“Shohola “ is a word from Lenni Lanape tribe of Native Americans means “ place of peace “ and it means different things to different people. For one, it is a solitude and sounds of nature . For another, quality time with friends and family. Whatever you are missing and looking for you can find it here, at Shohola Cottage.
Cuddle up with a blanket and hot drink , watching the fire place. Choose one of many trails for hiking through the woods to mountain tops and waterfalls. Go skiing or experience archery. Visit nearby farms and unique antique shops. Try local restaurants or pick a bottle of wine for the evening barbecue.
Our spacious wrap around Porch Itself is worth of a trip! Beautiful views of the forest inviting for long conversations. Or perhaps relaxing yoga practices.
We can arrange a private yoga teacher, or you can stream a class of your choice.
Also you can book a session with professional massage therapist who will come to the house.
Guest access
House is Your Home while you stay there. Please respect the space and it will share its happiness with you :-)
Other things to note
Please feel free to bring fire wood for the fire place or a Fire pit ( plenty of wood for a pit is in forest you are In :-) as well )
Our suggestion is Duraflame / EnviroLog logs. Very easy to use , each log will produce fire for many hours . No need to chop ( as any regular wood logs ). Super easy to start . And as regular fire wood , eco logs You can pick up in any grocery store , gas station Whole Foods market , even Target .

We allow up to 2 pups to the property with advance notice and flat $50 pet fee
