Ponderosa

This is a wonderful home and we enjoyed our stay very much. Very clean, but for some reason there are many gnats in kitchen and bathrooms. Its a single story home which is awesome for us older folks. The pool felt like the heater was on so we called maintenance but they never fixed it. The pool was so hot we could barely stand it, not enjoyable. Other than that we would definitely want to stay here again. We had a great time!!! Loved the Ponderosa!

Not really impressed

The house was good but upon arrival I noticed the pool and hot tub was green with dirt and algae. The main reason I rented this place was because of the pool and hot tub and could not use either the whole trip. Unfortunately I Would not rent this property again.

Great pool. House needs improvements

The pool was in great condition, the outdoor furniture needs to be updated but overall in working condition. The jacuzzi jets are not working, so it was basically another mini pool. We had an issue with the jacuzzi water going really low but management sent over a pool person to fix it. The lights around the pool are mostly out. Master bathroom door is broken and does not close properly. The guess bedroom bunk bed makes too much noise, bolts might be loose. The couch bed is broken in the middle so it sinks in, making it unusable. Laundry room smells like cat poop. The kitchen is well stocked.

Location great otherwise many other properties more worth the money to rent

Be advised you may not have read the 100 pool/hot tub heating fee. It’s not obvious and I’ve spoken to other people who rented and they didn’t see and were shocked on arrival. They also had the same other complaints I’m leaving here. The home was not well cleaned. We had to get rid of roaches. Beds were so bad guests preferred the floor. Master bath door was broken and we got stuck multiple times. I’ve reached out to mgmt multiple times without a response and am saddened to leave this review.

Sister's trip

Port A Ponderosa was perfect for our long weekend. Lots of amenities…kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, bathrooms had plenty of towels and paper goods, and the beds and pillows gave us a great night's sleep. The living room was comfortable and plenty of space to relax. The pool was so fun and we dined out beside it several times and lounged on the patio every morning and evening. The golf cart was a lot of fun…nice way to cruise town and the beach. We loved the location, close to everything. It's a nice quiet neighborhood. We would love to stay here again!!!

It was a nice vacation house and a great pool. The back yard couch was very dirty and stained, so didn't want to sit on it,even after wiping off. But at least there were other chairs to sit on outside. The back door was very dirty on inside and outside, but wiped it off good, and got it a little cleaner. And the umbrella was missing for the outdoor table, and the outside shower did not work. But other than that, it was a good stay.

We loved the Port A Ponderosa house.No steps you had to climb lol.A beautiful (bigger than most)pools.Loved the country themed decorations through out the house.Had just about everything you look for in a house..Definitely will rent again..❤️🏖🥰

The place itself was very clean and had all necessary items for kitchen n bath. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was bc i called 4-5 times that day to inquire about ck in n received a different answer from each person. Then all the lock boxes in their system were locked up and at ck in time, the code given to me did not work. The second code did not work. The person who was supposed to help was on the phone n no one else could help. They said theyd send someone but no one came. After almost an hour, a new backup code given to me worked. It was very hot that day to be waiting n maintenance arrived after the hour had passed n i had finally gotten in. The ppl were nice but its too hot to have to wait for help n perhaps they were short staffed. Otherwise, everything was nice…Maybe have a hide a key as backup!

House wasn't as clean as other homes we have rented in Port A. The star of the show is the backyard. The private pool and outdoor space made up for what was lacking on the inside. There is very little storage in the master bedroom since the closet was locked and there is no dresser with drawers to put your things in. We had to live out of our suitcase - luckily we were only there a couple of days. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the home.

Not what we thought

The house was very nice, however there were only 4 towels in the whole house to use for showers. The pool was not heated and we paid for 2 days. I'm only giving this 3 stars because the maintenance man that came out was so nice. The office has been no help at all. Please don't advertise a heated pool that doesn't work. Very disappointed kids and family that rented a house with a heated pool and didn't get that!

Great pool

If you're a clean freak like me, the house could use a deep cleaning. Floors, rugs, bathrooms, countertops were generally pretty dirty by my standards, but my husband said it was fine. The pool was great. Kitchen had basic necessities for cooking, but you will need to bring everything else such as paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc. Great location and walking distance to everything. Kids loved the house.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was great, except for the fact that the hot tub never got hot. After leaving messages and sending messages the issue was never addressed. other than that the house was fabulous

Beautiful Home but not clean

We loved this home but sadly it was not clean. The bathrooms were filthy, hair and dirt all over the floor and in the showers and drains. There were dirty pans and the microwave and outside table had food stuck to it. We chose to rent a home bc we wanted to stay safe from others during this pandemic but we didn’t feel safe once we saw all the dirt and hair. They were still there cleaning at 4:15 when check in time was 4. They came back an hour later to put sheets on a bed. We call the management company and emailed sent pictures but this didn’t seem to help and I had to clean it myself. I never got a return email. It was very frustrating. We aren’t picky people, we just wanted a safe and clean please to stay. The home itself was beautiful and the pool was a lot of fun. It’s in a good location, close to town. We just wish it would have been clean. We also had 4 times that workers just showed up in the backyard while we were swimming. There was no warning or notice letting us know that someone would be stopping by. I don’t think we will be using this management company again.

Cool house with great pool and location

This property is one of the coolest that I have stayed in. The house is great and the pool is also. My family had a blast swimming almost non-stop. The issue that I had was that there was no WiFi password in the home. And, I talked with the property management company about this and they promised to find it and call me back. Ultimately they never called me back. Also I messaged the owner and did not get a response there either. This was a problem because while my family was on vacation, I needed to work while at the home and was unable to. So, I highly recommend everything about this property except for the lack of WiFi. Thanks
