Dr. Brown's Oasis: Set among towering cedar trees, this family-friendly home offers a perfect retreat to relax & reconnect with nature. The house & its stunning flower gardens were cherished by our late father, Dr. Jerry Brown, a beloved veterinarian from Yelm. He took immense pride in the tranquility of his gardens & the nature trails surrounding the property—a true 'Spiritual Oasis.' Wake up to the singing birds, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the yard & nature trails, or unwind on the deck.

The space:
The 2,600 sq ft home is mainly one story with an additional living space that is down a few stairs. Main house sleeps 6 people. Detached rustic cabin available upon request for an additional fee of $45/night.

INDOOR LIVING: The spacious, fully equipped kitchen boasts two seating bars with elegant granite countertops. Small appliances include a coffee maker, coffee grinder, Vitamix blender, crock pot, juicer, toaster, and popcorn maker. Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find a cozy coffee and juicing nook as well as a pantry. The open living room features high vaulted ceilings, leather reclining couches, a 70" smart TV with sound bar and subwoofer, a DVD/VCR, and a wood stove with a custom stone backdrop. The dining room, connected to the living room and kitchen, has a table that seats six but can be expanded for additional guests; there's also a bistro table for two, and the seating bars accommodate four. The sunroom offers skylights, three sliding glass doors, radiant floor heating, various seating options, and musical instruments (piano, guitar, rain stick, maracas). Free high-speed internet and Wi-Fi are provided by Starlink.

OUTDOOR LIVING: Enjoy a spacious, beautifully landscaped yard filled with pollinator-friendly flowers, set in a tranquil wooded area with trails. Relax on the deck at the picnic table or unwind in one of the two cushioned chaise lounge chairs. There's also an additional table and four chairs on the patio below the deck, along with both a charcoal and a gas BBQ grill. An extra refrigerator is available for your convenience, and outdoor activities include cornhole, frisbee, balls, and badminton.

GENERAL: Linens/bed sheets (100% cotton), towels, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries (soap, shampoo/conditioner, Q-tips, cotton balls), hair dryer, lighted vanity mirror, beach towels, extra blankets, cooler, yoga mat, laundry detergent/dishwasher detergent, clothes hangers, pack & play, high chair, kids toys and books, jogging stroller. Additional baby gear may be available upon request (swing, bouncer, etc).

Additional info: No central A/C, but there is one portable A/C unit and fans in each of the bedrooms. Well-behaved pets welcome with one-time pet fee. Tropical indoor plants will need to be watered approx. once a week either by us or by tenant.

Rustic cabin:
We also have a rustic cabin adjacent to the house that can accommodate up to four additional guests. While the cabin doesn’t have its own plumbing or bathroom, the third bathroom in the house is just 80 feet away, with a well-lit path. Inside the cabin, you'll find a king-size bed, a pull-out futon, and a twin bed in the loft. The cabin is available upon request for $45 per night.

We live on a neighboring property, so we’re nearby and available whenever you need us. While we enjoy interacting with our guests, we also respect your privacy.

Lawn maintenance will be conducted weekly, with occasional yard checks by arrangement during the spring through fall months.
