The Luxe Hi Desert is a striking mid-century modern retreat in Yucca Valley, CA, minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Wide sliders open the living room straight onto the back patio, where hammocks sway, a cowboy pool cools the afternoon and Joshua trees frame the view in every direction.

INDOOR-OUTDOOR LIVING
The living room is built for it - oversized sliders draw the desert in and a large-screen TV keeps evenings easy. Step outside for a game of bocce or chess, or head to the game room for billiards and table tennis.

THE LOCATION
Black Rock Canyon Campground is a few minutes away, with hiking trails open to the public and separate from Joshua Tree National Park itself. The park's west entrance is under 15 minutes by car, opening onto rock climbing and the Joshua tree-studded landscape the park is known for. Restaurants and shops line Twentynine Palms Highway, five minutes from the door.

KITCHEN & DINING
Cook in a fully equipped kitchen stocked with a spice collection or grill on the Weber gas grill outside. An indoor dining table and an outdoor table both seat the group, whichever the evening calls for.

EVENINGS OUTSIDE
As the sky fills with stars, settle into the hot tub before turning in for the night.

SLEEPING
Two king beds anchor the master and guest bedrooms. The master suite adds an office nook, an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet with its own TV, weights and a yoga mat. Every bedroom has a large-screen TV, with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ included.

Permit: STVR 52-21. A signed rental agreement is required to confirm booking.

PET POLICY
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval for up to 2 dogs, $100 per pet. Dogs must stay off furniture, be supervised at all times and never be left alone in the home. Guests are responsible for any damage and a $50 fee applies if cleaners must address pet mess.
