Glamping :) Pros: On the lake. Views were pretty, water calm. You can see bridge and ferry. The inside of the cabin was clean for the most part. It fit our needs. Cons: Spider Webs on front porch and in window seals, most the spare sheets and blankets had stains on them and dear lord the first night the unit on the back of cabin (im assuming that where this came from) vibrates the cabin and the bed and makes a loud drill like sound when turning on and off. Second night we were able to drown it out with the fan but the vibration was still there. Im a light sleeper so it bothered me but my husband could sleep through it. Beach was trashed and it is behind a cringy motel. Screen door would flop open with the wind. Needs hooks in bathroom. We had a good stay. For people who want a great view of lake and close to everything, itā€™s a good option. Jodi had them bring us soap when I needed it quickly. Happy about that! Great for Glamping.

Cabin was very clean and fit our needs well. Walking distance to several in town locations including the ferry was nice. Night time fires on the beach were great.

There was a loud motor sound that began at midnight and ran until 6 AM. It was so loud that our sleep was disrupted. The beach and scenery were great and everything we expected according to the listing. But the noise had made this place 1 out of 10.

This place is great. The cabin was clean and adorable and stocked more than i expected. The location on the beach gives and incredible view and you can watch the sunrise over the water from the porch. Will stay again

The cabin is exactly what we expected. Neat & clean, but quite small. Perfect place to sleep & prepare food if your plan is to spend most of your time outdoors or away from the cabin. However, parking is a nightmare. The cabins share a very crowded lot with adjacent motels. There was a lot of illegal parking that did not seem to be addressed by management. Very difficult to maneuver and find a space close to the cabins. Also, because of the close proximity to other cabins and motels, it was pretty noisy. There was still a lot going on outside after 11 PM.

So cute!!!! We are so happy we found this cabin. It is absolutely adorable and sits right on the beach. We walked along the beach, enjoyed morning coffee on the porch, and watched the sunrise over Lake Huron. We had 4 adults and we felt we had plenty of space. We look forward to staying here again!

1, We were not able to get into the cabin with the directions provided.2. When we reached out, we did not hear back from host, but someone showed up (that we were not expecting) to help us.3. That person was not able to help us because the keypad was faulty.4. Another person came with keys and did maintenance on the keypad while we unpacked. 5. When we gained access to the cabin, it was well over 80 inside and had obviously not been aired out prior to our arrival nor was the air-conditioning on.6. Beach was ok. Firepit looked great. 7. Bugs were found in the linens (see pics). Unclear what kind. She had yet ANOTHER person come to check out the bugs who assured us they werenā€™t bed bugs but agreed they were some kind of bugs. Host offered to have housekeeping change sheets, but we were unsettled by the events preceding, and ended up leaving to find lodging elsewhere. While Iā€™m glad Jodi, the host, was responsive when we contacted her with issues, she did not keep us in the loop, prepare ahead of time to avoid these issues, or apologize for our experience. As a loyal VRBO member, I am so disappointed. I wish this had been a different visit.

Best Lodging by Far

I booked this this cabin after reading one review that said "best surprise". And i have to agree! This cabin advertised as able to sleep 6 and it fit our family of four perfectly (Mom, dad, 13yo, 9yo). The cabin was just off the main strip, sat right on the beach, and was so clean! (Rose Marie, the housekeeper, had the place looking and smelling brand new, i hated to let my boys go inside, lol!) I will highly recommend this place to my friends and will remember this for any future trips. Of the places to stay in Mackinaw City, i cant recommend this one enough.

Family trip

Overall, it was a good experience. Location to ferry and downtown mackinaw was good. Cabin was good size for what we wanted. Right on the beach. However the beach is very rocky. Make sure to have water shoes for the kids. Check in was good, except being told we could check in at 1pm and showing up at 3pm and the unit was being cleaned at that time. So we had to wait until 4pm. We would stay there again. Gave location a 3 because the cabins sit behind a run down lookin hotel that is still operating. Kind of a odd location but nice to be on the beach.

Great Lake Huron Beach Front Cabin

We were so happy we decided to stay here instead of a hotel room! We could see the bridge from our porch and see it light up at night. Plenty of room on the porch for our family to sit out and we were right on the beach to walk out and enjoy. We could watch the Arnold Transit ferry coming and going, see the islands. Great atmosphere. The cabin was fresh and clean and comfortable. Bring your own bedding for the futon, there was not enough in the cabin. Everything else we needed was there. We stayed in June.

The cabin was great. We really enjoyed it. It was very relaxing waking up to the sun and the water. We had a problem with the TV's the first night, and left a message for the host, a maintenance person was there to fix them within 10 minutes. He changed one TV and got a new remote for the other one. Like many of the reviews, the cabin did not have a broom and because it is on the beach, the floor was covered the first night. I would give it a 5 star if there was a way to clean the floor. We hope to go back next year.

Not what I expected

The cabin itself is wedged in between to less than desirable motels. Trash was on the beach and really no privacy. Inside the cabin was exactly as described. Fairly clean with an occasional cob web. Our biggest problem was the AC unit. The 1st night we just assumed it needed time to cool down. When we left the following day we left it on but just on fan. It just so happened to be 80 degrees and it kept freezing up when we turned it on after arriving home. The maintenance man was quick to respond but there want honestly anything that could be except turn it off which we did. It was extremely hot in the cabin and we couldnā€™t open the windows bc there was always a party going on on the beach and people would be walking right outside of the cabin. So both night we stayed in an extremely hot uncomfortable cabin. I would not stay here again. Location is close to the ferry but the placement of the cabin allows for zero privacy if you need to open up the windows to sleep.
