Ocean Watch is located next to the ownerā€™s vacation home and is thoughtfully positioned to ensure your privacy. Guests will have access to a small, secluded rocky beach ideal for launching a kayak, collecting seashells and stones, or simply enjoying a picnic while watching the lobster boats pass by, hauling their daily catch.

For kayaking enthusiasts, Ocean Watch offers a prime location to explore nearby Lowellā€™s Cove, Ragged Pond, Elm Island, or venture under the iconic Cribstone Bridge to paddle through the sparkling waters of Harpswell Sound.

Conveniently within walking distance, youā€™ll find the historic Cribstone Bridge, H2Outfitters kayak rentals, and local seafood restaurants where you can savor the freshest catch of the day. Inside the cottage, youā€™ll find a clean, cozy space with everything you need for a memorable stay, including a lobster pot for those who want to try their hand at cooking up a local delicacy.

With so many activities right at your doorstep, Ocean Watch promises a truly unforgettable vacation experience.

Pets are welcome at Ocean Watch (a non-refundable pet fee applies). More than one dog requires permission from host. If booking on VRBO click on "Travelers" box and check box by "I am traveling with pets."

Ocean Watch does not have a washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat in Brunswick, just 15-20min away.

We had a lovely time at this cottage. Our dog enjoyed her stay too. Cute Maine cottage. Could use a little updating, but clean and convenient to all that Orrs and Bailey islands have to offer. Will definitely stay again. Called the property managers on a few questions and they are extremely accommodating and friendly. Thank you for such a beautiful stay.

Hidden gem on the shore

Ocean watch puts you right on the rocky shore to get lost in the ebb and flow of the tides. Easy hikes and good eating nearby. Great communication from the hosts. A bit tricky to find among the other places on the street so glad we arrived in daylight!

Cottage on Casco Bay

We loved the location and the cabin was more suited for 2 instead of 3 or 4. It really had all of the amenities, but found a few that weā€™re missing or could have improved our stay, but they were very minor. We would come back and stay.

Reviewer Comments: I already filled out a review, It was not a good stay, I loved seeing the ocean. My husband could not sleep in the same bed with me as the bed was pushed against the wall and it was too heavy for us to move.The bedroom was dreary as one half of the bedroom window was covered with spider webs and it included a large dead spider. We left a day early as it was just too uncomfortable for my husband to sleep on the futon. I would appreciate a refund for the one night.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The covered porch was an ideal spot to watch lobster boats, fishing birds, and even porpoises or to read a book while listening to the waves breaking on the rocks. Set way off the road, the location was very quiet and dog friendly. The cabin itself was tiny, especially the bedroom, but the queen size bed pushed against the wall was comfortable. No dishwasher but gas stove and large fridge. Plug in space heater only so bring warm layers. Two maintenance issues: lots of poison ivy in bushes (leash dogs) and picture window needs replacing since condensation between the double glass obscures view. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. It would make an ideal writing/art/meditation retreat for one person.

Do not stay here if you have a bad back as the mattress is way beyond it's comfort level. I spent the last 2 nights here sleeping in the car. My wife got up each morning was little sleep and a back ach. The oven is so dirty that you can't even heat something up without setting off the smoke alarm. The windows are hard to open and one window in the bedroom won't open. The light over the dining table only had one working light bulb. There was only a small trickle of hot water to the kitchen sink and that took for ever. WE heated the water for washing dishes in the kettle and used that. The parking are is over grown and it was hard to unload and load the car along with the steps and path to the cottage. I also think there may be black mold along the flooring at the kitchen sink.This place need much maintenance, and it is not a good valve for over $2,100.00 for a week.If there was anyway we could have got our money back after the first night of trying to sleep on that very, very, bad mattress we would have left.The only good thing this cottage has going for it right now is the front porch. The rental company should advise the future renters for the remainder of the summer about the sleeping conditions, it really ruined our vacation. I also bet this review will not show up on their website!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I spent 4 days at Ocean Watch for a much-needed solo getaway after a very difficult year. The location was perfect: quiet, right on the water where I enjoyed watching the tides, and the sights & sounds. It was just what I needed. There were several occasions when I wished there were binoculars in the house. My major complaint is that the futon in the living room was uncomfortable to sit on. Maybe it's broken, but I could not get the back to stay in an upright position. Given that this was the primary place to sit while watching TV or reading in the cottage, it could use an update. I sat outside on the porch when the weather allowed it, which was heaven! A very minor nit: perhaps a new refrigerator is also in order? While it functions well, it is old and extremely loud. Marcie and Darcie of Maine Stay Vacations were outstanding in communicating with me. They responded quickly to my questions, provided very detailed instructions on checking in and checking out.

A Peaceful Getaway by the Water

We sat out every morning and evening listening to the water and watching the fisherman going out and in. It is a lovely location and the cabin is just right for two people. Thank you for a great week away.

Our near perfect vacation.....

The property is everything one would expect in a shore front cottage. The sunrise views were gorgeous and the surroundings were quite private and quiet. We have already reserved a week next summer!

Great vacation destination.

Couldn't rave enough about my stay at Ocean Watch. The setting is incredibly beautiful - from sunrise to sunset. Really a magical view. The simple accommodations are comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is nicely stocked, but spent most of my cooking on the grill. Mid coast Maine is very beautiful, and there's not a better seat to view this beauty than Ocean Watch. And the folks at Homes and Harbors couldn't be nicer or more helpful.
