Four seasons of recreation await, with walking trails, nature preserves, Arcadia Dunes and Arcadia Bluffs, kayaking, and golf all beckoning in the warm months. In the winter, go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or just get cozy in front of the gas fireplace in the family room.

At home, start the day with coffee in the sunny three-season room. Throughout the home, you’ll find traditional furnishings, lots of natural light, and multiple spots to gather. Whip up some breakfast in the full kitchen, then grab a bite together at the window-front table. After a day of adventures, relax in the family room, formal living room, or loft area upstairs. For a family movie night, head down to the lower level, grab a DVD, and fire up the projector. Post the day’s pics to social media with the free WiFi, then drift off in any of three well-appointed bedrooms - another peaceful vacation day awaits tomorrow.

The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Secluded but close to everything

This property is very close to the Arcadia Bluffs golf courses and is right off of M22 making it an ideal location for everything available in the area. It is secluded, quiet and has a great backyard view of Lake Michigan. It is a large place and accommodated our group of 6 very comfortably.

It needs some maintenance. The front outside door has no handle and the outside door by the kitchen does not latch. Overall the house was great and would stay again.

The house was old and musty. The air conditioning failed, the house was over 80 degrees. The trash was full from the previous renters, and no trash pickup in our 5 day stay

Close to golf at Arcadia

Great location for a golf trip with the boys. Very roomy. Could use a couple new beds upstairs as they were very small and not what I would call a real mattress....maybe good for a child but not an adult. Well equipped kitchen.

So much space for our family and dogs. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The views of Lake Michigan from the sunroom are amazing and quickly became the favorite spot of the house. Upstairs bedrooms were very warm so if you stay during the summer bring extra fans. The walls around the neighborhood were pretty amazing too!

Home is beautiful and in a very quiet remote location. Very clean and comfortable; kitchen is well stocked. Only complaint was the washing machine works but the dryer does not. For longer stays, available laundry would be nice. Otherwise, this is a wonderful home.

Beautiful Home - Quiet and Excellent Location

There were only a couple of issues. The garbage compressor had not been emptied prior to our arrival and we were inundated with fruit flies in the kitchen. The side door handle had fallen off prior to our arrival, which made closing the door from the inside difficult. But a very beautiful home in a very isolated and quiet area.

Lovely Cottage

Our stay was okay here. Management company communicated immediately but was unable to fix some issues we had. There was no outdoor trash bin available and the upstairs doowall screen was broken (which they said they would rectify). Somethings to note for elderly folks staying here: throw rugs could cause tripping hazard and there is no upper level bathroom. The kitchen is well organized and it is a lovely home. We hope to stay again in the future.

The home was infested with mice and insects. The TVs did not work properly. The dryer was in pieces. One guest got a tick from one of the beds. Could be a nice property. I hope the cleaning company lets the owners know and gets a exterminator in there soon!!

Quiet comfortable retreat.

The house was spacious and comfortable. Certainly the grounds outside the house are suffering from neglect. The gutters above the central entrance need cleaning or repair as rain water is not making it to the downspout and spilling onto the entrance deck. The toilet paper holder in the blue bathroom needs a small Allen wrench to tighten the right side bar holder, also the shower door handle in the blue bathroom is loose. My companion recommends that a more thorough dusting and cleaning of all surface areas is needed. Garbage and recycling need directions for guests. Overall, I’d say this is a lovely, comfortable home, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to have stayed there for the week

Disappointed

The AC was not working when we arrived at the house. I sent a text or called Vacasa/VBRO every day about this. It was never fixed. There were ants in the kitchen and bugs in the bathroom. The outside trash can was not emptied after the last people left, so there was little room for our trash. Because of this, animals got into the trash 2 separate nights and spread trash everywhere. My husband was VERY NICE and cleaned this up before we left. If the trash was not collected the day we left, it would happen again. I reached out to Vacasa/VBRO every day about all of these issues. I was told basically the same thing every day. "I have alerted our local team about these issues, and they will reach out/take care of them." But no one ever reached out or fixed any of the issues. I gave permission to enter the house if we were not there, but no one did that either. The responses sounded like AI responses, not actual people. Very disappointing. We went out and purchased fans and ant killer on our own since no one was responding to any of the issues. The smaller beds in the upstairs bedroom would only be suitable for young children. My kids are older, and they slept on the couches. This was not a problem for them, but the description for these beds should be updated to reflect this. The basement was very musty smelling, so we did not spend any time down there. Since the air was not working properly, we didn't spend a lot of time at the house and didn't sleep well. I hope all of these issues are fixed/taken care of before another family stays here.

Front door never locked , no washing machine , dirty , moldy, bad customer service, bugs , trash out

I traveled with teenagers on our annual family vacation. When we got to the house, the front door never locked. There was no washing machine, and when we had called customer service, they said that unless they listed, it’s not there. I have booked with this company for so many years. Every time I travel, but the response I got was terrifying. When you book with this company, make sure that washing machine and dryer is listed. If not, they don’t have it, I’ve never heard of that before ever in my life. When we get there, the trash was never taken out so it was filled with maggots and flies, the front door never locked. We had to make shift locked since we were there, and travel 400 miles from Chicago to get here, we were in the middle of nowhere. The house smelled of mold, it was dirty, they had bugs, we barely had any trash bags, and if you left underneath the sofa and the bedding, nothing was ever cleaned when I called customer service not only did they refuse to help me, they did not care, and all they cared about was their wording on their page , I will never ever book at this place ever again warning for people who have families in your traveling at least a week on vacation. This place has no washing machine or dryer.

Huge Place with Wonderful Spaces

This house is incredibly spacious and easy to feel at home in. We thought it was walking distance to the beach but it's way too overgrown to do that safely, and you're limited to a small view of the lake from the back of the house, or a better one from the upstairs deck. The kitchen is huge and has high quality appliances, including ice maker, and the eat in kitchen has seating for four as does the front living room, so nowhere for five or more to eat together. Another review mentioned mice and ants, and we saw zero but there was a box of rodent poison open on the basement floor which would have been concerning if we had younger children there. We didn't use the tv but brought a fire TV which worked fine on the internet. Also, I worked remotely during our week there with no trouble from the TV room but poor connection from the formal living room. The bathrooms are large and everything was spotless! The week we were there was chilly until the end, and we had a tough time getting the AC to cool down the house for the last two days. The bathrooms are both on the main floor. The laundry area was a bonus but as an FYI, the washer is small but effective. You have to run a few smaller loads. I wish there was an outdoor patio and the basement smelled mildewy but overall we loved the place! Very comfy beds and bedding. Excellent blinds and window coverings for sound sleep too! Would definitely return!

Great Location with Lots of Potential

The location was perfect for golfing at Arcadia Bluffs, visiting Manistee and shopping in Frankfort. There were several produce stands along M-22 which were handy. The location is very private and quiet. We saw many deer right outside the front door. Pretty! The house is large and comfortable for the most part. The bedrooms (3) had clean linens and the bathrooms & floors were quite clean. Overall the place needed a good dusting but felt clean. There were some issues: 1. The biggest problem was the shower was broken in the main bathroom - leaving five people to shower in the bathroom that was off the main bedroom. Not optimal. We were not told of this and it was not a happy surprise to see a sign on the shower door saying it was broken and a bag taped over the shower head. I specifically filtered my search for 2+ bathrooms. 2. While the kitchen was well appointed with appliances, there were some gaps (dull knives, lack of paper towel, lack of dish clothes and dish towels, horribly uncomfortable kitchen chairs). 3. Lack of information on how to turn on lights in the basement and how to operate the large screen TV and video player in the basement. 4. Lack of washer and dryer. 5. Lack of towels - one bath towel per each person is not enough for a 5 day stay - especially when you're all in one bathroom! Where do you hang them all? The place has so much potential - could be great. Personally, I'd start with the shower then clearing a bit to get a better view of the lake.
