A Stay in Paradise

This is a 5 star property. The room was nice and spacious. It was decorated with precision. We had chocolates waiting for us and plenty of amenities for the beach. The location is perfect with a famous restaurant on the premises called Dukes. I loved it so that i want to invest in property at this location. I like its design and layout. I will definitely be back. Thanks Vrbo.

Very nice.

We loved the unit and the great snorkeling out front. We could never find a lounge chair at the pools. People do safe them even though not using them. Our second time here and we do recommend it to others.

Relaxing

We are returning Honua Kai vacationers (previously visited with our family). Such a beautiful place we cannot imagine staying anywhere else. The property management was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for everything. We will return again soon.

Honua Kai is a great resort.

Honua Kai is a great resort. The units have beautiful accordion windows that open up wide which is nice and decent size patios. There could have been a little bit more attention to detail with the number of supplies (like towels), but more were dropped off very fast when asked. It is a very nice resort.

Beautiful and comfortable

Great Value in Paradise

We absolutely loved staying at Honua Kai. KBM were wonderful property managers and attempted to look after our every request. But this unit is aging and some things couldn’t be fixed despite their efforts. Namely 3 of the lights were out despite KBM’s attempt to fix it. Also the bathtub doesn’t give hot water even though the shower worked perfectly. However the rate was less than other similar units listed on VRBO and given that Maui is so expensive I’d happily rent it again. It’s still a beautiful condo with a roomy bathroom, partial ocean view and incredibly nice staff in the KBM office. When I requested a new beach chair she found me one and had it delivered the following day. And I really appreciate friendly and accommodating service!

Summer getaway

Loved the pools. Perfect for children. Condo was very nice but missing a few kitchen utensils. We reccomend.

Fabulous

We were so happy with our stay. All the comforts of home while feeling on vacation. Everything was perfect down to the boogie boards. We highly recommend it and will come back for sure.

Property is reasonably new, comfortable and had all the amenities needed

Loved the s/s appliances Bosch, the well equipped kitchen, beach toys, coolers, etc and l’Occitane toiletries. Also enjoyed the car included with price. However, didn’t like the lack of response with trying to extend rental. Maria didn’t book the car extension so 3 weeks later after initial request the price for extending went up significantly. Ended up booking my own thru Costco. Too bad. Also didn’t like that phone was not set up properly in unit and bulbs were burnt out in bathroom and floor lamp. There was a terrible odour from washing machine as someone had closed the door before we checked in. Didn’t like drab decor in unit. Hawai’i is about beauty and colour. These things all should have been checked PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL. Not good for guests when there is no onsite management team. Everything goes thru the bell desk at front. We didn’t like the problems listed above, hence the 4 stars rather than 5.

Amazing

Fantastic! I will definitely use KBM again, flawless, no hassle. Car rental was a dream, in and out less than five minutes. Condo was just as promised, beautiful! Highly recommend.

Comfortable 1 bedroom at Honua Kai

This unit was comfortable, clean and well stocked. Two family members stayed there and enjoyed every moment of their 8 day stay.

Nice Stay!

The unit was clean, the view was very good. We stayed at Honua Kai six years ago, and we were expecting the same as we had the first visit. The property has seen some wear and tear on it with it being rental property. The grounds are still well groomed and beautiful. The unit was very clean and moderately stocked. Management team was excellent with reservations, check-in, and overall handling of our rental. The free car rental was very nice. The one thing lacking here is the linen desperately need to be replaced. The carpet is also on the verge of needing replacing, there were a few areas in the bedroom that were raveled out and bare. Pillows were horrible as well as the sheets being very worn. Also, there are limited towels, so you will be washing frequently. In retrospect, we should have stopped and bought cheap pillows somewhere and just left them when we checked out. Replacing carpet and linen can easily rectify bringing this unit from an four to a five star status. We would definitely recommend staying here, just a couple things need to be addressed.

Great Place

Excellent accommodations, everything was as advertised, great for children and all families; really a first class place. Our flight was over 3 hrs late so we never checked in until 130 am. It wasn't a problem the manager met us and checked us in without delay. Essentially all was perfect!

Very Enjoyable vacation

We just returned today after spending two weeks at this condo. It was very comfortable and good location. The resort is very kid friendly and the pools are absolutely great!!! The only con would be the vents and fan had not been dusted in quite sometime and so I left a note for the cleaning staff. Other than that, Josh and John were great to work with and very accomodating!! Would return.

Paradise

Would absolutely recommend this resort/room to anyone. The description was accurate, close to super market and the quaint town of Lahaina with many wonderful restaurants. The pools were awesome, not busy, the beach was right out front. The beach to walk was amazing. Dukes was a great place to eat. Nice to be able to cook if you wanted to. Did I mention we seen whales every day right on the beach:) The store was pricey downstairs-however great homegrown food with great tastes! Owner was prompt to bring blankets-otherwise problem free-enjoy the beauty of Maui through this property you won't be disappointed!

Honua Kai

We managed to get a last minute condo here (the westin villas was fully booked) and we were traveling with our 1 yr. old for the first time. The condo was very modern, it had kids stuff (buckets for shoveling sand, a pack&play that looked almost new, body boards, toys, etc.) amenities of a full kitchen and a great view. the owner/renting agency was responsive and extremely reasonable with making it work time wise and pricing wise... we just make this our yearly getaway instead of the westin! Great place would definitely recommend to family and friends over and over again.

Wonderful stay at Honua Kai

I was in Maui in June for my son's wedding and stayed at Honua Kai. The condo was wonderful -- completely as described in VRBO. Very spacious, clean and well-appointed. There was an ocean view only if you step onto the lanai, but that wasn't an issue for me.
