Welcome to the River House! Stay in our renovated salt-box style home on the Choptank River of Maryland's Eastern Shore, with your own low-tide beach and magnificent sunsets over the water. Thoughtful detail is present throughout, creating a memorable getaway, whether for a relaxing weekend or a remote work location. Enjoy a day on the river with our paddle board or kayak. Take a day trip to visit the wonderful towns of St. Michaels, Easton, Oxford and Chestertown, all offering beautiful scenery, unique shopping and great food (especially blue crabs!).

Used this house for an Eastern Shore golf weekend. Loved the location, right on the Choptank River and was 20-30 minute access to nearby golf courses. House was very clean and welcoming. Kitchen has updated appliances and adequate plates and utensils. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Nice deck for sitting out and enjoying the river views. Would definitely recommend this house.

My wife and I loved the house and very quiet neighborhood. The only thing that could make it better for me woukd be a private dock. I highly recommend you bring binoculars to view all the wild life on the river. This is an excellent getaway place.

The house was very clean, and we appreciated the stocked pantry with paper towels, kitchen supplies and spices. Although we didn't have children with us, the house is child-friendly with cute kids' games and water toys. The beds are very comfortable, and the owner is responsive and helpful. We appreciated the access to the kayak during our stay. The checkout process was easy and reasonable. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.

We enjoyed our stay visiting family in Talbot and Dorchester Counties. The house provides a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed visiting the Harriet Tubman Museum during our stay. We appreciate that staple items such as trash bags, dishwasher soap and paper towels were provided. We would love to stay again when in the area.

Peaceful River House

We enjoyed this beautiful river home over the weekend with our adult children and their spouses as we were attending a wedding in Easton. It was about a 20 minute ride through cornfields and Eastern Shore countryside. The house was clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the peaceful Choptank River. We would definitely like to stay again

Beautiful location, relaxing atmosphere

My group and I chose this house as a retreat. It was a perfect place for rest, reconnection, and relaxation. This house was very clean, including the linens. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was even a spice cabinet to use. We used the kayak and the outdoor firepit which was a lovely addition to the weekend. We had two issues: lack of an outdoor trashcan which according to the property manager is supposed to be resolved and a wonky bathroom door that hung sideways and didn't shut which made it awkward for people using the bathroom. Thank goodness we were close friends. Fortunately, these didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the property and the weekend.

Wonderful View

A very nice house, right on the Choptank River. Everything was very clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Easy access to Easton and St. Michaels. Would love to stay at the property again in the future!

Lovely River house!

Our stay at the river house was great! Although we didn’t spend a lot of time on the river, the house was fantastic-very clean, comfortable and provided a gorgeous view of the Choptank. The neighborhood was very quiet! Steven was very prompt in returning my messages. We hope to come back soon!

Calming Maryland Scenic River Stay

Although we did not stay on property long and also it rained the entire time, our family enjoyed the stay and the very serene atmosphere. There was more than enough space for the 5 of us. If planning to stay here, make sure you bring groceries if you don’t plan to leave. The closest stores are over 25 minutes away. If you drink coffee, there is only a Keurig and not a percolator. Our only real caution is we had some ants on the kitchen counters,

Gorgeous property right on the water!

The home is clean, comfortable, and has a gorgeous outdoor living space right on the water. We even had my son's wedding day party prep photos taken here. We would definitely stay here again.

Mothers Day Weekend

The stay here was just how I envisioned. The home was beautiful, clean and peaceful. It was a little chilly during the stay so we couldn’t experience any water activities but that didn’t stop the fun by a long shot. My husband was able to fish as much as he wanted with no interruptions and he caught a nice amount of fish also. 10/10 definitely recommend this home for a nice relaxing weekend. And the host was super helpful and super nice.

I felt so relaxed here. This place is a birder's paradise. Every morning i would wake up to an Osprey in a tree in the backyard. It is a very quiet area. I would definitely come back.

Enjoy the day on the water in our kayak or paddle board, or explore all the wonderful, quaint towns of Maryland's Eastern Shore, offering a variety of experiences and great dining options.

At the end of the day, fire up the grill and eat on the deck, while watching the birds make their way back for the night--we have them all from cackling seagulls to majestic herons and eagles. Don't forget to take in the sunset from the adirondack chairs. Then, move to the firepit to roast marshmallows, while sipping a nice cup of hot tea or glass of wine.

The home is located in a quiet, residential waterfront community. If you would like to bring your boat or personal watercraft, you can launch at a public boat ramp less than a block away. Any public slip use or trailers left at ramp site may need a permit. You can obtain a permit through the county. Otherwise, you can park the boat/PWC/trailer in the driveway of the home.
