Zen out at Zen Mountain! This spacious and stunning mountain home is nestled in the gorgeous smoky mountains, located conveniently to Cherokee, Bryson City, and Sylva! With five bedrooms and three bathrooms, this is the perfect place for up to twelve guests to enjoy a memorable mountain vacation.

With large windows, tasteful decor, and an open-concept space, you will feel right at home the moment you enter Zen Mountain. The spacious living area offers a beautiful stone-accented fireplace, a brand-new flat-screen TV, and access to the rear porch. The kitchen will impress all the cooks, as it's fully stocked with everything you need to whip up your favorite meal, which can be enjoyed around the large, family-style dining table. On the main level, you will find the master bedroom with a comfortable, king-size bed and adjoining, luxurious bath. Find two additional queen bedrooms on this level with a shared bathroom. Upstairs features a large, private bedroom with two twin beds and a queen futon -- the kids will love having their own space! Head downstairs where you'll find a second living area and game room. Offering a pool table, foosball table, card table, and plenty of games for everyone to create memories! Also located downstairs is a fifth bedroom with a queen size bed and a nearby full bathroom.

We know you came to the mountains to enjoy the great outdoors! Zen Mountain features a large deck with plenty of outdoor seating. There's even a flat yard for the kids to run and play in -- a true rarity in the mountains! Roast S'mores around the fire pit and tell campfire stories with your friends. Overall, nice accommodations. Property showed signs of needed maintenance. Neighbor across the street is a bit extreme. One of the guests pulled into their driveway to allow entrance to the rental drive and we were threatened with legal action if their driveway was pulled into again.

Going to the chapel...

Great location for our daughter's wedding event at The Parker Mill in the next cove over from this house. House was very clean and well equipped for our large group of 10 adults. Check in/out was easy and communication from the property management was first class. Neighbors are close but everyone was very friendly.

Everything was great with only a few issues. Broil setting in oven does not work. Needed that for a meal we were preparing. Pool table is poor. Ok for children but we had 5 adults who enjoy playing pool and table condition is poor. Weak boards on back deck near master bedroom. Everything else was very good.

Enjoyed Stay.

The home was nice and just the right size for our group of 10! It does need some repairs to downstairs shower and the deck. There were a few minor things we worked around such as lack of frying pans but we understand when you rent a home not everything is perfect. We did enjoy our stay at this home and it was a great location, close to Bryson and Cherokee!

Your service to our concerns was quick and responsive. The home is nice, but needs repairs and maintenance. Issues with back porch take away from some of its beauty. Downstairs bed and bath definitely need updating and upstairs bathroom has a leaky tub faucet.

Beautiful location

Loved the location and the home! Also being so close to Cherokee. Do not rent if you want to play pool. They have outdated sticks and the table is not level. Other than that the place was huge and area was great.

Zen Mountain Review

We weren't able to play pool the first day we were there because none of the sticks had a tip on them. I was looking forward to cooking breakfast for all my friends Saturday morning, but I couldn't do that because all the pans were scratched so badly I thought some of the pan might flake off into our food. I am frustrated that I chose this place for my bachelor party and I was restricted on what we were able to do. We did receive some new pool sticks and pots/pans, but we never got to use the pots and pans because we had plans and a time crunch, so I relied on there being good enough pans to cook with Saturday morning.

Great Location, the house was clean and well kept. We had a party of 10, celebrating my grandmother's 88th birthday. I would have given ā€œ5ā€ stars but the towels underneath the bathroom sink was damp/wet. Thank goodness for the washer and dryer, I was able to re-wash and dry them before using.

Great Family Vacation Spot

We stayed in late June with our four kids (ages 12-19) and two sets of grandparents. The house was very clean and spacious and we enjoyed amenities like the grill, the fire pit and the pool table. A ramp from the garage to the house provided nice accessibility for one of our party with mobility challenges. The kitchen had everything we needed and the view from the back deck was gorgeous! We also loved the location: 15 minutes to Cherokee/Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 20 minutes to Bryson City or Dillsboro for some fun shopping, and 1 hour to Asheville. The Cherokee Food Lion had all the groceries we needed. I highly recommend visiting the Oconaluftee Indian Village if you stay here - it was a highlight of the trip. We also loved the old growth trees at the Joyce Kilmer memorial forest - definitely worth the 1 hour and 20 minute drive! The street leading to the house is a very narrow gravel road that has some pretty rough spots. We were able to get through, but our vehicles (minivans and a RAV4) bottomed out pretty much every time. This is not the property ownerā€™s fault, just something to consider. I was also asked to sign an additional rental contract - there werenā€™t any problems with it, I just hadnā€™t been aware of that from the property description. All in all, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it for any large group!
