Beautiful Petersonbay Chalet on the East Shore of Lake Metonga

Nestled in the Heart of the Northwoods of Wisconsin this Four season Chalet is located on the East shore of beautiful Lake Metonga. Just two miles from the City of Crandon and across the road from the new Wolf River Multi use Trail (Hiking, Biking, ATVing and Snowmobiling).

Crandon is a charming town offering Restaurants, Antique Shops, Gift and Clothing Shops, and Historical Museum. We are situated 15 miles away from the 18 hole Nicolet Country Club Golf course, and six and twenty miles from Mole Lake Casino and Potawatomi Casino at Carter.

Whether you are looking for an active vacation, or just want to kick back and relax, The Peterson Bay Chalet is the place to be. Included in your rental is the use of a Paddle Boat, , Bikes,Kayaks, Stand up Paddle Boards and Row Boat. A 14ft. fishing boat with a 20HP motorfor rent. There is also dockage at the pier if you bring your own boat. The Wildlife viewing is abundant from our Hammock Deck at the Water. You can watch the Eagles soar overhead while looking for fish.

Our family of Loons will serenade you late into the night, and if you are lucky you might spy a Otter or a Muskrat swimming past the pier. A Campfire, and Smores is a great way to end the day.

Peterson Bay Chalet is a State Liscensed property for short term rental.

Great hosts and a beautiful handcrafted chalet! Our family had a great time and a great memory for us to remember. We brought our UTV for fall color riding and the trail access is directly across the street, super convenient. Hope to return for another adventure!

Family get together

Beautiful hand-crafted cabin on Lake Metonga with owner and long-time gracious family host in own cabin on property. Everything you’d want in relaxing setting with dock and boat usage. Nice aesthetics and taxidermy adorns the place lending a great North Woods vibe. Check it out for your next adventure.

Great hosts and the most unique property ever!

You must try this place. The owners are great people and make you feel welcome upon arrival. Even though the weather was pretty awful, we made the best of it and got to enjoy the inside of this very cool property! Thanks again for a great stay!!

Great chalet , beautiful lake.

We really enjoyed our time on the lake and at the chalet. The place itself has everything you could need. The lake has kayaks , paddle boats and is good to swim in. It is a peaceful place to be!

Outstanding stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Peterson Bay Chalet. The property was beautiful and the apartment was clean and cozy. Gary the host was incredibly nice and helpful. We enjoyed using the water toys and exploring the bay and the lake. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a long relaxing weekend.

Relaxing Getaway

Hosts were excellent to deal with and property is well cared for. We weren't able to use all the amenities during our stay but there are many options provided by the hosts.

My two day vacay

I greatly enjoyed my two day vacay at this lakehouse home! The family was extremely kind and helpful! The silence away from the city was amazing. It’s a different peace of life with nature rather than loud people and loud lights. I’m thankful for the stay and the access to the fire pit and the boats and the amazing space that was offered. Thank you so much and I’d love to go again.

A beautiful lakeside getaway

We loved the Mueller's stone cottage on Lake Metonga. The architecture was unique and it was set back from the their home so we really felt like it' was our own home away from home. Chris and Gary are gracious hosts who encouraged our use of their dock and all their water toys including their kayaks and canoe. We definitely plan to return.

Can't wait to go back!!

The stay at the Chalet on Lake Metonga was perfect!! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway spot. The accommodations were clean, spacious and provided a great outdoor eating area for my meals. The views were beautiful whether sitting at the dock or swinging in the hammock. The hosts were gracious and provided me with privacy during my stay but were available to answer any questions or offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I will definitely be back!

Amazing Cabin!

From the second we drove up we knew this place was going to be amazing! The owner's we're so welcoming and every detail about this property was meticulously taken care of from the yard to the interior on the Chalet. We loved every detail they put into this place. Can not wait to come back again. If you guys decide to rent out in late January or early February we'd love to bring to boys up for a weekend of snowmobiling :) Thank you for sharing your place wit us!

Wonderful Stay

Chris and Gary had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The place was impeccably clean, our kiddos loved the paddle boat and the row boat. They had tons of outside toys and a swing set. The location is also just a quick bike ride from the county beach which was nice and shallow and easy to enjoy with young kids. We loved our 'vacation'. Is it ever a vacation with little kids? :)

Great weekend with my college buddies

Me and 4 of my friends stayed a weekend in late July. We loved the building and the architecture. The property was very nice and well kept. We swam by the dock, grilled out, played yard games, adventured around town, and had a camp fire both nights. I didn’t expect the owners to be in the property with us in a separate building, but it was never a problem. They were nice enough to set up games, kayaks, fire wood and other lake amenities for us. Super nice and seemed like fun people. Overall a spectacular weekend.

Beautiful & Unusual Architecture

This is a really nice lake home; very comfortable and clean. The owners are extremely accommodating, flexible, and considerate - with great senses of humor to boot! We appreciated everything there was available to try to keep two loud and lively toddlers busy (and it was Labrador friendly!). The paths on the private acreage and the public bike trail across the street were great resources; it would be wonderful in the winter for X-Country skiing or snowshoeing; the lake & dock are just steps from the front door. The living room and kitchen/dining area were much bigger than I expected. We had a very nice time at this home!

Wonderful Wood

Beautiful construction. the woodwork is amazing. It is a open concept lay out. there are walls but no celling on any of the rooms. Including the rest room. There is also no curtains on the windows. Lovely property but you are not right on the lake. There are also several animal mounts throughout chalet. So, it might not be for everyone. Overall, we had a wonderful time.
