My family stayed over a long weekend. It was the lovely waterfront property with a view of Mt. McKinley on a clear day and close to many amenities, including Susitna Brewing and Three Bears. There was a large doc where we could park our jet-skis. There is even enough room to park your own boat. The marina fuel station is right across the bay.Kathy, the property manager, was very kind and easy to communicate with. She was available for questions throughout our entire stay. The kitchen is supplied with all your essentials, and extra bedding and towels were available in the bedroom closets. One thing to note is this property is three stories and has many stairs, including stairs that go down to the dock/water and fire-pit. If you are wheelchair bound or have a hard time using stairs, this may not be the best property for you. This property met all my family’s needs and more. We will definitely be staying here again.

Lakefront Fun

This property was perfect for our group of 5. The lake and dock offered alot of fun for our crew!The views of the mountains were incredible.We hope to be back to Big Lake Heaven Retreat some day soon!I would reccomend staying here.

Spectacular View

Start with the obvious: the view is amazing. The full width deck and picture windows look out onto beautiful Big Lake. If the clouds aren’t too thick, you’ll see Denali off in the distance.It’s a big house with plenty of room for the six people we had. And everything worked. Communication with Kathi, the owner, was excellent. The downstairs was cold, but there was a space heater. There was a pool table and foosball, which were fun. The water isn’t good to drink, so we had to bring in bottles of water. The road to the house is gravel and dusty.Overall, it was an excellent way to experience Big Lake! Five stars by any measure.

Beautiful Lakefront Home

Beautiful house and location. This property has stunning views of Big Lake and easy access for water sports. We loved everything about this property. It was furnished nicely and very comfortable for our family of 8. We enjoyed dining on the expansive deck overlooking the lake and use of the pool table in the basement in the evenings. Owner was great to work with and check in / out was easy. We look forward to returning for a future visit!

Weekend at the lake

Great house with an easy to reach location. Perfect for a lakeside getaway with friends and family. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances for preparing meals. Most importantly the host was very easy to get ahold of and responsive within minutes of messaging. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a nice place to stay on big lake.

Wonderful Stay

This was a great property to say at. The house was beautiful, the property was great, and a perfect location. The hosts were very accommodating, and the check-in process was easy. We would not think twice about rebooking in this location.

Fabulous lakefront stay with beautiful mountain view

This place was amazing! Kathy was gracious in every way and the place was perfect for our family. Beds were comfortable and kitchen fully stocked with beautiful dishes. Two decks overlooking Big Lake were wonderful and serene. Highly recommended and well priced!

Big Lake Heaven

One of the most scenic lots on Big Lake! From a stable expansive dock, to an amazingly perched master bedroom, this property had it all. The view is exceptional! The beds were fantastic, a 10/10 sleep! It was an elegant Big Lake property, with ample space to entertain family & friends. Kathy was kind & attentive. She ensured the home was very clean and tastefully decorated. This is a First Class Big Lake property. We were so happy!

Great property with a beautiful view

This location was perfect for our group of 6. Right on Big Lake, with amazing views of McKinley! Loved the view and the multiple layers of deck along with the great dock. Didn't use the fire pit because we had great weather - but the camp chair came in handy for our larger group.

We had a great stay at Kathy’s place! Beautiful view of the lake, so cozy and so nicely decorated. Great layout, well equipped with everything you’d need. Slept 9 very comfortably! Kathy was a great host, very easy to communicate with and answered every question. Would love to stay again!

House owner, Kathy is very friendly and tentative to our questions about the property and tries her best to help us find information we need to make our 10 days vacation a pleasant experience. I will recommend this lake house to any family looking to make their vacation a best one.

Beautiful place!

What a great weekend to unwind and enjoy the beauty of AK. The host was on point with communicating with us the whole way. The property is beautiful and we had a nice campfire and used the dock for our rental pontoon. Place was stocked nicely and very comfortable.
