Let the kids explore with their imagination; discover the hidden bookshelf door leading to the secret bunk-bed forest room! Plenty of board games and puzzles await in the neighbouring game room. We have a selection of all kinds of books for ages 0-5. All floors are fitted with retractable gates at the top and bottom of each staircase. A high chair and pack n' play with a firm newborn mattress is available on request for the little heirs!

Any parent knows there are a million things to think about when planning a trip with children so let us take some of the burden off and answer questions for you! Click contact host and we can help prepare your trip as stress-free as possible!

The host, Charles, was very welcoming, accommodating and responsive when we had questions. The house was as depicted and very comfortable. It was well stocked and included thoughtful items not normally provided in other VRBOs we've stayed at. There were 4 of us and everyone felt the same. The inclement weather on one day changed our plans, but only made us appreciate the house that much more.

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation, this is the home for you. The home is very cozy with nice views of the river and forest. Clean, well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.The home is located 10 minutes from great restaurants, shopping, hiking and site seeing activities.The owner is very responsive and helpful with all questions and suggestions. They provide a very comprehensive guidebook, which was appreciated. We would recommend this home for couples or families.

From start to finish our stay was delightful. Our host, Charlie, was friendly, accessible and informative. The home was beautiful, clean, well equipped, nothing was left to the imagination. He and Kayla literally thought of everything. The kitchen was well equipped, and they provided so many little conveniences that no other place we’ve stayed at even thought of providing. The location of their home was quiet, peaceful and felt remote, but was very convenient to the little town of Meredith. My husband & I were initially unsure about the location being on the river rather than Lake Wakewan itself but the views were stunning. Unfortunately, due to a drought, the water levels were very low along the river/canal making it a challenge if you wanted to canoe or kayak. We were 4 adults visiting but if you brought children, the hosts provided lots of games and activities for the kids as well. We truly enjoyed our stay at Riverview Haven. Thank you Charlie & Kayla for sharing this beautiful home.

The views of the lake and river are spectacular, it was perfect for a relaxing vacation! The home is beautiful and was very clean. We are not familiar with the area, but Charlie and Kayla were so helpful preparing us for our trip with the family. Will definitely stay again, thank you!

Charlie and Kayla’s place was just what our family needed this summer! Not only were the views amazing with a short walk to the water for paddle boarding, but the inside was beautifully decorated, clean, and had everything our family needed to make packing easier. It was very obvious that a lot of thoughtfulness was put into every space of this beautiful home. Traveling with a baby is challenging, but Riverview Haven had everything we would ever need for a comfortable stay, including high chair, pack n play, dishes, baby gates, etc. Charlie was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions we had. Everything you would need is only about a 10 minute drive away (groceries, gym, doggie day care, restaurants, etc.). Our family will surely be back to visit next time we’re in New Hampshire! Book Charlie and Kayla’s place; you won’t regret it!

The best spot for a family getaway!

You can tell Charlie and kayla are both parents - they really did think of everything, even the small details to cater for a family getaway. Our kids loved the hidden bunk bed room behind the bookshelf door especially! All the games, books and toys kept them busy and we all loved the peaceful location by the river/lake. Highly recommend this to others.

Amazing place

1st of all this place has everything you forgot! They literally thought of everything. We were here in the fall and just the scenery alone was worth it.The hosts were incredible they are quick to respond and so helpful. Never in our travels have we encountered such kind professional hosts this makes everything easier when traveling! The house was clean and has it all, books, games, our family enjoyed this home. Should we ever return to New Hampshire this is where we will be staying!!

Christmas Vacation

This was our 1st Christmas from home, my mom passed last March and we decided to get away. We enjoyed this lovely house and went snow mobiling,snow tubing and enjoyed the shopping and restaurants. This is a vacation we will always treasure . The owners of this house are lovely people they truly want you to enjoy your stay. Charlie and Kayla really thought of everything you would need while on vacation. I highly recommend this for a vacation house. We've stayed at many other vacation houses over the years and this house was the nicest and best equipped house we ever stayed at, not to mention the best hosts also.

Modern updated tranquil

We wanted a to get away from the hussle of everyday work life - this home gave us just that! The host was great, responsive and resourceful. The home its self was fully equipped with everything, we had our 10 and 15 year old the space for Perfect, one took over the basement the other was happy in her own room. The view from the primary bedroom was gorgeous to look at. At night sitting other deck listening to nature and star gazing was Perfect. Not much of a yard space but just walking distance to a dock where a canoe is provided my husband caught great size bass. It’s a perfect getaway home I would absolutely recommend. Location is driving distance to the center shops and restaurants.

A perfect getaway!

Cannot say enough positive things about our stay - we are so glad we found this listing.We came up for some hiking, fishing and just to take a much needed break with our kids. From our first inquiry, we were well looked after and had so much local help and knowledge planning our visit from the hosts. You can really tell Charlie and kayla care about guests having a great experience. We fished from the private dock and canoes - the local shop in Meredith, Fish Tails, had everything we needed to get going including permits which was a simple process.The setting was incredibly peaceful, allowing us to truly disconnect and enjoy nature. It was also a fantastic place for families—the home is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for all ages (especially the kitchen for cooking meals for large groups). The kids loved the hidden bookcase and generally having the basement living room space to themselves while the adults were mostly in the second living room upstairs.If you’re looking for a serene getaway with gorgeous scenery, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Amazing!!

Our group came for a winter adventure and had an incredible time. We spent one day skiing and tubing with the kids at gunstock which is literally right down the road and another day at Loon. The house is really well situated Waterville Valley and Tenney are also nearby too. The ski mudroom at the house was beyond impressive truly unlike anything we’ve seen before. It was just one of the many thoughtful features that made this property stand out. We were so glad we found it!We also tried ice fishing during our stay, which was a unique and memorable experience. There’s a great level of bait and tackle shop in Meredith called fishtails. The staff there was incredibly knowledgeable and got it set up with everything we needed. To top it off, like walk along as can be located right at the end of the driveway!Our host clearly put so much care into making sure our family had a memorable stay. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness really showing through. We can’t wait to come back on highly recommend this place to anyone!

Perfect Getaway!

I had such a great time during my stay! I went with my friends and my dog, it can be so hard to find a pet friendly place to bring your dog to stay so that was a big bonus for me! Charles and Kayla were responsive and easy to reach. They provide great instructions for accessing the home and check in/out were a breeze! The location of this home is perfect, it’s just secluded enough but also so close to many great places to visit and lots of restaurants. You could take a trip to the ski mountains in the winter or enjoy many of the lakes all year round. I don’t have any children but there were so many unique accents built into this house that would be so great for kids - I would highly recommend for a family vacation house! You can tell there was a lot of thought and love put into the way this home was designed. Charles and Kayla truly thought of everything you might need for your stay and the home was incredibly clean and well taken care of. I’ll be back for sure!

Home away from home…but better

The best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Hosts communicated politely, quickly, and informatively. The house itself was straight out of a designer magazine. Every room we walked into got a big WOW!! The 3 levels made it easy to spread out and not be underfoot. Our party was 8 members from 12-75 years old and it fit us with plenty of room to spare! The kids/teens had the best time in their own space downstairs. Throughout the whole house were little extras that you wouldn’t even get at a 5 star resort such as chargers next to each bed, bowls of candy and popcorn, smoothie blender, drink mixers, ground coffee, and medical essentials that were so appreciated after a day out on the beautiful lake. No expense was spared on this brand new home. All you need to bring are your clothes and everything else is right at your fingertips. We can’t wait to come back again because it made vacationing so easy!!

Myself, my husband and another couple stayed as we had a wedding to attend that weekend and luckily found this location. The place was Gorgeous and the hosts go above and beyond to make your stay great. When we arrived the music was set to what we like to listen to as host had Inquired about this prior. The listing matches the home. The amenities were included along with extra of things we may have missed. The host was always available to assist with any questions. Everything was labeled in the kitchen which helped a lot for convenience. The lighting outside In the walkway was automatic which was perfect for late night returns. Check in and check out was Super easy and convenient as well. It’s clear the hosts know how to treat there guests. Not to mention they think of everything from having umbrellas available or if needed bug spray dog bags etc as well as to use to a playroom downstairs of games. This definitely had fancy hotel vibes in a beautiful rustic homey way. I have been to many others places and this was above and beyond our expectations. Thanks for a wonderful stay and hoping to come back again!

Just imagine…felt like home.

Just imagine that you just got into town to visit friends. You have never been to this town before but they have a place for you to stay. They have taken care of everything you need at said place. All you have to do is just be there. You arrive to find the most peaceful, tucked stay in plain sight, house. One that you can tell has been updated with love and attention to detail. Those little touches immediately make you feel at home. That is exactly how our family felt at this amazing place! We are a family of 6 from Alabama. We took our kids here for their fall break. It was such a perfect spot! The house was centrally located between everything we wanted to do in New Hampshire. It had plenty of room for all of us too! Anything you might be in need of, it was there on day one! And the host and hostess, your friends in this scenario…yeah, they have written down their favorite places to eat for every meal, their tried and true area attractions… any helpful information you could possibly need is right there. If for some reason you can’t find something you need…your friends are on call to help. That is exactly what this stay felt like. It was truly a magical get away in one of the most GORGEOUS parts of our country!! We can’t wait to go again! I HIGHLY recommend staying here and having Charlie and his wife be your friends there. 😊

A Perfect Getaway

Our stay here in Aug 2024 was truly a perfect getaway! The house is beautiful. I spent so much time just gazing out the windows at the lake. Great bird watching! So many thoughtful touches to make the house the feel more cozy, from the baskets of blankets to the convenient charging ports. Charles and Kayla were wonderful to work with. We were in touch from booking all the way through checkout, and even a few days later to see if we had any suggestions. (We did suggest a couple of little things, like adjustable kayak paddles, and Charles ordered them that very day! Very responsive!) They really care about giving you the best possible experience during your stay. Feel free to tell them a little about your trip in advance. They might just be able to fine tune a few things to make your stay even more special. (Having my dad's favorite music playing when we arrived was such a classy touch!) The location is far enough "off the beaten path" that it feels like you can really leave your cares behind. But thankfully, it's still just a short drive into town. There were plenty of restaurants for when we wanted to dine out and everything we needed at the Hannaford for when we wanted to dine in. Taking the kayaks and canoes out on the lake was definitely one of the highlights for my family! But so was spending quality time in the house. Whether it was sharing a meal, playing games, watching a movie, or reading a book, we felt very much at home. We highly recommend this place!
