Turtles Nest

Simple, clean, and convenient. An older woman could retire here. I stayed with my youngest son (20) and his girlfriend. I’m 59 and that’s just what I’m planning on doing (God willing). I walked to the beach each morning, where I enjoyed complimentary chairs and umbrella service. That ocean never ceases to amaze! I enjoyed soaking in the sun and cooling off in the ocean and the pool at “Venus” which by the way is 8 foot deep. Worked on a puzzle in the evenings. Overall great experience.

Spring Break

There is major construction on the building, probably should not have rented out. They were banging and sawing and jack hammering all day. Workers got there at 7, o so not much sleeping in or any naps during the day. Had to turn the TV up really loud just to hear. Floor could have used a mopping, our feet were black from waking barefoot. Only 2 wash clothes, and we had to buy TP, only 1 1/2 rolls . Loved having the beach chairs, very short walk to the beach was great. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. Owners told me about the construction 3 days before our trip and said it was listed on the reservation, but I never saw it.

We have stayed here before so we thought we knew what to expect. There was a lot of construction going on and it started pretty early. We would not have stayed here if we would have known that, but we were not informed. The condo was nice, but we had a pretty good storm and the ceiling leaked all over the floor for a few hours. That wasn't great, but we got pots and pans to catch as much as we could and moved furniture to try to keep it dry. Maintenance was nice and they brought us some fresh towels, but it wasn't ideal. We have 2 little girls and between waking up early to drilling and pounding, and trying to manage the water, it was a pain. Over all it was fine, but If it would have been a hotel, I would have moved or asked for a refund. The lady working the grounds is great! We really enjoyed her and remember her from last time we were there. We come to the island every year, but we probably won't stay here again. We want to relax and even though it wasn't terrible, it wasn't what anyone wants to deal with when they spend good money on vacation.

Charming home HORRIBLE CONSTRUCTION NOISE

This home is lovely and clean. However DO NOT RENT until they are done with construction. There is a tiny disclaimer line that says “construction noise 8-4:30/5 min-Fri” which I admit I did not notice however even if I had I would never have expected Jackhammering all day on the unit balconies in the courtyard where rhe pool is located. We woke to rattling walls INSIDE the unit at 8 am more than once. The parking directly in front of this unit was a. staging area filled with dumpsters, trailers and men working no more than three feet from the windows and doors. We could not even open the blinds. The noise and blocking of the doors made sleeping and loading and unloading luggage and groceries miserable. I would've never booked had the extent of this been disclosed. when i contacted the management they simply said i got a discounted rate to reflect this situation. that was also not mentioned in any way. i paid the advertised rate. not a discounted rate. one day it rained and water started dripping from the ceiling on to my niece as she sat in a recliner inside watching TV. i can only assume thanks the construction. I drove from Michigan with 3 kids and we were there a whole week. thats 5 days of brain rattling jackhammering all day for 5 days and a raining ceiling. They said the "broad exerpt" in the listing warned us and they did nothing wrong. A lie of omission is still a lie. Even kids know that. This was so shady and so wrong. The worst trip ever. NO INTEGRITY
