The Lone Palm is our amazing vacation home, 100 paces from the ocean at world famous Shacks Beach.

This home is a duplex that has a total of 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
There is a complete 3 bedroom home on the first floor and the second floor offers a 2 bedroom home.
Both homes are complete with bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas and livingrooms. This listing and pricing is for the entire house/property but the units can be rented separately upon request.

The house has large louvered glass screened windows and doors throughout to enjoy the Caribbean breeze as well as ceiling fans in all rooms. All 5 bedrooms are air conditioned. The kitchens are fully equipped for preparing meals and there are many good restaurants a short distance away for your dining pleasure. Furnishings are all high quality, lovely high count cotton linens and big fluffy towels. The partially shaded sod yard is fully fenced and the property is gated and very private.

'The Lone Palm' offers a total of 5 bedrooms, broken up into two large apartments. There is a 2 bedroom unit on the second floor and a 3 bedroom unit on the first floor... the perfect combination for a group or extended family getaway! Both rental units offer covered terraces, BBQ’s, wifi, smart TV, and private, gated sod lawn grounds. All bedrooms are air conditioned and 4 of them have queen sized beds, 1 bedroom has a twin over full size bunk bed.

There is an amazing outdoor shower (and complete bathroom), “The Little Loo”, which is a favorite of all who try it.

The House sleeps 10 adults comfortably.
ABSOLUTE maximum capacity for whole house is 12 people.

OUR 2 BEDROOM HOME......
The upstairs unit, known as 'The Upper Palm', is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom unit offering a queen size bed in each bedroom. It has an awesome open floor plan with high ceilings that opens up to a huge deck overlooking beautiful lush dunes and the ocean. Both bedrooms in the upper unit are air conditioned and also have ceiling fans.

OUR 3 BEDROOM HOME.......
The ground floor unit, known as 'The Lower Palm', offers 3 bedrooms/1 bath. 2 of the bedrooms have queen size beds, the other bedroom has a bunkbed (full size bed on bottom, twin on top). This unit is and has an open, airy floor plan. All three bedrooms are air conditioned and also have ceiling fans.
The 'Little Loo' is an additional full bath with shower, outside.

About the area.........
Isabela, Puerto Rico is located in the quiet North-West corner of Puerto Rico. Just a short 3 1/2 hour direct flight from JFK or Newark and there are no passports required for US Citizens.

Our home is just 10 minutes from the small Aguadilla Airport (airport code BQN) or a manageable drive from San Juan (SJU)(1hr 30min)

Situated at the end of a dead-end street, our house is just 100 steps from a quiet, private 5+ mile strip of undeveloped beach front. Isabela is a very serene area with very little to do...just simple pleasures.

The house is equipped with WiFi, and smart TV's

Towels and linens are provided as well as beach towels and beach chairs.

Our VERY nearby attractions include 'Tropical Trailrides', just a short walk down the street, Ola Lola's Garden Bar, a lovely way to experience the local flavor, Villa Montana, a nearby quiet upscale resort w/restaurants and spa services on site, Shacks Beach, an amazing snorkeling/diving beach and surfing beach.

Our Isabela Beach House can be your headquarters to explore and enjoy the many nearby activities and attractions. Within minutes, you'll be at prime spots for World Class surfing, windsurfing and kite boarding, scuba diving and snorkeling. Only 10 minutes away is the 18-hole Punta Borinquen Golf Course, President Eisenhower's favorite, literally located at the northwest tip of the island on a plateau overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Across the street is the Punta Borinquen Tennis Club and nearby are bowling alleys, running track, theaters, shopping centers and a water park. Also only 10 minutes away is a new beginner to extreme skateboard park that is also a little kids play ground and water park.

The property is very versatile:
~ Great for an extended family vacation. The house is big enough that everyone can vacation together yet there is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space :)
~ The house is great for a girls get away! Spa services are available just a short walk down the beach at 'Villa Montana'. We can also recommend a great masseuse!
~Awesome family house! The island offers a list of great daily adventures: rain forest with water falls, caving, horseback riding, beach beach beach! (list at house will give you lots of choices and details)

Beautiful, big house with everything you need!Comfortable, clean, spacious, and remote enough to feel like you're part of the island, but near enough to everything so you can get/do everything like a tourist! The property is very peaceful and we always felt safe.Just steps from beautiful Shacks Beach and you can hear the surf from the balcony. All communications/responses were very prompt and helpful.Perfection!

Excellent House and Location

We had a great trip! The location on the island allowed us to snorkel, explore and see all the parts of the island we wanted to. The house was as expected, easy to get in and out of, and provided a great experience for our family!

Great host and great place

We had such a good time at the lone palm. The hosts were so quick in answering all my questions and helping with everything ! We stayed here with our 3 kids and my parents stayed in the upstairs apartment . It was the perfect setup. There are ac units in each room, but just note there isn’t one in the living room area. The beach is right down the lane and has beautiful coral reefs to explore. We had so much fun!

What a wonderful house no wonderful location

There were five of us, and we were all comfortable and happy in this beautiful home. We were close to the beach, and we walk there several times a day. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen worked well for us, and we loved it!

Great place steps from Shack's Beach

We've been coming to Shack's Beach for years and this is the first time we've stayed at this property. It was situated beautifully just over the dunes, steps from the beach. The owners and property manager were full of great advice on activities, services, places to eat and visit. The property is as pictured. Overall a beautiful and restful recharge for the start of the new year.

Relaxing beach house with a view!

Our extended family had a great time together at this wonderful, casual beach house. We loved being steps from the ocean, just down a path and up and over a wood walkway ramp. We enjoyed many afternoons and evenings up on the second level deck overlooking the phenomenal view. The house was fully stocked and comfortable. Only thing I wish we had was access to the laundry.

Perfect Tropical Escape

The Lone Palm is situated on a peaceful lane leading directly to the ocean by foot. You are literally steps away from a pristine tropical beach where you can walk for hours. We chose this location to snorkel and it did not disappoint. Plenty of fish to see and the water is crystal clear. The house itself is so spacious in both units with huge common areas to enjoy. We slept 10 people comfortably. Amazing patio space upstairs looking over an open field. Waves in the distance. So peaceful. 2 restaurants in walking distance and anything you need minutes away. Cannot wait to return!!!

Beautiful setting

Our whole family really loved Isabella and staying so close to the beach. The house is in a great location. The beds were comfortable, loved the water filter, and was very grateful for the coffee maker! We stayed in the first floor unit and it is a spacious unit for a family of four. All of the towels and beach chairs were provided which was really great. Although superficially clean, the kitchen in particular really could use a deep clean, a new toaster oven and a fresh coat of paint. It is a comfortable but worn unit. Also, some of the information provided by the owners was outdated, including that there was no internet when there is internet access, which is really handy to know.

A gem along Puerto Rico's north shore

My family of six adults stayed at the Lone Palm for a week. I can't say enough about this place. The owner responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had, as well as supplying helpful information about the area. We did ask for one area to be re-cleaned which was arranged within an hour, and which exceeded our expectations. We rented both apartments. The upstairs family area is spacious and has tremendous views of farmland, cliffs, and some ocean views. The upstairs lanai quickly became our favorite part of the house. We used this area as a family base, although the downstairs was also a good area for gathering. Both apartments were thoughtfully equipped to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The Lone Palm is as close to the beach as advertised. Although Shacks Beach is not perfect for swimming this time of year due to high waves and undertow, just down the beach from the house there was a calm area for snorkeling and swimming. We could walk for hours along the beaches in the area. Popular Jobos Beach was within ten minutes by car and quickly became our favorite swimming place. If you want a quiet, somewhat secluded retreat that is still close to markets, restaurants and swimming beaches, the Lone Palm can't be beat.

Just what I wanted and needed.

After reading reviews of where not to go in PR, I was getting hesitant about the vacation. This place felt safe. It was clean and close to the beach... even though it's not a swimming beach, unless you walk way down the beach (not to far). Rented entire house. Love the two levels. Will rent again next year.

Great family vacation

The Lone Palm is a great place for a large family vacation. We rented both units and it accommodate all of us, 8 adults, with plenty of room and beds to spare. The house is steps away from the beach and is nestled on a very quite and private street which allowed for great star gazing and wildlife viewing. The area has many delicious restaurants and is minutes away from the BQN Aguadilla airport. Beware car rental companies in this airport are not very reliable. The beach is great for surfing and snorkeling but not ideal for swimming as there is a lot of urchins and coral. The only negative was the lack of smoke detectors throughout home. The house does have WiFi and good cell service even though it’s listed as no WiFi and 3G service. LJ was a great host and was readily available to offer any assistance and recommendations. Hola Lola’s is within walking distance and has good drink, food and good vibes. All in all a great vacation spot!!

Beautiful location and view

We rented this location as a group of 10. There was plenty of room for everyone and the location was perfect for us. Isabela had plenty of nearby places to visit and is a perfect distance from many places for day trips and exploration. We had a mix of first timers and repeat visitors to PR so we spent a lot of time exploring, but the upper apartment deck was a great place for spending the morning with coffee and breakfast due to the amazing views. The guest hosts were very responsive to questions and had great suggestions for places to check out nearby as locals of the area. Each bedroom has great AC and the available WiFi and smart TVs worked well in our limited usage of them. We spent most of our time in the Upper Palm as it was a bit nicer and brighter and closer to the beautiful view. Being so close to the beach was great as well and the views are just as beautiful as the pictures show!

Great location

The house was perfect for 3 families. A very short walk to the beach and 2 very good restaurants in the neighborhood. The snorkeling was phenomenal at the beach by the house. We really enjoyed the breeze at night while enjoying ocean views from the upstairs outdoor living area. Some in the group did complain about the wind while on the beach as the sand would blow constantly. However if you walk 10 minutes around the corner it is protected and there are beaches nearby like Borinquen and Crashboat beach that were not as windy. All in all a great spot and the property manager was excellent. He provided great information and was very responsive via text to our questions we had about the local area.

Had a great time, would recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lone Palm. The property owner was always quick to respond to inquiries and the property manager was extremely helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left. We opted to rent the entire house and both units are very nice. The upstairs unit (2 BR) has a great view of the adjacent land and ocean. The house and property are well maintained and clean and most of all the beach near the house is great for snorkeling. Bonus - Ola Lola's Tiki Bar was fantastic and only a short walk away. The food and service there were great. We learned the owner of Ola Lola's stayed at The Lone Palm on her first trip to PR. I guess that just goes to show the attraction of this property (and the island)!

Serene Private Secluded Paradise

Spectacular! The location is truly unbeatable - so many points of interest less than 20 mins away. And right on the best beach for snorkeling & free diving. The reef(s) was the best diving & snorkeling experience I have ever had. Only issue was the generator never came on during the (2 or 3) power outages. They had a repair person come out to fix it multiple times though. Also the oven and microwave were not working in the upper level. The property manager was extremely helpful and kind.

We first visited 'Shacks Beach' in 1999 and fell in love! We purchased 'The Lone Palm' in 2006. As a surfing/diving family, we find the area ideal. Located in the North-West corner of the island it is easy to find the perfect break on any given day.

Although the house is located at Shacks Beach it is not in a congested area, it is located at the end of a dead end street. A very serene setting with no traffic or noise.....except for a few horses riding by and a talkative nearby rooster :)
We are literally 100 steps from the ocean, accessed by a path through a canopy of palm trees.

Our very own beach offers amazing Kite Boarding, Snorkeling, Diving, Swimming and Beach Combing.........Miles of uninterrupted beach to stroll!
Within a short walking distance you'll find 'Ola Lola's' garden bar & cafe as well as Tropical Trail Rides, Villa Montana Resort, & Eclipse Restaurant.
