Downtown Comfort for your family in the heart of shopping & restaurants.

Wonderful downtown accommodations for your family. Large apartment with a full kitchen,living room, full bath and 2 very large bedrooms each with a queen and twin bed. The space is ideal for up to 4 adults and 2 children. The apartment is one of three located on the second floor of our huge artisan and antique market place, Founders Crossing.
Your reservation is for the 2 bedroom apartment shown.
There is street parking in the front or on the side but it is limited to 2 hours from 9-5. For long term parking we suggest going back one street and park beside Bedford Candies on Thomas Street.
Enjoy our downtown restaurants, theater, specialty shops, brewery's or many other stores in this quaint downtown. Book ahead to get a room for one of our yearly downtown events including the Fall festival, Wine tasting walk, Chocolate walk, Chili Cook off and downtown concerts. We had a wonderful girls weekend celebrating a retirement. Everything was wonderful. Some suggestions, please add cookie sheets, another pot, more silver ware and coffee cups. Need to have service for 6 not 4. Oh also the WiFi directions did not match what came up on our phones. Please check this to be sure it is accurate. We loved how clean and comfy your home was. We will definitely tell others and hope to come back again. Thank you again for sharing your home.

BEAUTIFUL, UPDATED APARTMENT RIGHT IN TOWN

We really enjoyed our stay as two friends celebrating a special birthday. The only challenge was having to go through one bedroom to get to the bathroom at night. Other than that, we highly recommend this place for spending time in, around and near Bedford.

Perfect apartment in Bedford

My husband and I stayed in Bedford for the weekend for Jeep Infestation 2024. This quaint, comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment is in the perfect location in town. It’s within walking distance to just about everything. Everything you might need is in the property. The host is very responsive and kind, highly recommend if visiting Bedford for any reason.

We are Erich and Sharon McArthur. I am an Altoona, PA native and opened Founders Crossing in 1992 as a Artisan and Vintage Marketplace as you still see it today. It's a great place to spend an hour or an entire day.
In 2016 I married Erich and together we had the vision of renovating the second floor of the store to house apartments with long and short term rentals. Erich personally spent a year doing a full renovation to create these beautiful rental properties that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do.
Through the rennovation process it was important to us to maintain the original 1890's character. You will enjoy the large spaces with exposed brick walls and high ceilings along with pocket doors and beautiful trim. The layout of the apartment is still in it's orginal state. The bedroom area has an additional door into the hallway which makes for easy flow in, out and around the space. The bathroom lies in the center of the apartment which is convenient to living space and bedrooms.
We have added all new modern day conveniences which brings in all the comforts of home for an enjoyable stay.

Staying in our historic 1890's downtown landmark in the heart of the historic district is a unique experience. There is a total of four apartments on the premises. All units are on our second floor over our retail store, Founders Crossing. If you enjoy quaint downtown's, Bedford is definitely one you don't want to miss. Our location is extremely safe and well maintained. We are a downtown with well lit free street and lot parking. In the evenings you can usually find a space right out front. As a courtesy to the local businesses we ask that during the day you park on S.Thomas Street which is a block back out of the main shopping district. The bonus is that Bedford Candies sits on the corner there. Always yummy!

This apartment has a full kitchen and lots of space to spread out. It is perfect for family time or a girls weekend away. Bedford is home to many great shops, restaurants and downtown events. We are only a mile away from the historic Bedford Springs where you can book a spa treatment or just go enjoy one of several walking trails around the property. We are also close to Shawnee State park with hiking and biking trails, small boat rentals or fishing. If you aren't the outdoorsy type, there is no better place to stay to simply enjoy great shopping, local theater and home town restaurants.
