad that you couldn't bare watch an episode of anything on Netflix, and the lake is not really swimable. We reserved it for 6 days a s half the group left after being there one full day. My half left on day 4.

Dear Bradley we are sorry you couldn’t enjoy it as much as planned. Just to highlight some points, in the summer, due to some specific reasons like the water temperatures (above 86F because of the power plant) the lake has waterweed on the shore, and also the water level is very low due to this very dry summer. About the internet, we are trying all available providers, from satellite to 5G mobile operators and unfortunately, the signal is not strong on the lake from any of them. We have just installed a new modem and signal booster from ATT and the connection is already much better. Regarding the ants problem, we have regular professional maintenance and called them as soon as you informed us about the ants. They were there the next day and although they could not find any ants in the house, from the pictures shared they said it could just from the extreme heat and the ants were finding colder places, but they’re applied the required products. I also think it’s fair to mention that you only let us know the ants after you left the house therefore we couldn’t help you on time nevertheless we, upfront, reimbursed you for the day you missed. We hope you understand that some of the issues you had were out of our control but we appreciate the feedback as we continue to improve our services to delight our guests. Lake Welsh Getaway

Beautiful place to relax!

Our family absolutely loved our stay. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We really enjoyed grilling on the deck and spectacular view. We will definitely be back!

Guys fishing trip

The place was wonderful. Close proximity to the ramp on Lake Welsh as well as many other lakes in the area. Very comfortable feel house with awesome views of lake Welsh. Definitely would recommend. Very responsive owners/managers on anything you might would have a question on or issue.

Annual fishing trip

Myself and 11 other buddies of mine go fishing once a year in East Texas This year we stayed at the Lake Welsh Getaway. Beautiful property with a wonderful view and easy access to numerous lakes in east Texas. Had a great experience and a great trip!

Awesome lake house

We spent a weekend here with our friends and our dogs. The house is newly renovated and had plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is a good size and well stocked with plates, bowls, cooking pans, etc. the best part of the house is the back patio and the amazing views of Lake Welsh. We spent most of our time hanging out there. We did take advantage of the paddle boards, paddle boat, kayak which was a lot of fun. The only issue we had all weekend was the Wi-Fi. It was very slow. I’m sure it’s due to the area, but we were not able to enjoy college football the Saturday we were there. I would highly recommend this property. I am looking forward to our next trip.

Thank you for the kind words. Glad to know you have enjoyed all ammenities the house offers. And the wifi is unfortunatelly the only provider we have, but we will continue to look for other options.

Lake Welsh is a reservoir built in the 50s and 60s for the purpose of flood control and water preservation in that it was specifically constructed as a cooling reservoir for the Welsh Power Plant, for that reason the temperature of the water is more pleasant all year round. This makes Welsh a very popular winter fishery.

We try to keep the house in excellent state and cleanness so we can also enjoy when we bring our friends and family. The house is very comfortable and has a lot of ammeninities, including fishing deck and water activities.
