Beautiful house with tons of room and bathrooms. More than enough privacy. It was fun watching the planes coming and going on the landing strip.

House was perfect for our family vacation. Kitchen wasn’t as stocked as we would have liked but we had enough to make do. Would have appreciated a welcome binder for instructions about the house and check out process. But owners were great with responding when we reached out through the portal.

The house was lovely! Everything was clean and fresh and we had enough supplies for our short day. Upon arrival. I did notice that the pool needed vacuuming. We arrived the Monday of Memorial Day. It only took a quick call to the rental company and they had someone out the next day to clean the pool! We had a great stay!

Easter family trip

Great location close to the beach and restaurants. House was very nice and clean just as pictures. Everyone really liked that they had their own restrooms in their room even the bunk room had their own restroom. Kids enjoyed the pool. Only problem we had was just a little leak, called the office and they had someone come real quick to check it out didn’t take long. Overall great experience we will definitely be staying when we visit Port A.

The stay was ok

The stay was OK when we arrived at the property we realized that there was not enough towels for the 12 people that it states it can accommodate there was no washrags. There was only two trash bags for the trashcan in the kitchen and both dumpsters outside were full had to go look for an empty dumpster to make it through the weekend. The house was clean. The property was what I was expecting. Just those few items needed to be addressed.

Weekend Beach trip for the kids

Photos online must be dated. Property is in rougher shape than expected, broken towel rods in bathrooms. No bath mats for any of bathrooms, barely enough towels but we managed. There is no sun shade outside or corn hole boards like shown in photos. Couch’s and living room furniture don’t look like they’ve ever been cleaned kinda gross honestly. Floors turn your feet black they’re so dirty. No cleaning supplies in the house to wipe counters. No extra trash bags, dumpsters were full from previous guests. All in all it was fine we enjoyed our stay just wish it would have been cleaner and more kept up. Seems like the place is heavily used. It’s a great location would stay again.

Great vacation home

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Buoy. We loved that the house is within walking distance from the beach. It was clean and had plenty of room for everyone with its 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, two living areas, and good size kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised to see hotel like amenities such as travel sized shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and bar soap included in each bathroom as well as hair dryers and plenty of towels. The under counter ice maker was a bonus for filling our cooler for a day at the beach. The staff was responsive and friendly even when called after hours. I was glad I brought an extra set of sheets as someone else had mentioned because the top sheet was a little rough and uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely come back!

Beach bouy issues

Upstairs mattress dips in center. Downstairs chair filthy sofa is dirty Drawer in kitchen wint stay closed. Broken microwave...or why 2 of them Missing clothes rods so no hang space Towel rack downstairs wont stay on wall Great floor space. Great location. If above items corrected would sure stay again

Lots of pros and some cons.

Overall the house has a good setup. It easily accommodated both friends and family. Some positives. The large table that allowed for all attendees to eat, play cards and gather as a whole. The open floor plan downstairs made playing charades and other games easy. The decor and house is beautiful. Some drawbacks include limited parking (only 4 cars could be accommodated). The walls are thin and if you have the master bedroom you will hear everything. The bedding was clean. The bathrooms don't have enough towels for two adults, so be prepared to do laundry if you stay more than one night. A couple of drawers in the kitchen need to be repaired, so they continued to open I their own accord. Not enough hand towels either. I ended up purchasing more. I wished it had more of an outdoor space but that is a preference not a requirement. Overall we had a great time and loved the quick access to the beach.

When we checked in the house was dirty, the pool was dirty, the ice maker doesn't work and it appeared that the people before us just didn't take care of the place. The air conditioner gave is trouble about mod week as it got very hot and wouldn't cool down. They did send someone to fix it however he was very rude and Appeared to be annoyed that he was there. They did clean the pool mod week but never foxed either of the ice makers or cleaned the house. We cleaned and just bought ice. Perfect size for 10 people but numerous issues.

Great layout - few issues

Overall the house was nice enough for our stay. There were a few things that happened during our stay that causes me to give a 3 star rather than a higher rating. - Unfortunately , when we checked into our house, the temp was 88 degrees. I turned down the ac and gave it about 45 mins but the house was not getting cooler. As soon as I called, they were fairly quick (about 2 hours) about getting the tech out to the house and getting the AC fixed. But since it was the heat of summer, the house was still 84 degrees when we went to bed that evening. It did cool off eventually but took about a day. - There are no closets in any of the rooms. We all thought it was an odd feature to not have in the house. - The kitchen isn't stocked very well with cooking equipment. Our family likes to cook big family meals while vacationing, I found that a lot of the tools were very well worn and rusted or not a full set. There are no kitchen towels for drying. We had to use a bathroom towel during our stay. Will say there was plenty of plates glasses and utensils for the whole family. - The pool had not been cleaned. There was TONS of sand in the pool when we arrived… just seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. - Sugar ants developed on the counter. They were not there when we checked in but they showed up on our second to last day - the drawers in the kitchen island did not stay closed. Small but annoying issue. - all of the shower curtains need to be changed/ cleaned. All of the liners had mold on them and the outside white curtains need to be cleaned…. Overall - the stay was nice enough but it just seems like the house needs a little TLC.

Our pool was only clean for the first day, others seemed to stay blue and serviced. We paid for a private pool but ended up using the community pool due to not wanting our kids to get sick. Shower curtain and liner had not been changed. I sent an email with pictures but no response. Very disappointed, we have rented for years with silver sands

Wonderful week

The Beach Buoy was the perfect location for our 2 family spring break getaway. The house is exactly as pictured and everything was clean and up to date. Beds were all super comfortable and everyone loved having their own bathrooms. Kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary items to cook. House was close to everything, walking distance to the beautiful beach. We did rent a golf cart and that made hauling everyone and everything back and forth so much easier. Plus, it's cool to drive the golf cart to dinner! We would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Just what we wanted!

Our recent stay at the Beach Buoy was just what we wanted. It was a family get together, TX, VA, WA, WY travelers. Some of us don't get around as well so the main floor layout with bedroom was perfect. Some of us do like to walk so proximity to the beach was great. Loved the sitting area and big dining table. Weather was a little cool so we never used the pool but nice ambience.

Property not as advertised

We rented this property because we wanted a private pool. Our private pool was filthy, green water, hair in filter, and not working. The outdoor furniture was not covered as it was advertised. We had sugar ants, exterminator came after calls to the management company, 50 dead ants were found in the sink after treatment. Management company did not respond in a timely manner to take care of our concerns. I made several attempts to contact the company after our trip, however, they did not respond to me in a timely manner. Very disappointed!

We really enjoyed our stay!

The only downside was that the advertised tarp over the side porch was not there other than that the house was amazing!! I will definitely be back

Probably wouldn't stay again

This place accommodated our group just fine, was pretty clean & super close to the beach. The pictures were a little deceiving on location for someone not familiar with the area, as the pool area is not fully private & right next to a busy street, so I wouldn't choose to stay there again. Having 3 masters was great, but none of the rooms had a tub, so bathing a toddler was interesting. The pool area was also pretty small & the shade shown in the photos was nowhere to be found, so we didn't utilize it nearly as much as I thought we would. The house was stocked with everything we needed, but I would recommend a bigger coffee maker, bc the one supplied only made 2 cups at a time.

Not the Best

Pool was absolutely disgusting. There were some sort of sugar ants in the kitchen. The cabinets haven't been cleaned in a long time. There is no canopy over the outdoor sitting area like the photos show.

Hello, we really enjoyed this lovely home. You do need pest control to come in and take care of the sugar ants on the kitchen counter by the sink and also please mail us our coffee grinder as we accidentally left it in the house. Otherwise, everything was great! Thanks.
