Rustic Urban 2 BDR Home

Enjoy a comfortable stay in our newly renovated home. This property offers a rustic yet modern vibe with updated furniture and decorations. The home is located in Ferndale Michigan on the border of Royal Oak and Madison Heights. It is close to major cities (Birmingham, Detroit, Hazel Park etc.) and only a 30 minute drive to the airport. This is a pet friendly home because who doesn't love traveling with their pets!

We will be available for our guests when needed.

You can access the home through the front door. You will be able to access the home via a smart lock . To unlock. enter the code. To lock push the lock button. The code will be provided to you the morning of your stay.

When you first enter the home you will enter into the cozy family room. There is a smart TV and a large sofa to relax and enjoy some entertainment. The home is decorated with rustic and modern elements with some splashes of color with art from around the world. There is 1 bathroom located upstairs on the 3rd floor. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with queen beds and fresh linens. There are also games, foosball and darts in the basement for you to enjoy some fun during your stay. The full bathroom is located upstairs on the second floor. There is no bathroom in the basement or on the main floor.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. There is a newly renovated bathroom with a shower/tub combination. There is a washer and dryer available in the basement if you need to do laundry!

Please note: there are no TVs in the bedrooms.

Great Stay

Everything at the property was great! Adorable house and close to anything you need. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Definitely would stay again.

The host could have provided better communication and been more accessible during our stay. I contacted them nine days prior to arrival but received no response. I sent a second message two days before check-in, after which I finally received a response. The check-in instructions were incorrect; there was no key in a lockbox as indicated, and access was instead through a keypad. Additionally, not all amenities were available. The TV did not have a remote control, and upon arrival, I messaged the host again but received no response. I contacted VRBO, who notified the host. Throughout the stay, I did not hear from the host at all. This was a significant issue, as we had a neurodivergent guest who required access to his TV apps to settle in comfortably. Instead, we had to rely on our mobile device, which was unacceptable

Excellent stay!

Very close to some nice local bars and restaurants. The property was very clean, and the managers were communicative. Checking in and out was a snap. It's the middle of winter, but it looked like theres a great little fire pit out back too. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was fine - the kitchen was nice and fairly well equipped. The house was clean inside. The neighborhood felt safe, but lots of people hanging out in the early morning hours across the street. Communication with the host was poor. There was a large amount of trash, likely from squatters on the deck. We informed the host about it and never got a response. We went out and bought gloves and cleaned it up ourselves eventually so our pup could hang out in the back yard, and she did enjoy it! The deck was nice with two couches. No trash bags for the kitchen, no propane for the grill and no hair dryer. We come to Detroit every year, but I don't think we will stay here largely because of the communication issue.

Lovely home from home. Stayed for 2 weeks, great support from the owners when I experienced a problem with something, it was fixed within a matter of hours. Great location, quiet area. Would recommend.

Quiet Home in Convenient Location

Lovely stay for our family of 5. Cute older home; very clean. Very reasonable guest expectations on departure (run dishwasher, place towels by washer; leave beds unmade) Two queen bedrooms and only bathroom are upstairs on 2nd floor. 3rd bedroom with two twin beds in basement.

The check in process was decent however, I received a dm saying that I had to use the key box on the wall however it was empty. I can only assume that was an old automated message. Regarding the interior, there are really bad liquid stains all over the couch, and the chest in the living room. Also, the floor was so dirty that my sons feet were almost black after walking for only a few minutes and I found food under the couch. I didn't feel very safe, one if the first floor windows does not lock. I looked in the backyard and there a was a plate of food left out which I can only assume was left by previous renters. Regarding the neighborhood, it's a very industrial area. There are lots of buildings, some look empty and there is a parking lot next door with a random boat in it. I only stayed one night due to the noise. There was a group of people smoking weed across the street consistently from 4pm-4am and I was woken up many time throughout the night. I had reached out to the host many times but she was not responsive at all. The photos need to be updated to show the poor condition on the living room furniture. I was never able to complete any checkout procedures due to the host not responding and she never ended my trip after the first day. After all that I went through, i'll only get a 50% refund. I would never choose this property again.

Detroit birthday visit

Property was listed as "Rustic" which was somewhat confusing. I now realized that this meant sparsely furnished, very small bedrooms, only one bath on 2nd floor which meant a lot of stair climbing for all family. Televion was not available due to missing remote. I informed Property manager right away and another remote was dropped off, but it was incompatible with tv. So no tv all visit. Can i get a credit of some sort for that? Overall place was adequate but lacking in usual amenities found in all VRBOs i have rented satisfactorily. Thanks for listening. Mostly, Television was not a

That is perfect for what we needed. We went to the Woodward Drive cruise car show thing and it was close to everything that was very clean and nice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
