You will be consumed by your ability to relax and enjoy Lake Nantahala. You will make it a must visit place on your calendar each year. Our home is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that offer views of the lake and mountain range that you won't soon forget; not to mention the three full length decks. You're only a few yards from being on the dock relaxing or in front of the fire pit making smores and sharing your fun filled day with others. There are kayaks and paddle boat for your lake enjoyment. Also, a foosball table, table games, movie library three deck levels of outdoor seating. Enjoy your coffee early each morning in the cool mountain air while gazing at 5,600 feet mountain peaks and day dreaming at the beauty.

The Lake Nantahala area has a lot of local activities. You are within 45 minutes to an hour of shopping, antiquing, crafts, white water rafting, U.S. Forest trails, horseback ridding, mineral and gem mines, golf, gambling in Cherokee, snow skiing, bluegrass concerts. Mountainside Theater, located in the heart of Cherokee Indian Country. The theater is famous for its production of “Unto These Hills”, which is a live re-enactment of the story behind the Cherokee Indian historic “Trail of Tears” journey. Or, hop aboard the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad for your choice of scenic family train rides or romantic gourmet dining. The Railroad also presents a Mystery Theater dinner on select Friday nights.

This house exceeded our expectations. Spacious and equipped with everything that you need. The quiet, peaceful location is perfect for relaxing and boating. We loved using the kayaks and canoe available by the dock. If you rent a boat from the marina, you can keep it overnight at the dock. Unlike some properties that have long staircases to get to the dock, this one is very close, just few steps from the lower deck. The views from the firepit were amazing, it helps when the full moon makes an entrance :). The owners were fantastic and very responsive.

Nice thanksgiving place

Lovely house with a great view. Lots of room to spread out. We really enjoyed the game room. Download all travel info ahead of time and go the grocery store before arriving.

We had a wonderful family vacation as this house had everything you could want. Very clean and lots of great amenities. I was hesitant to try to drive the car down the driveway but we had a 4-wheel drive which had no difficulty. Probably could have made it but didn’t need to take the chance. The house was great for the 9 of us as everyone had their own space and all had a great time. Fishing, swimming, s’mores over the campfire and lots of relaxing on the deck with great views. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Lake house retreat

The house was exactly as advertised! Beautiful views, clean, well stocked, and spacious! The lake was clean and not overcrowded. We enjoyed using the kayaks and the canoe to explore the lake. We would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing lake getaway!!

Beautiful view

Our return to Lake Nantahala was wonderful. This property is beautifully decorated with all you need to have a fun vacation. Well stocked for cooking, plenty of bedding & towels as well as canoe and kayaks. The owner was very accessible to answer questions. Would highly recommend this property.

Great place to stay. House was beautiful

Dwight was the perfect host. House was perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms and our family enjoyed the game room on rainy afternoons. The view of the lake was spectacular. Couldn’t ask for a better vacation. Looking forward to returning

Hutchison family visit

We really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful cabin. Beautiful views. Enjoyed the kayaks and canoe even though it was a little chilly. It rained most of our visit, but there is plenty to do at the cabin even though the internet didn't work. Hopefully we'll be back to visit again soon.

Comfortable home

We were very pleased with this place. Very roomy and had everything we needed. We quickly selected our rooms and moved in for a great stay. Enjoyed the fire places on the cool evenings andmornings. We fished and caught trout. We just had a great time! Our 11 yr old Grandson especially enjoyed the ping pong, air hockey, basketball and foosball. He was never bored. Will certainly stay here again if opportunity arises. Thanks for sharing your home. Its clear you enjoy it too!! mirnings.

Stunning lake front cabin!!

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this rental home on Lake Nantahala! The views were truly breathtaking, and waking up to the serene lake every morning was a dream come true. The amenities were top-notch, including a game room, making the entire experience even more enjoyable with kids. The private boat dock was a fantastic addition, allowing us to explore the lake at our leisure. I can't recommend this place enough - five stars all the way!

I would highly recommend staying here! The view alone is incredible "from every bedroom" The home is in a cove easy access and a short walk to their boat dock! Your their in the mountain so easy to get to activity center>> But this home has all the wet sport toys. The inside of their home is super cozy and roomy! Beautiful lakeside mountain retreat

This property was beautiful. We had so much to do while at the house. The kids truly enjoyed the gameroom and hanging out on the dock. It’s tucked up in the mountains away from everything. Everything you need is there and easily accessible. The rooms are great and the beds were very comfy. Dwight answered our questions and provided useful information in advance. I would definitely recommend this lakeside retreat. Thanks for having us we will be back.

Just wish the driveway wasn’t so steep and hard to get in and out of. Wasn’t there long enough to call about the fireplace usage in living room that would’ve been nice to use. Otherwise it was decent for our extreme short trip. Thanks

Great property, terrific owner

We had a great time. One of the things the family needed was some off grid family fun. This property did not disappoint. The owner provided great communication. The house is beautiful and well equipped. The additional games in the garage was great for the two grand children to occupy their time when it rained. We had no problems finding the property with the instructions provided, and had no problems with the driveway. The property met or exceeded all expectations.

Quiet, comfy haven in scenic surroundings

The pictures of the property do it little justice! "Hooked by the View" was spacious, comfy, modern and well-equipped; a perfect family getaway for 4 adults and 5 kids. The view is spectacular and the peace and quiet invaluable. The home was clean, super comfy and cozy. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and fire pit. We felt right at home! We just loved canoeing everyday on the beautiful, pristine lake and only wished we could come back in the warmth of the summer. We feel so lucky to have spent quality family time in such a warm and welcoming home. Thank you!

Beautiful house with gorgeous views and all the amenities of home

We stayed (2 families) for a wonderful weekend in December. Talk about a gorgeous home and setting! Everything is kept very clean and up-to-date. The living/kitchen area is very spacious and open for groups to hang out, and the massive decks overlooking the lake are filled with rockers and tables to take in the breathtaking views. The beds are very comfortable. While we were there, the weather was unseasonably warm so we were able to utilize the canoe (they also have kayaks, and supply plenty of life jackets) to take the kids for rides around the lake. We got in later on Friday evening, so the drive to the cabin was a little tenuous in the dark, but upon arrival all of your tensions melt away. Dwight is very attentive and easy to work with -- you can tell he loves his home. The best GPS app to find the home is "Waze," which helped us a lot! My only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay.

Many years of searching by my wife and children resulted in discovering Nantahala Lake and our dream home. After the first visit, it was clear that Nantahala Lake was the place. We looked at many beautiful homes but this one had everything we had dreamed of. We're sure you'll feel the same.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

You will enjoy easy access to our house. You will experience a view that is second to none. Our dock is only a few yards from the house . The fact we're so close to the water is a real advantage. You don't have to deal with steep uneven hills. Our lower level outdoor grill, refrigerator, eating area and fire pit are just a few feet from the lake. We have kayaks, a canoe and floats to enjoy the water. If you'd like to water ski or explore water falls, the marina is close and you can rent the boat of your choice.
