If you're looking for somewhere off the beaten track, this place is for you. Cute little basement flat right - great amenities, great view and all the small things like board games included. Fantastic host and its a really really comfortable place. Highly recommend

An absolute gem. Peaceful. Relaxing. Clean. Beautifully designed and decorated. A little paradise a couple minute drive from Beautiful Almont. Host is extremely kind and helpful. Truly a lovely stay. I would definitely book here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely and clean and we really appreciated the air conditioning! The host had thought of everything from a very well provisioned kitchen to thoughtful touches such as comfy bathrobes and a cozy couch blanket. We would definitely come back! Rhonda

Lovely annex, I felt instantly comfortable. The host are very kind. The view is terrific and there are flowers everywhere. Really nice relaxing stay.

Perfect stay

Very responsive property manager, baby friendly place. We had a wedding in the area. The place is in a great location and the property is beautiful. Would recommend for anyone who has something going on in the area.

Favourite place for a quiet retreat

This was my second stay at the Heron's Nest for a solo writing retreat and it won't be my last. The accommodation is comfortable and well appointed, very quiet, and within easy walking distance to the lovely shops and restaurants of Almonte. I love waking up to the sound of the waterfall and the birds, nestled down in the coziest of beds with the softest sheets. The Heron's Nest has everything I need for the perfect trip away from home.

Great space! We loved the natural light & being able to open the screen door to listen to the birds & have the fresh air. The extra amenities like the robes, chocolates,all of the bathroom supplies, and a few stocked fridge & drinks was lovely & unexpected! Being on the water felt like being at the cottage :)Nice walkable distance to downtown.

This was a perfect, peaceful getaway. The views and outdoor space were absolutely amazing and felt very private. The apartment was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully appointed with little extra touches like robes and a nice selection of blankets. The shower was one of the best ever! It’s a very easy walk to anywhere in Almonte. AC was great for very hot days but there is wonderful breeze when you open the windows. A real gem!

Wonderful space

Communication with the owner was easy and friendly; the suite was lovely, clean and tidy, with additional amenities such as extra food items in the cupboard and fridge; appliances were easy to use and modern. There was outdoors access to a small deck, and a patio area with a barbecue. I would certainly choose this location again!!

Almonte; the Mexican General

Our stay was as good as it gets. We wanted a kitchen and private area for a bedroom and it delivered. The renovation was done very well and in many areas it was above and beyond. The shower head for example. Very quiet and extremely well equipped. The fridge was well stocked which was a surprise to me as I didn’t expect so many food items. The price took a bit of getting used to as it seems like a lot to pay. I’m in no way sighting Meredith for this. I’m sure VRBO takes a big portion. Consumer price push back will happen as the latest travel surge slows. We would stay here again!
