Nestled in the heart of Gulfport, The Sand Dollar is a bright and peaceful bungalow offering a relaxing retreat. Ideally located between Gulfport and downtown St. Petersburg, you'll enjoy the best of both worlds—peaceful surroundings with easy access to local attractions.

The spacious and inviting interior is complemented by beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces, perfect for lounging or dining al fresco. The fully fenced yard and courtyard provide added privacy and comfort.

Easy Access & Parking:
The bungalow is conveniently accessed from the alley between the avenues. On-site parking is available for one vehicle, or two small/compact cars.

Whether you’re here to relax or explore, you’ll be just moments away from the vibrant culture and attractions of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Please note, Florida summers can be hot and come with occasional mosquitoes and other bugs. We recommend taking appropriate precautions to stay comfortable during your stay.

Please be respectful and clean up after pets. Pets are not permitted on furniture (beds, sofas, etc.). A $150 fee will be charged for any pet-related damages, including urine, feces, excessive hair, or dander on surfaces/bedding.

Property Integrity: Please do not alter or remove any items in the home. Unauthorized changes may result in additional fees.

Check-In/Check-Out: Early arrivals or late departures may incur an extra charge. Please confirm any time adjustments with the host in advance.
Check In: After 4pm
Check Out: Promptly at 11:00am

AC Usage: Please do not set the air conditioning to cold when it’s cold outside or to heat when it’s hot. Improper use can strain the system. Any damage or costs incurred due to non-compliance with this guideline will be your responsibility.

We do have heat in the home via space heaters, there are three and are more than adequate to heat the space. Wish you had asked! Safe travels.

We had a four night stay in this charming little bungalow in Gulfport. I must say, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Great value for money. The bungalow had everything we needed, very cozy and in a quiet neighborhood. All appliances were in good working order. The bedroom air conditioning unit kept cutting out one evening, but Valerie and Joseph responded immediately to our message and resolved the issue promptly. The little patio was a great breakfast spot in the mornings where we could enjoy a cup of coffee and just kick back and relax.Gulfport residents are so friendly, helpfull and kind!!A BIG thank you to Joseph and Valerie for being excellent hosts!

I loved this property! It was cute and pet friendly with a nice area outside to relax and your pet to run around. The area is very cute too with lots of restaurants, bars and the pier/ beach area in walking distance.With 2 window unit a/c units I'm not sure it could handle full summer but it was great in April. My only complaint is that the bath towels were child size, and I'm not a large person. Also, nowhere to hang a hand towel in the bathroom, the one provided was hard to find as there were three towel sets with only one containing a hand towel. I know this sounds nit picky but everything else was great and very clean. Also, as the floor is white I would have been happy to mop some areas of footprints but there wasnt one there.I would definitely visit again though

We had to park in the alley with questionable surroundings. Also, no vent in the bathroom. Pictures were not all accurate.

Hi Lynn, Thank you for your feedback. I do want to clarify a few points, as the listing details are accurate and clearly outlined. All photos in the listing are current and representative of the property, I personally took them and they have not been altered in a way that misrepresents the space- inside or outside. Regarding parking, access through the alley is explicitly stated in the listing description. While I understand this may not be your preference, it is disclosed upfront so guests can make an informed decision prior to booking. The property has dedicated parking in-front of the unit, a private courtyard and a private backyard. As for the bathroom, there is no exhaust fan; however, the bathroom does have a functioning window that opens for ventilation. This meets ventilation standards in Florida. In the future, I would recommend reviewing the full listing details prior to booking to ensure the property is a good fit for your preferences and expectations. Best, Valerie

Peaceful and Convenient!

We stayed for three nights and had a great time! The house was clean, it was tucked away off the road but they have clear insdirections for you and once you find it which didn’t take long at all itprivate, and in a great location — close to everything we needed but still nice and quiet. The fenced backyard was perfect for our dog, which made the trip even better. Would definitely stay here again!

The bungelow is close to Gulport, though it would be a long walk. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The patio area was great..nicely shaded! We would definately stay again.

The Beachcomber is fantastic!! The neighborhood is quiet, the property itself is beautiful, clean, well kept, smells great, the yard is awesome for my 2 little fur babies. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay! The washing macgine and dryer was a huge plus, not to mention the most quiet a/c units around. Highly recommend. If i could give a 100 stars I would. Oh, and the host was fantastic with communication. Any question i had they answered within minutes!! Cannot wait to stay again!! Thank you!! 100/100 A

Very Cute Bungalow

We had a great experience staying at the Sand Dollar. Great getaway for you and your spouse/partner. Loved the outside deck. The property is on the other side of Gulfport Blvd. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Beach Blvd. The hosts were very communicative. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderfully thought out place in Gulfport!

Lovely Town & House!

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is perfectly in the middle of downtown St. Pete and the beach! The only downside was the WiFi did not work, which we managed since we were rarely there. Other than that, it was a great stay!

Beautiful home in a great location

My husband and I were traveling across FL with our springer spaniel. The Sand Dollar Cottage was a perfect base for us to explore St Petersburg but also enjoy the friendly community of Gulfport. Besides the great location, the house itself is great - well maintained, has all the necessities, and cute (love all the decorations!). The owners were very responsive snd helpful with the directions. Very pleasant stay overall, thank you!

The Sand Dollar Bungalow

The hosts was very responsive and accommodating to our needs and requests. The house is in the older part of the community and needs some work, but I know they have plans to make some further updates. Great area! We were able to ride our bikes to downtown Gulfport which is on the bay and has cute shops and lots of great places to eat. Just a short drive to St Pete beach.
