What a location: Walk across the street to hop on the Gondola and at the end of your ski day, ski right to the complex, store your skis and head to your condo! No matter what season, you’ll have incredible access to hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing trails as well as all the shopping and dining on Main Street Breck. This is a magnificent mountain condo; your family and friend will love it!

This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom premium condo works is a perfect choice for up to six guests. The living area features a stone gas fireplace, and there’s a large flat-screen TV for catching the game or the morning snow report. Right off the living room is the balcony — perfect for enjoying the crisp mountain air. Stainless-steel appliances and large granite counters in the full kitchen provide plenty of space to whip up great mountain meals and après-ski snacks. There’s seating for six at the dining table and three at the counter.

Other amenities include shared central laundry, in-town/resort shuttle service, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Plus, all Summit Mountain Rentals properties are professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival and are stocked with hotel-like toiletries and linens. Our helpful staff is also available 24/7 should you need anything.

Location – Walk to town and ski to your door, you cannot beat this location in Breckenridge! Mountain Thunder Lodge sits off Park Ave. within walking distance to the Breckenridge Station Gondola and Main St. Just outside of the complex is the Skyway-Skiway Run that allows skiers to ski home at the end of the day. A complimentary resort shuttle is also available to take guests to the mountain or anywhere in town.

Mountain Thunder Resort Amenities – The elegant yet rustic grand lobby of Mountain Thunder Lodge features a beautifully decorated sitting area that with log accents, slate floors, plush furniture and a fireplace. It also features a fitness center, complimentary shuttle, conference/business space, paid central laundry facilities, common area outdoor pool & hot tub area with gas grills and a children’s play area.

One Ski Hill Place Resort Amenities – Being a guest of Mountain Thunder Lodge also gives you access to One Ski Hill Place Resort located at the base of Peak 8. Amenities include two pools, indoor hot tub, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room, bowling alley, movie lounges, game room, fitness center, rejuvenation center, restaurants, ski school and a complimentary resort shuttle.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was great for our family of 4 and it was super convenient to everything. We called the free shuttle each day to take us to the slopes and it was great to ski back to to condo for lunch and at the end of the day. Having access to the One Ski Hill amenities was a bonus!

Great ski in!

Well cared for property that is a short walk to the gondola. Host was responsive and the checkin was super easy. Great place to stay for a few days on the slopes. Only minor issue we had was the shared the internet in the building was super slow even after resetting the router a few times but otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

The condo was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. Once we arrived from the Denver airport, we never even needed our rental car.One of the highlights was being able to ski right to our door at the end of the day — that truly couldn’t be beat! We also visited the other Mountain Thunder property to go bowling, which was super fun and a great bonus activity.We did experience a couple of inconveniences during our stay. The boiler went out, so we didn’t have hot water for showers and the hot tub was freezing. Thankfully, we were able to walk to another hot tub on site. We also had an issue with our ski locker. While these things were frustrating, Summit Rentals handled the situation very professionally. Their communication was top notch, and they offered us a discount for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back and book with Summit Rentals again.

Exactly what we were looking for!

We loved our stay in this condo. The location made it easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Breckenridge as well as easy access to the highway. The view from the patio was perfect. It had everything we needed for our family of 4 for the week. We will definitely look to stay here again. The owner and manager were great about keeping in touch with us and making sure we had everything we needed.

Wonderful location!

Wonderful stay! This condo is charming and just as described. Easy check in check out process. Just note that it is managed by Summit Rentals and that you pay separately through them. They are professional and have wonderful communication. Condo location is fantastic and we loved being able to ski right to our condo after a long day on the slopes. Highly recommend!

Great experience

We stayed here for the Easter holiday with 4 people including a teen and grandparent. All agreed it was a great unit. I would say 4 people is the max to fit comfortably. We liked the fireplace and patio. Our favorite part was the location, getting to walk to town and dinner, just a short 5-10 minute walk. We also took advantage of ski-in at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend or even stay there again in the future.

Cozy Stay Close to Town

I stayed here for five nights, and I was sad to leave! The condo is clean and cozy, and it's an easy walk to town and the gondola. Plus there is a walking path just a few steps away from the building which was beautiful. Parking was also easy - it's located at the lowest level of the building and you scan your access card to open the gate. I liked being able to park close to the elevator, especially when checking in or out. I wouldn't have changed anything about my stay or the condo, I loved it and would stay here again if (hopefully when) I return.

Great place for spring skiing

We really enjoyed our Mountain Thunder unit. We could easily walk under the tunnel to the gondola and then ski down to our unit at the end of the day. The mgt team were quick and very responsive to our needs and the unit was very comfortable and clean. An easy walk into town if you choose to do so but we ended up driving for dinner. If we'd come back to Breckenridge, we would choose to stay in a similar unit. Thank you.

Our family recently stayed here for Thanksgiving break. We vacation in Breckenridge sometimes 2 - 3 times a year. This condo especially has excellent proximity to everything. Condo was clean, amenities like ski locker on first floor and having a mini market with snacks and drinks downstairs is super helpful. Download the Breckenridge free shuttle app and it’s almost like a free Uber. Pick up at front door and drop off anywhere (always tipping). It’s the best & makes getting around a breeze. Close enough to walk to town, gondola etc

Overall the stay at Thunder Mountain was very good. However, we had horrible experiences on the mountain and with the resort amenities because of our ADA status. The shuttles were hard to catch and it was very hard to get around with my daughters wheelchair.

Boys Du Ski Trip

The check-in/check-out process was a bit wonky. Having to return the electronic door cards back to a lobby with lockboxes was a bit inconvenient having a crazy early flight out of Denver. The unit was very nice. The mattresses were acceptable, not anything to write home about. The "Ski In" feature/location was fantastic. If you can only have one or the other with regards to "Ski-in/Ski out", the end of day Ski In was the BEST!

Mountain Thunder 1201 - Blue Couch condo

Nice condo that is clean and well maintained. The toilet in the 2nd bathroom was running during our stay and was annoying. The bedding and pillows in particular could be upgraded - pillows are not comfortable. We also had an issue that there was a large party going on in the Lobby area on Saturday night and the music was blaring and building shaking until 11 p.m. sharp, while we were trying to sleep. Otherwise, a great location and condo that is beautiful.

Perfect Condo

This condo is just as beautiful as in the pics and so well appointed. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to cook, with all necessary basics like paper towels, dish soap, trash bags etc. It has plenty of dressers, hooks, hangers, towels, and pillows. It is spotless. Lobby, jacuzzi, ski lockers and parking are easy to reach. There is always someone at reception. Towels are available for jacuzzi.Summit Rentals was available a text away and responded quickly when we had minor issues with ski locker and dishwasher. Picking up access cards was easy. Communication was great previous to and during our stay.Being able to walk into town is the best part of this location. Wouldn't trade it for being up in the mountains. You can use the pedestrian walkway to ski out or use the BMMA shuttle. We opted to use the shuttle via their app and were SO impressed by the service. They arrived in minutes and being dropped off saved us so much time and effort. Access to this shuttle is a HUGE plus for this property. We were able to ski-in with no issues even in mid April.

Filthy sheets on all beds

Dirty condo, went to go to sleep the very first night and found what appeared to be old blooded stained sheets and abundant hair covering all beds, appeared to be pubic hair honestly. I rarely write reviews but this was a significant abnormality and deviation of what’s considered normal. I contacted the agency, and after significant delay in obtaining new sheets , over an hour , at 11pm at night wasn’t an option so I obtained sheets from nearby hotel management group…. I sent pics and videos of the filthy condo so they refunded cleaning fee but made no other concessions for our wasted night which also impacted the start of our vacation the next day. Would not recommend this unit.
