*RENT FROM A LOCAL!* Coming to Cooperstown for a visit? Why WOULDN’T you want to stay somewhere with a lake view?! Lake View Cottage is cozy, comfortable, charming, and centrally located to everything! While it is true it is across the street from the lake and not ON the lake there IS lake access walking across the street to a shared entry point and 2 kayaks provided! With a BBQ and a spacious deck you might never want to leave! Right on route 28 in Richfield Springs, 15 minutes to HOF/Main St.
This is an adorable cottage across the street from Canadarago Lake. There is lake access across the street and 2 kayaks are provided for your enjoyment. There is a large deck with outdoor seating and a grill. There are 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed (one is an open loft area so does have 1 missing wall and not 100% private but a room divider is available for privacy). There is a shower downstairs and a tub/shower upstairs. All bedrooms are upstairs. The dedicated work area is inside one of the bedrooms. There is a spacious dining area in the home and comfy sectional sofa to relax after being out in the village or on the lake all day. Internet is provided as is streaming services on the TV’s (one in every bedroom!!). Want to unplug? Board games also provided, along with a fire pit in the back yard.
**Please note** The lake road is a main route in Richfield Springs and therefore can be busy but the speed limit in front of the house is 35-45mph depending on the season. This home is right on the lake road and therefore subject to the traffic. This is not tucked away in the woods somewhere. Being on the main route makes it a very centrally located and easy to access property!
You get the entire cottage! Enjoy!
I live in Fly Creek with my husband and 2 little boys! I can be available if you need me however I like to give guests their space and not interrupt a relaxing vacation.
The cottage is in Richfield Springs but close to where it boarders with Fly Creek (a hamlet of Cooperstown). It is on the west side of Canadarago Lake.
11 miles to Baseball Hall of Fame/Main St13 miles to Cooperstown Dreams Park25 miles to Cooperstown All Star Village12 miles to Glimmerglass Opera House 15 miles to Ommegang Brewery11 miles to the Farmer’s Museum
There is no good public transport from the house, best to have your own vehicle.
Lake access is across the street. The lake access is ingress/egress only. It is shared with multiple neighbors as well. As while no one will object to sitting by the water, swimming, or bringing a picnic lunch, we have to be mindful not to crowd up the space so the neighbors cannot access it. So please try and keep it in and out of the lake only and if staying on shore for awhile please just do not create a crowd at the shore. For anyone looking to set up for a whole day at the lake with multiple people I highly recommend Bakers Beach which is only 2.3 miles north on route 28.
