Relaxing Beach & Pool Vacation

The vacation rental was very clean.

We had such a great time during our stay on AMI. The property was a little closer to the beach than we had expected and although it is one of the older properties in the neighborhood, the location was just right for our plans to relax and head to the beach or relax by the pool. Admittedly, I was excited that no one had booked the other side of the duplex up until 2 days before our trip, however, the people that booked next door were lovely and so kind to our family during the few short times we saw them near the pool or coming/going from the home. We liked the comfort of the sectional in the living room, as opposed to some rentals we had viewed with chairs that didn't appear to look comfortable from pictures. It was a perfect size for our family of 4 and had plenty of seating between the kitchen, dining room area, and front porch. A recommendation to anyone who enjoys having coffee in the morning on the front porch that it may be helpful to bring the cushions in at night as we had thunderstorms each night so the cushions were soaked by morning, which we figured out after the first few days. We did not cook full meals but the kitchen seemed to have a lot of what you would need, if you did. Although the AC worked and kept the house at a comfortable temperature most of the time, it was very warm the first night in the master bedroom. It was in the 90's most of the week (FL in June), so to be expected that it may be hard for the unit to keep up with it but we would have preferred it to be a little cooler. The pool was one of the better/larger pools on the island that we had found and the backyard had plenty of space. There were warm breezes most of the trip so the bugs were not bad except for maybe 1-2 days during our entire trip when it was less breezy. All in all it was a great trip and we are looking forward to making it back to AMI next year. Thank you!
