Cliffs of South Kona ‘The Cove at Milolii'

Our two-story oceanfront home has views from every room and tropical breeze flowing from roof top cupola through every window and door. The main living area is upstairs with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, including two master suites one with a queen bed and one with a king. The third bedroom has a king bed and the fourth three twin beds. There is a large open kitchen, living and dinning area with an open deck area for dinning and lounging. The downstairs has an outside living and dinning area poolside with a Weber charcoal barbecue. There is also a 16x16 poolside room with an adjacent bathroom, that is a relaxing place to read or rest. The house sits on the cliffs overlooking the ocean and affords beautiful views of the humpback whale migration in the winter, occasional Hawaiian monk seals and year round dolphins and turtles. The infinity edge pool and spa bring the Pacific Ocean right into our yard.

Hawaii has a good neighbor policy and requires all vacation rentals to post.
1) Quiet hour shall be from 9pm to 8am, during which time the noise from the STVR (short term vacation rental) shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.
2) Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with the residential area.
3) Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated on site parking spaces.
4) The STVR shall not be used for commercial purposes.

Our rates are dependent on the season and number of guests. As such, rates shown in the original VRBO booking request may not be an accurate quote prior to booking. No matter the number of guests or dates you will have exclusive use of the property. Canadian guests will receive a 30% discount.
RATES SHOWN ARE FOR 4 GUESTS. Additional guests are $20/day and taxes are added per state of Hawaii law. TAT 13.25% and GE 4.712%
DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR STAYS OF LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS.

Owner will provide a complete Rental Agreement for Renter to execute and return prior to the rental going into effect. Failure to return the completed rental agreement will be grounds to cancel the reservation.

Our stay at Milolii was perfectly wonderful. Exactly as advertised, relaxed comfort and amazing view. The home was well stocked and equipped with everything needed. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and looking over the cove to the gorgeous Pacific. Most of our days were spent site seeing but having Milolii to return each evening made each day that much more special. Thank you for a glorious time on the Big Island. Hope to return some day!

Fantastic stay! If you are seeking a home away from home experience, then this is the place. From the peaceful tranquility, the view (oh the sunsets), the dolphins and turtles, the pool and hot tub, the kitchen, the games, the comfortable beds. Everything was just as expected. Great for an adult get away. Fantastic location! Only adjustment was no air conditioning, but the steady breezes helped so much. Hosts were very helpful and easy to work with and were very understanding with the late flight going out on our last day. House was clean and so was the pool and hot tub. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the Big Island:)

I usually stay at Mauna Kea or Four Seasons and have rented homes all over the world. This home is the best I’ve been in. The location is breathtaking every minute of the day. There’s very little it doesn’t have besides fresh food and people who cook will find just about anything you’d need to make a great meal for many. I can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay at the Cove! The pool and hot tub were amazing. The drive to and from the house is an experience of its own. Just plan on lots of driving if you stay here. About an hour to just about anything.

Peaceful and beautiful.

If you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. This is a beautiful property with great amenities. Being further south was really great for visiting all of the locations that are too far from Kona proper. Volcanoes National Park, Pualu’u black sand beach, South Point and Kula Kai Caverns are all fairly close. The road down to the house is quite twisty, but beautiful. Melanie and Craig were fantastic hosts. Highly recommend!

Amazing ocean front home!

Me and my family had a wonderful stay. Home is well equipped for any occasion. Communication with the host was great. House was exactly as pictured, clean, with comfortable beds. We truly loved our experience here and can’t wait to come back!

Great Hawaiian vaca

The pictures do not do this place justice. We had plenty of room and loved the breezes that blowed through the home. They provided everything we could have possibly needed. Thank you and we hope to come back here. I would live here if possible, we loved it that much. Just a heads up to everyone the pool water was cold, its heated only by the sun and for me my body can't handle that but my kid played in it some.

More beautiful than the pictures

We arrived at the home after wonderful communication with the hosts. What an amazing place and stocked with everything we could possibly want. Kitchen had spices and dishes for all our cooking needs. The outside pool area was full of games and family activities. Ping pong, ladder ball, bowling,. Large library of books and the TV had multiple streaming options. This vacation home had something for everyone. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Cove at Milolli'

Our stay was excellent. Perfect view of the sunsets with the sounds of the ocean splashing against the rocks. Nice breezes when the windows and doors are open, just make sure the ceiling fans are going the right direction, easy to hit the wrong button on the remote in the dark. The hosts responded quickly to any questions we had and we appreciated that they were able to accommodate a late checkout for us. Be sure to check out all of the storage boxes and shed, you'll find pretty much everything you need for a day at the beach. The kids loved the saltwater pool

Another Fantastic Vacation

This was our second time staying at this house and it felt like coming home. The entire house is well stocked, comfortable and welcoming. Be sure to stock up on groceries before you drive down and enjoy your own private paradise you'll never want to leave.

The view was breathtaking and the hosts were highly responsive. There were five of us in our party and everyone had their own space. The views from the porch and downstairs outdoor area were incredible and the hosts had everything we needed their and ready.

Great View and Stay

Great view! Staying right on the lava rock coast was great. The waves were peaceful. The 2 spots at the end of the roads were great to walk to for snorkeling at one and sight seeing at the other. The personal pool and spa tub was wonderful! Craig was helpful to us with a wifi issue and tips on what to do. We did have some roaches and millipedes so keep your stuff off the ground. No AC as the house is open concept (with screens) but the breeze was great to stay cool. The drive is very curvy from the main road to the house. Takes about 15 minutes. Worth the drive but important to know if leaving to explore each day. Would definitely recommend.

A piece of heaven!

If you are looking for a magnificent and quiet location, do not look any further, this is it! We absolutely loved everything about it. Stunning views above and under water. The house has everything you need and even more. Conveniently located between Kona and the National Park, and pretty close to a lot of great beaches and coves. Melanie and Craig were extremely welcoming, super responsive, and communicative about the kinda “remote” location of their property. We will be back!

We've lived in South Kona for almost 40 years and had the opportunity to purchase this property from a fishing friend after he moved to the mainland. The house was built in a slow process over 6 years with the help of a lot of great local talent. We completed the house in 2011 and spend many weekends sharing and enjoying our Milolii home.

We live on a farm in the subtropical ohia forest up mountain from Milolii and have spent many weekends and summer days swimming, fishing and enjoying the ocean at Milolii. We are very gratified to be able to have a home on the ocean where we can continue to enjoy so many of the activities and beauty the ocean has to offer.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Milolii is far from the crowds and noise of city life. We enjoy peaceful walks and the pleasure of time with family and friends. Waking up to the sunrise over the mountain with a cup of organic Kona coffee is a pleasure we look forward to whenever we can get away to Milolii.
