Family trip

This was a beautiful property in a convenient location and extremely well prepared for guests. My family and I were very impressed and would highly recommend staying here to anyone seeking a great place in AK.

Location worked great for us since our daughter lives in Wasilla. Quiet, clean and comfortable home. We would certainly use this property again.

Perfect get away

The duplex is beautifully decorated & had many amenities. We loved watching the swans on the lake & sitting on the beautiful patio. Views of the mountains from inside & out. This place was worth every penny!

Clean, well equipped, beautiful lake home

This home was a perfect weekend getaway. Well equipped kitchen, sparkling clean, and great communication with the manager. Great views of the lake and mountains during our winter stay. We will be back to enjoy it again in the summer.

Nice base of operations

A comfortable, clean, up-to-date, newer property that is nicely furnished and set-up. The view outside is pretty and the lake is a nice refuge. We found the location to be well situated between the places we were visiting - Hatcher Pass, Denali, Whittier and Anchorage.

A wonderful stay in a lovely home

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was impeccable and furnished very nicely. The backyard overlooking the pond was a wonderful spot to relax after full days hiking at Denali and visiting nearby towns. The host was responsive and professional. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Beautiful spacious house

This was a great place to stay, right on a small lake and close to both Talkeetna and Anchorage. Beautiful home, had fun relaxing with friends sitting out back looking at the lake. Master bedroom was deluxe . Went put to eat at Everret’s for delicious salmon and got some photos of a Pacific loon pair 🙂 as well.

Stunning!

It was absolutely beautiful inside and out! Very clean, beautiful view of lake and all the amenities one could need! The only issue was that our phone/maps brought us to the back gate and we didn’t realize there was another gate. Not sure how that can be remedied. But once we figured it out, all went well! Loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to others!

Nice House on small lake in Big Lake area

This property appears to be a new duplex-style 2-BR, 2-BA (space that is available to renters) home in a gated community with a modern, open floor plan that provides for lovely views of the yard and lake. The kitchens and bathrooms are very well equipped, such that the renter only need to bring whatever groceries and provisions they like. The master BR is very comfortable and roomy, with double vanities and a large shower area with handheld and overhead sprayers. All-in-all, well provisioned and comfortable home in a quiet and peaceful setting. Now to the downsides...After our initial booking, we experienced a total inability to communicate with VRBO, as the log-in process kept telling us there was a problem on THEIR end. Since we were traveling throughout remote areas of Alaska, access to the Internet was spotty, and we received the details of the location and gate codes on a day or so prior to arriving. We also found that our security gate code was not working upon returning to the property late our last evening. After driving around to the other gate, we found it did not have an access box, so had to return to the initial gate and try to contact the host. Fabio did respond fairly quickly with a new code, but it was inconvenient at that late hour.

We thank you for your review. The gate code is changed after every renter. Vrbo only allows the access the codes within 24 hours prior to arrival, that we have no control of that. Hope you enjoyed you stay.

Lake Front Beauty!

Very modern home on lakefront. Beautiful view of lake and we were lucky to see cranes and swans! Home is very well thought out and beautiful inside. It is definitely off the beaten track, and although it is connected by a wall to the neighboring home, you would never know this! Very peaceful and remote feeling. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend getaway

The property was perfect for our weekend. It was well appointed with all that we needed, very comfortable. We had an issue with the gate code, but John responded quickly and we got in. If people use Maps to find property instead of the directions given, they’ll find themselves at the wrong gate ;-) we may have done that lol.

Perfect lake house

What a great Oasis. It was so very comfortable and had all the small touches to make you feel at home. We absolutely love the view of the lake and the comfort of the beds. I would highly recommend this home.

Was disappointed not to see the swans that were in your photos. My brother did, so I know it wasn't false advertising. Was very pleased with the things left for our convenience and struggle to come up with a suggestion for improvement: A way to hang clothes in the master... maybe a small laundry rack....

Totally beautiful

This house on the lake is one of the most well thought out and put together. It had everything that you might need. Everything was labeled so whatever you was looking for you knew right where to look . Very clean . Would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. !!!
