Perfect location with very easy access to the beautiful beach. Pool was great and the covered front porch with the constant sea breeze and ocean view was very relaxing. Kitchen has everything you needed to cook full meals and the beds were comfy.

Overall Nice Property and Nice Location. Wood stairs and decking a little worn with nail pops and cracked wood Property needs more hooks indoors and out to hang wet towels and wet swimsuits on !

Right across the street from beach access and a private pool makes this house perfect for our family of four! This is our 4th year in a row and plan on making next year number 5!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was the perfect size for a family of 4. The pool was clean and a very nice way to cool off without having to go get in the ocean. The host was very helpful and friendly. Check in and check out was easy. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a small family.

Great getaway!!

We loved the pool and closeness to the beach!! Clean and relaxing beach house. Basement/garage mildew, but we highly recommend beach house to others.

We loved the house and the location, right across the street from the beach was great, sadly the storm limited our time on the Beach. Lucky the pool was great fun. We would love to come back . Their ice cream store was great too.

Great beach house getaway

Location of this property is perfect. Beach access just steps away and the home has an awesome ocean view as well. They house has a very old school beach 'shack' feel with all the popular amenities you could ask for. Pool was also fantastic just look out for splinters. I would recommend this house 💯%Host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Awesome days on the beach and evenings rocking in the breeze on the front porch!

Leigh was a great host, super kind, helpful and attentive! Her beach home is in a great spot with wonderful breezes and a view of the ocean. The pool was refreshing and perfect for the days not spent on beach. She then invites you to her special place 'Saltwater Shanty' that makes the best homeade icecream I've had since I was a little girl!! My trip was so enjoyable here and you will enjoy her home as well.

Charming cottage across from beach access

This is our second year staying at this wonderful cottage and we plan on returning next year!! This charming two bedroom cottage has a well equipped kitchen with fantastic appliances. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Our two daughters (ages 5 & 6yo) couldn't get enough pool time. Directly across from beach access. Leigh is a pleasure to work with and makes the check-in process easy.

The Perfect Property

Leigh has the perfect property. The front porch offers a great view of the ocean as does the living room and kitchen. The pool is great with plenty of deck seating. The pool room is conveniently located steps from the pool and has a bathroom, washer and dryer and all the entertainment amenities you could want should you need to go indoors during a rain storm. Leigh returned my calls promptly when I had questions.

The place was very clean. Kitchen was well-equipped. Beds were comfortable. The only thing that knocked my rating way down was the living room furniture. My group of 4 were 52 years old to 73 and it was almost impossible to get out of either sofa if you actually sat down on it. They must have been 40 years old. The 2 chairs hurt your but if you sat in them to watch TV for more than an hour. We ended up bringing in folding lawn chairs we had brought with us for the beach, and used them inside instead. Sorry, it was just so uncormortable!

Great beach access, but home is tired and not clean

Great access to the beach right across the road and views of the ocean from the front balcony are great. The home is in need of some updating and a thorough cleaning. Pictures in listing were dated and not accurate, particularly of the pool. The deck around the pool is old and weathered, with nail pops and warped boards that led to multiple splinters for our kids. We experienced ants in the kitchen and needed to purchase some ant traps for them to be manageable and minimize food loss. Recommend to request the detailed check-in procedures before booking as towels are not included and beds are not made upon arrival. Fuel for the barbecue grill is charcoal and not provided by the owners. Move-out procedures were easy and seamless.

Great little beach cottage

We had a great stay at HB. The home was great. The pool was just the right size for our 4 yr old granddaughter. One suggestion I would make would be a handrail on the steps into the pool.. beach access right across the street. Leigh was great to work with! Would stay here again . Ty

Family Vacation

We loved the property... having our own private pool and the beach access was right across the street. It was clean we enjoyed the local coffee shop and Beaches and Cream ice cream shop. The property owner was quick to replying back quickly.

Amazing!

Our little family of 4 had an amazing vacation. The house was the perfect size for us and the location was super convenient. Very close to the bridge so trips to the store were quick and easy. Having beach access right across the street was great and the private pool was perfect since we have small children that tire quickly on the beach. Leigh was also a great host! She reached out to make sure we had everything we needed and made it known that she was available if any needs came up! We will definitely be staying here again!

Wonderful Beach House

I brought my wife, and two kids to this beautiful beach home for the week. It is as advertised. Directly across the street from the Beach, awesome little pool to take a dip, incredible views, close to town for food, and very clean. Leigh was very easy to talk to and prompt with any responses we needed. We are taking home a lot of great memories. Thank you!

Perfect for our family of 4!

Great beach house….. We made great use of the Pool in the backyard and beach access across the street. Nicely and tasteful furnishings yet comfortable. The owner Leigh was a pleasure to work with and responded immediately. The best beach house we have rented. Looking forward to returning to this amazing home for many years to come.

Hey there! I'm Jeff and this is my lovely wife of 37 years, Leigh. We are from Salisbury, North Carolina and discovered Holden Beach in 1987 after I had gotten out of the Navy and we opened a restaurant at Holden Beach called The Seafood Peddler in 1987 and during our 15 years in the restaurant business, our son Skyler was born in 1993. We now run a homemade Ice Cream & Gift shop local to the area called Saltwater Shanty.
We were blessed to find this jewel of a house, and felt it was like finding a huge shark's tooth in the sand. We have made it our own...and have added all the special touches that our creativity would allow. Now we'd like to share it all with you and your family. Our goal is that you'll fall in love with this vacation cottage and want to rent it year after year!

We recognized the special character of Holden Beach upon our first visit in 1983. Thus, we have been here ever since. We respect the fine families that come back year after year for the beauty and innocence of this seaside vacation destination. Step back in time and enjoy the simple pleasures of the ocean!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The single most impressive aspect of our beach cottage is the location...oh and the private saltwater pool...AND the wonderful little ocean views! You kind of feel like your on a cruise ship when gazing out of the 12 foot glass door unit. This cottage has just been completely remodeled with ALL NEW APPLIANCES, bedding, furniture and black granite. Almost everything is brand new! We are conveniently located on the Island with the Pier and General Store just down the road a piece. Both bedroom suites have a glamorous view and direct access to the private swimming pool with huge party deck.
