The Airbnb is located 10 minutes from CHS international airport, 15 minutes from historic downtown Charleston and 30 minutes to the nearest beach. We are located in Urban neighborhood in transition off Dorchester rd. We have pool access, strong wifi, cold AC and warm central heat. Extra towels are provided and also coffee/snack are available. The space has a king size beds in each room. This a no smoking apartment

Exactly what we needed.

We really enjoyed staying here. Location was convenient to the outlets and the interstate. Lots of amenities which helped make it feel like home. Loved the end tables in the bedrooms that had lots of plugs and USB ports for charging electronics. It is definitely and older building, but has been renovated nicely. We'll be back for another graduation ceremony and will likely stay here again.

Nice ground floor apartment unit in a 80ā€™s multi building apartment complex.

Unit was clean and spacious. The king size mattress was too soft for me.

Smoke odor gone !

The only thing that I was afraid by recent review was that, but the ventilation system has been fixed the second day of our trip. The rest of the apartment was very nice. and having 2 bathrooms is a plus with kids :)

Clean and quiet.

Facility was clean. Had more items (spatulas, corkscrews, cutting knives etc.) than expected. Was told no toaster but had both toaster and Keurig. Furnishings were old but clean and serviceable. Bed mattress was VERY soft. Bath towels and handcloths were adequate. Would likely book again.

Incredibly affordable, perfectly comfortable

The property is just what I would expect, and exactly what I needed, given the really affordable price. The only noteable downside is that it's located a bit outside of the main tourist attractions of Charleston, so traffic into or near the city can be gnarly during peak commute hours. Abundant parking in the apartment complex. The apartment itself was plenty clean. Appointments were minimal but all the necessary - not a lot of kitchen implements, appliances, spices, but plenty of plates and bowls. Comfortable bedrooms and the living room was a nice living space. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay if you're looking to do Charleston on a budget and don't mind driving into town/aren't looking to drive into town

very disappointed

we just wanted to have a peaceful night in Charleston before we embarked on the rest of our journey . Soon as we walked in the heavy smell of cigarettes hit us in the face . It was everywhere ! the bathroom were not clean , there was hair everywhere and the smell of mold. we couldnā€™t even stay there , we left Looking for a place to spend a night driving around Charleston. Very sad to be charging this much for such a terrible place ;(((

Charleston stay

Overall this was a nice property. However the host was not quick to respond. We arrived at the place before I heard anything about how to get in. We waited 45 min for him to get back to us. Also, there were supposed to be 4 chairs at the table, but there were only 3. We asked and he said it had been broken, but he would bring one over for 2 whole days. He never brought one. We had 4 people but only 3 chairs. Extra pillows didn't have cases and he said he would bring those over, but did not. The beds were way too soft and had very noisy cover protectors on them. As a whole, the place was nice, minus one chair. I would recommend it, but host needs to step up and be more responsive.

Dirty, Not Prepared for Guests, No Communication From Owner.

To start, the check in process was terrible. I received no information on how to get inside the property and only received it after contacting customer support. Once inside the property, we found it to smell deeply of smoke and not be cleaned at all. There were no sheets on the beds and the wet towels from the previous guests were still soaked sitting in the tub. After multiple failed attempts to get in contact with the owner, NO RESPONSE THROUGH THE ENTIRE BOOKING. We immediately had to go to a hotel. Several days later and still no communication from the owner. I have asked several times for a response or refund but nothing. I am out almost $600 with no communication or attempt to make things right.

Decent place to stay but not completely as described

We chose this property for its affordability and it's listed proximity to downtown Charleston for a girls trip. The property is old but the owner has made a significant effort to update it and modernize it. Check-in information was communicated in plenty of time for our arrival. While in a more rundown part of town, we did not feel unsafe. The complex was well lit, there was plenty of parking, and the apartment itself was clean. There were some downsides. The apartment smelled heavily of smoke. An air purifier was running and there were multiple air fresheners in every room when we arrived. We did contact the owner but never received a response. The bed in the master bedroom is AWFUL. The mattress sinks as soon as you sit or lie down on it and the sheets pop off regularly as a result. The mattress in the other room however was very comfortable. The linens were washed in a detergent with strong fragrance so if that bothers you (it does me) then you may wish to consider bringing your own bed linens. A few items in the listing were not as described. There were no extra towels and the ones that were provided were not sufficient even for two people. No fob for access to the pool was provided either. It does not take 15 minutes to get to downtown Charleston but realistically closer to 30 minutes. All in all, our stay was fine but we probably would not choose this listing again.
