With updates throughout, space for 6 guests and a central location, Surfside Cottage is the ideal vacation home to experience all that the lake has to offer.


Surfside Cottage is located in Moneta, which is on the Bedford County side of Smith Mountain Lake and close to everything! This prime location offers easy access to major roads, grocery stores, boat rentals, restaurants and activities, which are all within a short drive or boat ride. The house is on a quiet cove with low traffic and it's a quick 5 minute boat ride to the main channel. This lakeside location cannot be beat!

Home Layout Details:
One level living with 3 bedrooms (1 king and 2 queens) and 2 full bathrooms
King bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a shower
Queen bedrooms share the hall bathroom with a tub/shower combo
Open concept common space with a updated kitchen, living and dining areas
Updated kitchen which includes everything you need to prepare meals
Enjoy meals at the island (2 stools) or the dining table overlooking the lake (4 stools)
The living room has two sofas and a large flat screen TV and a dog bed for your furry guest

Outdoor Features:
Private boat dock with a gently sloping walkway and stairs down to the lake from the house. The cove is plenty wide with easy access for any size boat and stays around 4 feet deep.
Large covered porch overlooking the lake with a cozy seating area (perfect for morning coffee) and a dining table for 6 to enjoy meals outside
New 6-person hot tub to enjoy with views of the lake
Stone fire pit
Yard with Adirondack chairs and plenty of space for your kids and dogs to play
2 kayaks and a canoe with a variety of life vests for use during your stay

Extras Included:
Up to 2 dogs with NO extra pet fee. We provide food bowls, gates for the porch, a few toys and plenty of yard space to explore
ALL bath and bed linens:
Bath linens for 6 guests (1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth per guest)
All sheets & bedding is also provided along with extra pillows and blankets
Kitchen towels
Coffee (ground and k-pods), tea and filters
A variety of spices and cooking essentials like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc.
Cleaning supplies & essentials like dish soap, a sponge, dishwasher liquid, laundry detergent, hand soap, countertop spray and trash bags.
A starter supply of paper towels and toilet paper is also provided

The cottage is in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood with about 15 homes, surrounded by farmland and gorgeous lake views. It's the perfect place to relax, let the kids (and dogs) play and enjoy nature. You'll even have a view of Smith Mountain on your way to the house!

*Please note: we are currently renovating the basement level to make more space for guests, so it will not be accessible during your stay. But, rest assured there will not be any construction during your time at the cottage. There are three exterior security cameras at the property, which are located at the front porch and basement door.*
