Charming in every way, this ocean view property invites you to spend your mornings on the patio, your days exploring the plethora of natural amenities that our area offers, and your evenings on our western-facing deck watching the sunset with a wine glass in hand. Extra clean, with an abundance of natural light, and a fully-equipped kitchen with everything that you would need for a short or a long- term stay. The hot tub available to you is PRIVATE, and for your exclusive use. Serenity Wave is the northern unit of this duplex property.

Clean, well stocked, and great location. We drove to many places in the redwoods state and national parks within 45 minutes north and south, and there are 5-6 really nice beaches within a 15 minute drive.

Great host, amazing location, quirky and thoughtful touches... everything I'm looking for in a vacation rental. First coastal rental I've ever booked that was set up for oyster shucking (do better, everyone else)! The hot tub was clean and functional, the neighborhood was quiet and pretty. The fog was awesome to watch rolling in and the proximity to redwoods was perfect. No notes. Would absolutely book again.

Fabulous week in McKinleyville with family

Plenty of everything you would need from toiletries to kitchen accessories spices, aluminum foil, plenty of plates glasses best I’ve ever seen anywhere. Great job Andy. Congratulations on the beautiful job you did. I was quite impressed. Definitely will stay again.

Relaxing Getaway

Beautiful View

I highly recommend staying at the Serenity Wave in McKinleyville area. It was super clean and well stocked. It was perfect for a getaway to walk the beaches of Northern CA and hike the trails of the Redwoods.

Great Place close to everything.

The house is located in a wonderful quiet neighborhood, in front of the beach with an amazing view. We loved stayed in the house since we drove to the Redwoods national park and other attractions in the area within minutes. Also there are some nice restaurants north close by also. I would recommend this house to a family with kids. Thanks Andy for your help all the time.

Stunning view

Thank you Andy, We truly enjoyed our stay whilst visiting our daughter. The house is beautifully appointed with all the comforts of home. The highlight was watching the spectacular sunsets and relaxing in the jacuzzi after busy days and hiking in the redwoods. We will definitely be back!

The View!

We enjoyed everything about Serenity Wave starting with the expansive view of the ocean the minute you walk in the front door. Just wow! The owners thought of all the big and little things that make a trip comfortable and enjoyable. This will be our go to when visiting our daughter in the area.

It Was Wonderful!

The property is located near the ocean in a nice residential neighborhood with an unobstructed view of beautiful sunsets. It is modern, very well stocked, and has more amenities than we were able to use. The kitchen has everything you would need including pods for the coffee maker and condiments in the refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable with a TV in each bedroom in addition to the main room. The outdoors is very nicely landscaped and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view with quick access to the Redwoods!

Our host Andy thought of every detail! No need to bring or purchase minor conveniences. Fans are available in the bedrooms, there is a stocked Keurig coffee maker, tea bar, and plenty of items needed in the kitchen for a weeks stay. They even have laundry supplies, so you do not need to purchase anything but your food items. thank you for the hospitality Andy!

Amazing Oasis !!!

Our stay here exceeded our expectations. Andy our host was a outstanding! Great communication, great amenities, great little extras (the local roaster Humboldt coffee was awesome!! Made out stay that much better. We had all that we needed here. The rental has a cozy & chic design. The views of the water were breathtaking. We can’t recommend this experience at this rental enough. 5 stars all the way!!!

Not enough time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner could not have been more pleasant. We added a day to our stay we loved it so much. We grilled, got in the hot tub each night and saw three amazing sunsets right from the swing out back. The home was filled with many little extras that made it seem like home for a few days. I don't see how it could have been better. We had a great time. Thank you

Golden birthday trip

We took a golden birthday trip so our almost 7 year old daughter could see the ocean and redwoods per her request. My wife also wanted to show us around as she attended humboult for her undergrad. The house has a great view of mad river and the ocean. There was access to the beach and bluffs right down the road, and close proximity to all arcata, eureka, and Trinidad has to offer. The neighborhood was quiet and easy to navigate. The hot tub was wonderful for after a day of exploring and hiking, the kitchen stocked with anything a family would need, plenty of towels and bathroom amenities, games for the family to play, streaming services available on the television, grill, different seating areas to enjoy meals, and a serene backyard complete with an egg swing for use. The house was clean and ready for us, communication was great with host, and check out a breeze. Highly recommend this place especially if u have kids. We had a wonderful time in Northern California!!!

What a gem!

This was a great property. We had 1/2 of a duplex. The hot tub was great. We used it several times a day. The sunsets from the back decks were beautiful. We did figure out how to get to the beach that for the ocean and it was awesome and quiet. Lots of shells. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready to cook. There were snacks and some essential ingredients for use. The beds were comfy. It was very clean and nice. We would definitely stay here again if we were to find ourselves back in Northen California. Andy was a great host and checked in to be sure we didn’t need anything.

I am a Humboldt County resident that has lived between Trinidad and McKinleyville most of my life. I retired a few years back after owning my own cabinet manufacturing business for the past 30 years. These days I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors. A few of the hobbies that I enjoy the most are landscaping, painting, traveling and I recently started playing guitar again.
