Nice place to stay!

We enjoyed the house. Quiet neighborhood close to a park. Great for our kids. Responsive host. Enjoyed the hot tub and that you could see the tops of the mountain from the deck. Hiking in Garden of the Gods was our favorite and this house was in great proximity to that location.

This property was exactly what we needed! We loved the house and all of the available beds! We were traveling with small children and being close to the park was absolutely great! The kitchen had all the necessities and we loved that there was ample garbage bags available to us. The host checked in with us to ensure our stay was going well and was very pleasant to deal with! This house is close to family, so we will definitely try to book this rental again! Overall, great experience, can’t say enough good things about our stay!

Great stay

This was a clean and spacious unit to stay in. The layout is group friendly and the foosball table added a little extra entertainment. We’d definitely stay here again. We didn’t notice the park until the last day. It’s only about a block up the road and looked like a great place to take a walk for those interested.

Pictures are not up to date on this house. Stained and worn furniture, cheap thin mattresses, door handles that fall off, warped blinds, air conditioning barely kept up. Candy under the sofa from previous renters. No coffee table and the request of no shoes on the carpets was ridiculous. Sorry for the harsh review but we expected more

Great stay!

This property was very cozy and spacious which I loved. It was clean and my family and I loved staying there. I truly appreciated the prompt communications from the host with any questions that I had etc. The foosball table was a plus as well as the large Lego blocks that our 2 year old and 1 year old enjoyed thoroughly! Overall my family and I had a very enjoyable stay at this house!

Very Clean

Pleasant house. Quiet neighborhood. Everything was very clean which I appreciate most of all. Three actual bedrooms - five places to sleep. Location was good for me. Nice park half a block north. I would stay again. The only thing I would change is to ask the owner to use non-perfumed laundry detergent. I don't like perfumes and lying in bed, the perfume in the sheets was quite strong and I don't have a good nose for smells.

Good for retreat

We hosted an overnight retreat for our small business here. The large number of beds/bedrooms was accommodating for our needs. Area is perfect, park right next door and quiet neighborhood. Details/amenities in the house need some work to be 5 star worthy though— pots/pans shoddy and hard to clean, doorknob of bedroom door fell off, backyard furniture falling apart/unusable. Overall it was fine but not exceptional.

We walked in and the house was freezing. Went over to the thermostat to turn on the heat. On the “On” position nothing kicked on. On the “Auto” position cold air blew. We waited to see if maybe something would eventually kick on. Nothing. We contacted the property management and were told where the thermostat was located even though I had stated that we had been adjusting it. They then told me it was user error because there had been no problems with it previously. The management said they would get a technician out when they could to get the situation fixed. At one point it took them an hour to respond. We were at the hours for a total of 4 hours before we had to pack up and leave. We were also told no refund would be given because we didn’t give them enough time to rectify the situation. I was not keeping my family in those conditions because they failed to check that everything was working. Very disappointed in this whole experience and we will think twice about renting from anyone on Vrbo again.

Good For What We Needed

The location was great for what we needed. There's a park with great views just down the street but we didn't really get to stay long as we were in town for a graduation. We honestly weren't at the house very long at all.House was fine but the kitchen wasn't quite as clean as we'd like. Nothing horrible, but told there'd be coffee pods for the Keurig but there were none, and no coffee "fixin's" either so I had to run out on graduation morning to the grocery store (very close) which was a hassle - I would have brought everything we needed had I known.Communication was good with the host and there were plenty of beds for us all. The hot tub was enjoyable and they provided towels which was very considerate. I'd recommend getting a few more seats in the kitchen area as there's a bench seat but no chairs on the other side. Had to eat wherever we could really as there was no central dining space for all of our guests. Again, not the end of the world, but something that I feel could likely be remedied easily and make other's stays more comfortable.Overall it was fine for the limited time we were there and gave us what we needed, but could have been slightly better with a few basic tweaks.

Unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy our time in this VRBO because the furnace was not working. When we arrived the heat was not turned on and we were unable to get it working by adjusting the thermostat. I did contact the host who responded but did not do anything to address the issue while we were there. Even after my sending the host multiple photos of the temperatures in the house (57 and 51 degrees) they said it was our fault and did nothing to make it right. The house was very uncomfortable at these temperatures especially as we had kiddos with us. I would not recommend this house, especially not in the winter. I think we were lucky it was warm during the day or it could have been much colder. I also felt really put off by the host's responses and lack of interest/action in trying to first correct the problem while we were there and second make it right afterwards. Proceed with caution.
