Set off the banks of Big St Germain Lake in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, Deer Run Resort Unit #3 is a charming cabin with great adventures waiting to be had. Make memories with us year after year at this romantic, peaceful, slice of serenity. All words that come to mind when looking at this cabin neatly tucked away on a private resort property founded in 1907.

Looking for excitement come check out out miles of trails in the St Germain. The trails cater to all four-season that make St Germain a great destination for all outdoor adventure. Cabin #3 is located within 1.5 miles of all main trail systems. ATV, bike, snowmobiling, anything all terrain trail needed let's not forget the miles of cross-country skiing trails, hiking trails and walking trails nested within the system marked separately for safety all located within walking distance of this resort.

What's not to love about a resort that offers the best of both worlds. After touring the landscape that offered miles and miles of trails within 1.5 miles from this cabin, come back home and take 30 steps out your front door to a beautiful sunrise/ sunset on Big St Germain Lake that offers the best possible conditions for all your water activities. Bring all your equipment needed to enjoy kayaking, boating, water skiing, swimming, freshwater fishing. In the winter bring your winter ice fishing gear and any winter equipment used to enjoy the calm solace of the winter months. The crisp clean brisk mornings will light new spark into your day. Enjoy a hot chocolate on the deck all while contemplating the beauty of the Northwoods.

If you listen closely in the summer months, you will hear the morning calls of the close by loons and may get to see the eagles soaring above. Music to your ears, you couldn't ask for a better location for the adventures to be had at this private resort location.

It is a perfect destination for a personal getaway for 3-6 people, this cozy 2-bedroom 1 bath cabin offers 1 queen bed, 2 single beds and sleeper sofa. The living room hosts a wood burning fireplace and has lakeside patio doors that lead to the deck. The property has a Fish House to use along with a kids playground as well. The private, woodsy setting allows you to take advantage of a large yard, an outdoor firepit with seating, and swimming from the lakeside. Cabin at Finley

This cabin couldn’t have been more perfect for my husband and myself. We were here three nights for a birthday and anniversary getaway. The owners clearly thought of everything. The view was my favorite part of this cabin. Was a bit windy so didn’t get out in one of the many provided boats/kayaks. This was a wonderful location to branch out from. We took day trips to Bond Falls and Copper Peak. Supper Clubs we enjoyed were Bear Trap Inn, The Guides Inn and McGregors Blink Bonnie. We did stop in briefly at Little Bohemia to see the bullet holes from the shootout with John Dillinger. Last time I was in this area was as a child when my parents used to take us to Crystal Lake and Muskellunge Campground. Loved this visit!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a relaxing week, weather was not the best, but nothing can be done about that. The vertical blinds on patio door need to be fixed, could not close. The faucet in bathroom sink leaks. Would be nice if the Shower/bathtub had handrails to help get in and out. The baking supplies need to be added to. Need a 9x13 cake pan and cookie sheet. We had this last year. The Teflon fry pans are badly scratched. Otherwise, was fine. Made our yearly trip to the Flea Market near St. Germain. Also shopped at surrounding towns.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I recently stayed in this unit, its our second year. Its a very cozy cottage and great for the two of us. It was very clean when we arrived. The only problems were they advertised a queen bed, we think its a full size bed that could use a new mattress. The bottom sheet had pills on it. The kitchen utensils, dishes and pans were a hodgepodge of stuff. We would have liked a nice coffee mug. The pier in front needs some new boards on it. The chairs on the beach need to be replaced, most were cracked. A little maintenance goes a long way. Overall our vacation was great. Our plans are to go back.

Quiet, beautiful colors and supper club outings. In reading the Welcome Book it stated that 2 bedroom units were charged a $75 cleaning fee. Whereas we werecharged $170 TWICE as we had two fall bookings. Don’t understand this discrepency.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was a nice stay, our families rent 5 of the cabins and have a wonderful time together. Cabin 3 had stains on carpet floor when we got there. 2 of us are in our 70's and there aren't any safety bars in the bath\shower. The railing outside going up to kitchen entrance has a loose railing. Mentioned this last year after we were there in 2023 and no changes were made. Yet every year the price of this cabin goes up.

6th Stay at Deer Run Resort

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The shoreline is nicely located and kept clean. Great sunsets from this location. I have never swum in this area, nor would I. Too weedy for me. The pier is nice but has suffered damage from some users. We continue to come here for the location, as we are bike riders, and we like the general atmosphere of the area among these cabins.Many wall outlets have not been installed incorrectly and are hard to access or the plug just falls out. The trees have been ignored for years and many limbs need pruning as the deck is constantly filled with tree litter and acorns. We cleaned out the outdoor light fixtures ourselves as the were totally jammed with bugs and the light was barely visible. We cleaned out the grill before we left, wish the prior users had done the same for us (a supposed requirement). We cleaned out and replaced the vacuum cleaner bag ourself as it was filled to near overflow. Apparently no one bothers to check. The road in is always riddled with large pot holes. If you wish to speak with someone from the property management you will need to leave a message, but you will get a return call.

It is a very comfortable cottage for 2 - 4 people. This was our 3rd year of staying there and it would be nice to see some updates done with in the cottage. The queen size sheets are terrible, the bathroom could use some updates. The deck could also use some painting/staining...updating goes a long way!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love Deer Run. We have stayed here 4 out of the last 6 years in St. Germain. We have stayed in this cabin before and it was much cleaner. That was only about 1-1/2 years ago. This time it was not very clean. The cleaning fee was 170.00!! There were cobwebs, meat in the burners of the stove and sink. Also the furniture and carpet look they have never been cleaned. Stains were on the floor and smelly recliners. Couch was not as bad, but also could use a cleaning. This cabin definitely needs a good cleaning and I hope the 170.00 helps get that done. It also could use some updating. One other thing I noticed is that all the garbage goes in the dumpster and there is no recycling anymore? When Cropsey managed Deer Run, I thought it was better kept up. Sorry... but just being honest. I still like the place, but I had to give my honest opinion and hope that things get better. Thank you!
