Escape to the mountains and enjoy the serene, wooded views from our recently updated cabin, Sundown Mountain. With 2 king bedrooms w/ensuite bathrooms, a loft with a twin-over-queen bunk bed, and a new queen sleeper sofa in the living room, the cabin can accommodate up to 8 people. Relax and unwind in the hot tub on the private back deck, play foosball in the loft, or compete in a game of Uno or Sorry while taking in the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. End the day by rocking away in one of the outdoor rocking chairs while enjoying the peacefulness of the mountains. Sorry, No pets.

Welcome to Sundown Mountain cabin in Wears Valley, just 5 miles from the fun in Pigeon Forge, 10 miles from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 15 miles from Gatlinburg. The cabin is 1,260 SF spread out over two floors. It is the perfect balance of spacious and cozy all in one. The cabin has a private in-the-mountains feel with no immediate neighbors.

The cabin has central air and there are ceiling fans in every room. In the past few years we installed new LVP flooring throughout the cabin, upgraded the bathrooms, purchased several new furniture pieces and updated the modern-rustic dƩcor. We are excited to share our mountain cabin with your family!

Please note that there is not a grill at the cabin due to the potential for wildfire danger.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
We provide a starter set of soaps, shampoo, dish detergent, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels. This starter set is not designed to last your entire stay. Depending on the length of your stay and size of your group you may need to bring or purchase extras.

A drip coffee pot is provided. Bring your own coffee/cream/sugar.

Great stay at a great cabin!

This property was just what we needed for a family get away! Our entire family enjoyed our stay. Only minutes from ALL the activities that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer, it was homey and comfortable. This cabin provided the rustic experience you want from the Smokey Mountains and gave us all we needed.

Wonderful vacation!

My family thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, nice hot tub and a great location away from crazy traffic and people of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville. Owner gave lots of great suggestions of places to go and things to do.

It was really nice, I enjoyed the stay. Small and cozy, will for sure be coming again! It had a lot of board games in the cabin and we enjoyed playing them. I liked how the games/restaurants were really close to the cabin. I really enjoyed my time there!

Beautiful Cabin Away From Crowds

Wonderful Property

Only there for three nights but great property, location, communication and cleanliness. Beautiful spot makes you feel away from it all but close to everything including DoorDash. Amy was very friendly and good to communicate and property was clean and well supplied. We hope to be back soon!

Short Stay in the Mountains

Cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable and spacious. Hot tub time on the deck was wonderful. Nice amenities. Good location, close to all we wanted to see. Perfect Place to stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. Location was great. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Bed was so comfortable. Perfect for two couples. The owners were very accessible. Amy answered any questions that I had during our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Welcome! Our family is so excited to host you! We LOVE to travel anywhere and everywhere. When our kids have breaks from school you can find us in Door County, Wisconsin, on a lake in northern Wisconsin, visiting family in Florida, or spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains. We enjoy going for bike rides, hanging out on our front porch in the summer, eating ice cream and spending lots of time with family and friends.

We bought this cabin in 2023 after months of looking for the perfect place for our family. We love the privacy at this location and the how the cabin feels cozy and spacious all in one. My favorite memories of the cabin so far include playing board games with our kids on the back deck and sitting in the rocking chairs at night watching the sun go down. We hope you and your family feel this same magic while you're staying with us.

My favorite place at the cabin (oddly enough) is sleeping in the king bedroom on the first floor. I am obsessed with the mattress in this bedroom - so much so that we purchased the same one for our regular house. I always sleep like a rock and wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.
