Clean and well maintained with a nice view and quiet. Property has all you’d need for amenities but it’s not very conducive for hanging out. This is a great home base to explore from though.

Lovely, clean, quiet, well-equipped condo in a beautiful location, with wonderful walking and driving destinations nearby. Great bed!! Amazing view of sunrise over a working but peaceful and quaint cove. Lobster, oysters, and other seafood easy to purchase nearby. 25 mins to Brunswick and lots to explore on the peninsulas.

Beautiful stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The host was very friendly, kind and very responsive. The view was amazing. We would certainly stay there if we go to the area again

Beautiful view of Mackerel Cove - clean and serene!

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend on Bailey Island. The condo was clean and new, very nicely furnished. It was a quiet easy to access property, very good experience.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This Property is just as it is described. An amazing location to just sit, relax and enjoy the beauty of Bailey Island. Mornings spent on the deck enjoying coffee and evenings spent with a glass of wine! It doesn't get an better then that!

Relaxing experience!

We felt "at home" in Mackerel Cove at this MaineStay property. The communications from the property owners was exceptional and we would highly recommend to any couple looking for a quick getaway!

Location, location, location

Absolutely stunning little working waterfront cove! The views around this island are wonderful, friendly locals and the condo was perfect for 2 people. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy our stay on the Maine coast!

The condo is perfectly situated overlooking Mackerel Cove. It is a short walk to Bailey Island General Store. The unit has a very comfortable living room and kitchen downstairs and a deck to take in the serene ebb and flow as the lobsterman go about their business. The bedroom and bath upstairs are clean and comfortable. A bedside lamp would be helpful for reading. The condo was immaculate and the communications with the host were clear and helpful. The next door neighbors are very nice and quiet. A morning walk out Abner Point is delightful. The experience was made more special by being able to look across the cove at a cottage built by my great grandfather in 1897.

We had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo in Maine. The property was exactly as pictured—no surprises, just what we hoped for. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. It’s clear the hosts take pride in keeping the space welcoming and true to its listing. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, reliable getaway.

Living in an Emily Henry book

First time visiting Maine and we had the most relaxing vacation ever. The views were absolutely gorgeous and the island is a hidden peaceful gem. Already missing life here

We had a great time at the condo. The location was great. It’s possible to just head out for a day of activities within an hour of the condo. It was very clean and organized. Would recommend!

Lovely, clean, perfect stay on Bailey Island!

This condo was exactly as advertised: beautiful water views, fully appointed, sparkling clean in a gorgeous fishing village. The hosts were super helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Highlights were hiking Giant’s Stairs, the view at Dolphin Marina, scones at Salt Cod Cafe. We wish we’d done the lobster boat tour! Great day trips to Boothbay Arboretum, Freeport, Brunswick, and Bath. Evenings on the deck were the best way to end the day!

Well appointed, great communication

A nice condo right in Mackerel Cove. Wake each morning to the lobster bots heading out. A well appointed condo, great for one or two people. Terrific communication from the management team. I would highly recommend.

Great location and very clean

Great place. Clean as a whistle. Fabulous view. I wish the no smoking policy included the decks since we had to close our window and door when neighbor smoked. Kitchen had everything we needed but the knives need a sharpening. 😁

Wonderful relaxing stay

The Bailey Island condo was exactly as pictured on line, but areas that weren’t shown were impressive as well. The Condo was absolutely spotless, comfy bed, and had everything needed. Everything was organized and uncluttered so there was plenty of room for our stuff. The view was fantastic. We spent every morning and evening on the deck watching the lobstermen do what they do ☺️. Glens lobster was a short walk down the road, they pulled the lobsters from the water when u buy them. I would give the condo and the area more than 5 stars. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

Charming Condo with Beautiful Views and Perfect Location!

Highly recommend! We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! It was beautifully styled, with lots of charming touches that made it feel like a cozy home away from home. We were provided with plenty of towels, which was a nice bonus, and the deck and balcony offered stunning views at any time of day—truly a highlight of our stay. The location was ideal: there were multiple great places to eat nearby, offering a variety of dining options, but the area itself was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxation. There were also plenty of activities to enjoy, but we never felt overwhelmed by crowds or noise. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Their attention to detail and care really stood out. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this condo to any couple looking to experience the serenity and beauty of the area.

Waking up each morning to the smell of ocean air, a beautiful view of the cove, the sound of seagulls & active lobster fisherman allowed us to experience true New England charm. The condo was clean, well stocked & quiet, we were all sad to leave. If we ever have the chance we would return in a heartbeat!

Our unit was very clean and the view was amazing. Everything was nice except we had no heat and customer service is lacking. We tried for three weeks before our trip to get in touch with customer service about our credit card and never got a call back or any response. While visiting we contacted the owners and never received a text back. Other than lack of customer service this place is amazing.

The condo had everything we would need just as if we were at home. We booked last minute but Mainestay was so easy and friendly to work with. One day into our stay and I was already asking when booking for next fall opened. Lovely place!
