Oceanfront living just steps from the beach, welcome to your perfect Maui escape. Condo 102 at Kauhale Makai offers a beautifully updated studio designed for couples or small families looking for comfort, convenience, and value in one of the world’s most stunning island destinations.

Inside, the open living space features a cozy queen bed, a large wall mounted TV, ample storage, and a comfortable sofa that converts into a sleeper, ideal for traveling with kids. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, whether you are enjoying breakfast on your private lanai or dining outdoors after grilling at the resort BBQ area.

The full bathroom includes a tub and shower combo, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Maui’s beaches, hiking trails, and waterfalls. Stay cool year round with central AC, and enjoy the convenience of coin operated laundry facilities on each floor.

Kauhale Makai, meaning Village by the Sea, is a spacious oceanfront resort offering two pools, a hot tub, sauna, gas BBQ area, putting green, volleyball court, shuffleboard, and nearby public tennis courts. Located on the ground floor of the North Anthurium building, this unit provides easy access to both resort amenities and the nearby shoreline.

Situated in North Kihei, you are just minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, and shops, with a central location that makes exploring the entire island, from Wailea to Lahaina, Upcountry, and the Road to Hana, simple and convenient.

Please note décor and furnishings may be updated from time to time, but comfort, functionality, and sleeping arrangements will always meet or exceed expectations.

Little Haven

We enjoyed our stay and was impressed how well stocked this little place was. Had everything we needed plus extras. The only two things that were a little disappointing was the lanai is facing the parking lot so its not really enjoyable and the mattress could be upgraded. Also, we had problems with the wifi and they came right away to fix it. If you just need a place to stay & not spend a lot of time inside this place is a little gem.

Nice Condo

We were very comfortable at this condo, it is on a nice property that is quiet and peaceful. The property management gave clear check in and check out instructions and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The only thing we wish the condo had was a ceiling fan. We did not always need the AC but a fan would have been nice to move fresh air in from the Lanai.

A Great Vacation

The condo was clean and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The only suggestions I have are; a.) fix the A/C unit so it actually cools the room (or provide an electric fan to help people cool off), and b.) replace the bed pillows because they smell of stale body dander. These were only small things to me and not worth complaining about. I really did love being here and enjoyed my stay immensely.

Extremely clean and it was stocked with EVERYTHING we needed including huge, fluffy beach towels, air freshener for the bathroom, laundry basket with laundry soap, dishwasher 😍 and a stool for an our little guy to wash his hands. It’s literally 100yards to the beach which was magical! I would highly recommend staying here!

Nice place.

For the most part the stay was great. The only downside was I didn't get a check-in email giving me the details. We had to call multiple numbers to figure out what to do and the response came via text. But we were able to get into our condo. Other then that great place, good location. Thanks.

Was not the cleanest. Found poop stains on towels, hair in the bed sheets, and the wifi did not work at all. They couldn’t send someone in to fix it. The beach by it was nice, though

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness concerns and immediately addressed them by sending our housekeeping team. While the exact nature of the towel stain was unclear, it resembled something along the lines of mascara, not a biohazard. Regarding the Wi-Fi, the outage was unexpected, our team went out to try to trouble shoot with the provider on the phone. They Determined they needed to send a service provider but was a week out, unfortunately out of our control. We are taking steps to improve our communication with service providers to ensure faster resolutions in the future. We appreciate your positive comments about the beach and are dedicated to enhancing our services for a better experience on your next visit.

So we ended up going to Walmart to get a fan for the night. The next day manager contacted me and Informed them about the A/C and they were able to get it fixed immediately. Which was awesome. The condo was really nice and in great shape and had everything we needed. We had a great time. Would stay there again.

The staff is responsive and the space was SUPER CLEAN. The bedroom however is not serrated and resides in the same space as the kitchen, where I found the fridge woke me (I am a very light sleeper). The car lights from the parking lot were a distraction too but the visiting birds on the balcony in the morning made it worth-while.

Arrived at dusk when it was a bit dark. Knowing which of the 2 bldgs my unit was in prior to arrival would have been helpful. Also knowing where to access the entry area would have helped. Eventually found the walkway. After 5 the office staff are gone… The unit d/n have the best view but was in a quiet area. The A/C unit was tricky to set comfortably -it was usually too or cold too warm. Kitchen stocked with pots, pan’s & utensils but went to local store for things like foil, saranwrap etc It was quiet inside the unit which was a big plus. Did not hear any noise being on ground floor unit- very nice. Unit was cozy. Fine for one or 2. The property location is just 20 min from airport. And its easy to get around the island from the location. The bbq pool & hottub are nice amenities. there are many units here but we managed to get our tub time & met pleasant fellow travelers there.

Reviewer Comments: Our stay at CB Island Vacations came with mixed reviews, we have travelled the world numerous times and our favorite place on earth is the island of Maui. I expect we have visited Maui over 60 times. So, the island is always most enjoyable. Your Kihei property can definitely use some refinements and improvements. First of all, we received numerous reminders in the form of Text messages not to check in prior to 4 PM. We had no intention to dis-respect the rules. To operate the T.V. you needed a Master’s degree from M.I.T, there were two remotes and no instructions, at times it took us 30 minutes to turn on the T.V,. and numerous unsightly exposed cables are next to the bed. I suggest you provide written instructions in a laminated sheet. Also, how would any guest know WHERE to take the trash ? We looked everywhere, never found it. It was suggested we scan a QR code to enter the pool area, we scanned the code, walked over to the pool – there was no reader, just a number pad. Couldn’t get in. We were left with dissatisfaction, frustration, and exasperation. We question a $320. Cleaning fee for a studio, and what the **** is a charge of $287.72. For “Service Fees” ? Absorbent. Mike Casey

After reviewing messages and notes, we can only find one message sent to you regarding the check-in time, which came as a response to your question regarding how to access the unit. Our team is available 7 days a week and we could have assisted with operating the remote should we have had the opportunity. We send a day after arrival text to each guest that stays at one of our condos and this is a great opportunity for us to be able to address any concerns or issues. Regarding the QR code, the QR code that is in the condo, displays the code to the pool, there is not a QR code to scan at the pool itself. The QR code, once scanned in the condos, will take you to a webpage that shows you the Pool Code to use, as well as other useful information including wifi and resort maps. The service fee is a fee charged by the booking platform utilized for the reservation. It is not charged or collected by CB Island Vacations. Steps Away from the Beach

You can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on your patio. You are right in front of the parking lot so make sure you keep your curtains drawn unless you want someone to look into your condo! Super clean condo with all the beach chairs, coolers, towels that you will need. The kitchen is fullt stocked. This condo does not dissapoint. The grounds are clean.

Good for the price

Pros- short walk to the beach, short drive to tons of amenities and shopping, all needed items in room, host had awesome communication. The Wi-Fi was down so they had a hot spot in place for us, very kind to have that set up in advance. Cons- older property, pool is not heated, not enough storage for luggage, bed is older and lumpy, appliances were slightly unreliable. Example, toaster sparks on the right side, burnt toast on the left side on a setting of 3, not quite toasted at a 2. Shower is in the tub, but there is a head on either side, interesting. Bathroom sink was slow to drain, nothing that needed to be fixed immediately. Had to make our own bed, could be due to asking to arrive an hour early. A lot of the dishes were in the dishwasher upon arrival, so we spent some time putting dishes away when we were settling in. Could use some more outlets, or a power strip, we struggled to rearrange plugs to charge devices, make coffee, etc. Found we were missing a few items, but once we sent a text, they were provided quickly (beach towel, dust pan). Not the owners fault, just overall the unit and service could use some upgrades. We didn’t understand why we couldn’t use the outside door closest to the unit, apparently that’s for owners only, so we had to haul luggage over the wet pathway when checking in. Construction had the closest lobby closed off too, no one’s fault, just sort of unsightly. Another red flag was the fire alarm in the hall missing the glass bar. Our last day they communicated that the Wi-Fi would be repaired and asked for permission to enter, we gave it with the condition that they have someone present to ensure the safety of our belongings. We came back to the unit between outings and the repair person arrived while we were there, I notified the contact of their arrival and that we needed someone to come be with the repair person. Unfortunately it took about an hour for them to arrive. Sort of a bummer on our last day to have to change our plans based on having new Wi-Fi installed. All in all, we know we got a heck of a deal on this property, many units in this building are renting for much more, but I would say spend a little more and get a more comfortable bed, less of a hike to the unit, and maybe a view while you’re at it.

Everything was great.

It's a beach front studio (not much a of a view), with a quick 2-3 minute walk to the beach. ~10-15 minute walk to the closest stores. Nothing to complain about. The management company was responsive and friendly. Well appointed. Everything I needed was there.
