Fabulous 5 BR Vacation Home on the Taylor River

Three Rivers Resort is ideally situated in the heart of Almont, CO, just 20 minutes south of Crested Butte and 10 minutes north of Gunnison.
ā€œGolden Stoneā€ (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
This new, gorgeous, riverfront home is ideal for large groups and families or multiple families to share. The first floor has a master bedroom and full bath, laundry, large living room, half bath and kitchen. The master bedroom/bath will be handicap accessible. From the kitchen, a sliding door opens onto a deck overlooking the Taylor River. There is a natural gas grill and private hot tub outside. Upstairs, 4 additional bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms offer plenty of space for everyone.

ā€¢ Upstairs, two bedrooms each have a queen and twin bed with full bathroom, tub/shower

ā€¢ Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, trash bags, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hairdryer
ā€¢ Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent
ā€¢ Plenty of parking here for 2+ vehicles and toy trailers
ā€¢ All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
**For VRBO guests, please refer to your reservation confirmation sent to your email after booking for check-in and unit details. We operate like a hotel with a front desk.**
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional $20/night/dog, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 10 people. There is an additional fee of $10/person/night for extra persons (ages 7 and over). Maximum occupancy is 12. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May ā€“ September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time. For exact rates, enter your trip dates in the availability search.

Excellent Holiday Retreat!

The cabin we stayed in had all the usual amenities. The cabin was clean and organized. Owners of resort were extremely friendly, invited our family to join in a curling event on their frozen pond.

We have stayed here twice with a group of 8 adults and 8 kids. Itā€™s perfect! Clean, roomy, all the kitchen equipment we need, and care shuttle to Crested Butte.

Great Canin!

Perfect place for a group trip! Our friends love this place so much that we came back a 2nd year in a row for our annual ski trip. Halfway between Crested Butte and Gunnison, itā€™s a perfect location. Plenty of space for all, and the kitchen is a great size for group meals. Highly recommend!

Reviewer Comments: Great kitchen, fully equipped; lots of space; many rooms have their own bathroom; very clean, especially for a mountain cabin; beautiful location but half looks at the river and half faces dirt parking lot; river can't be seen well from the house or deck when the willow bushes are fully leafed out (at least from main level) but you can hear and smell the lovely Taylor river. You can see it if you walk down to it. Living room is spacious but a little bland (it is a cabin after all). Beds are comfy, pillows are a bit flat. Hot tub was great. Overall we all had a very good stay, just a few things to be aware of. I'm sure things vary from season to season.

Perfect getaway

We stayed here with a group of friends and several of our kiddos. This was the perfect group home-clean, 5 bedrooms, a private hot tub, and very communicative management. We were able to cook all of our meals and relax in this quiet space. The drive to Crested Butte was easy for skiing, we will absolutely stay here again!

Family getaway

It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Secluded but close to whatever you need or want. Great space to share with a big group while having some space to yourself as well. Highly recommend on all levels.

Perfect Space for large group

We ended up booking this last minute for a large group and it was perfect! Beds were comfy, kitchen was very well equipped to be able to cook for that many people, and we enjoyed the hot tub right outside our door! They were having some water well issues and we lost water pressure, but they had it back up and running before too long and communicated with us well. It was the perfect location for skiing in Crested Butte and shopping in Gunnison. Would definitely book again!

Three Rivers Resort

We had a wonderful stay at Three Rivers Resort in Almont. There were 7 adults and we had plenty of space. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and having 4 1/2 bathrooms was great. The house sits on the river with a beautiful deck where we spent lots of time sitting in the sun. The hot tub was being repaired when we arrived but the front desk kindly offered the use of another cabin's hot tub, which was great, and within 24 hours, our hot tub was fixed and ready for us. We popped over to the front desk/small convenience store several times to pick up things we forgot and everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. Some of our group was skiing in Crested Butte which was a very pretty 25 minute drive from the resort. This was one of the cleanest, well-cared for rentals that we've stayed in and I hope we'll get back there sometime soon.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 12 (ranging from grandparents to two babies under one) stayed three nights. We had previously stayed in smaller cabins there so knew the area and property. We had just come from staying in a similar sized property in Telluride, although the cabin amenities at the previous property were much more luxury oriented. My one suggestion would be to focus on upgrading some of the details in this cabin to give it a more inviting appeal. Some of the pillows on the beds were well beyond needing to be replaced and we had to go to the front desk to ask for decent pillows where the lady made a rather big deal about notating that we now had two extra pillows ā€œto make sure that housekeeping knowsā€. I assured her we would not be stealing pillows 🤪. Although the resort is a casual type resort, I would have loved being able to upgrade the feel of this cabin just slightly to add to the experience. I also donā€™t think with this size cabin and the price that occupants should have to buy firewood for the fire pit. That is one other amenity that could be offered as a welcome gift for this pricier cabin. Again, the experience starts with the customer service at the front desk and some improvement could be made there. Overall, though, the cabin was a good fit for our family and we would return.
