Surf Song #226 - This beachfront Studio Efficiency is perfect for couples looking for a memorable Florida vacation along south Madeira Beach. Enjoy the beautiful beach and gulf views from the large picture windows. The main area includes fresh tropical decor, flat screened TV as well as reclining leather loveseat. A comfortable king sized bed, and complete kitchen with full size appliances finishes off the space. As with all SunHost properties, the unit is meticulously spotless and welcoming, which is why guests come back year after year. Kitchen utensils, linens, extra pillows and sufficient towels are fully stocked upon arrival. Please note there is no phone in this unit. Free Wifi.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to 7 day a week office staff, office services (copy, print boarding passes etc.) We also have maintenance available 7 days a week if you experience any issues at the property and an after hours emergency on call person.

Ideally located near all amenities, including large heated swimming pool, BBQ facilities, and of course, one of a kind Florida beaches, you can find everything you need right here. Across the street is John's Pass Village, a highly popular attraction for all ages. This is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden.

Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. It's 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This beautiful Gulf getaway, has something for everyone, including dolphin watching, water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.
Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

Great stay.

We had a great stay. The accommodations were perfect for just the 2 of us. The hotel was well kept, pool area was clean and well kept and being right on the beach was perfect. Love our whole trip

Great view and location!

We had a wonderful stay. Our unit was exactly like the picture overlooking the pool and beach. Our unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Pool area is beautiful and also very clean. I was impressed also with the beach- very well maintained. We are already planning for next year!

Mother-daughter weekend

Met all of our needs. Looked just like the pictures, the place was clean and right on the beach! We were happy to get a call that the condo was available for an early check in too!

Great location

We liked this place, it was nice having an ocean view. It looks like it has been updated. The location was very convenient. Only thing that could be improved was the mini split at times wasn’t able to keep up. We would choose this property again.

November 2015 Stay

Another absolutely wonderful stay at Surf Song. We've been visiting almost annually since the mid 1980's. The weather was great and the room (226) was perfect. Larry and Tim, and the entire office staff are so friendly and welcoming. Every time we visit they've done something to improve the property. Love it here. Greg & Sherry Lewis

Plants out front are dead, floors peeling and dirty, handrails are dirty. Rooms are overpriced based on the condition of the resort.

2 different rooms for the stay

The first room was updated and everything was new, but it had bed bugs. You can tell that they were left by one of the last people to stay in it. I got in contact with the manager who never came to the office the whole week we were there. They moved us and we're very understanding. The second room is not updated but clean.

Reviewer Comments: As usual, my stay in 226 was comfortable and it has always felt like my 2nd home for many years ..unfortunately, prices @SS and elsewhere in Mad Beach have shot up exorbitantly over the past 2-3 years causing me to consider looking at other areas for my winter stay ..this may be my last year renting there as they are pricing many of us out ..prices have been going up and services have been either reduced or eliminated ..not a good situation for any guest

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I stayed here for a week and the condo itself was very nice. The small studio size was perfect for us since we spend most of our time outside and on the beach anyways.Pro's: It was very clean. The freezer had an ice maker and the kitchen had a dishwasher and everything that we needed to make meals so that we didn't have to eat out a lot. The bed was extremely comfortable! After a set of stairs and walking past the pool, your feet are in the sand.Cons:You could hear everyone outside and in the next room through the walls easily.There wasn't a way to dry out towels or swimsuits unless we wanted to use the coin dryers. There was no balcony and the signs forbid us from hanging them over the railing.We had a very long drive from Indiana, showed up 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and received a call from the lady working... she wasn't the most friendly, but maybe she just had a long day. The ladies while we were checking out were much more friendly.Overall, I would stay here again if the price was lower than surrounding condos with a balcony. This was our first time to Madeira Beach and we loved it. I do think the price is a bit high, but I'm used to staying at Myrtle Beach in a 2 bedroom condo with balcony right on the beach for about the same price. However, I will admit that the Gulf views are better.

Nice place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. The condo was clean and perfect size for the two of us. The staff was nice and very helpful. The only thing that could use some improvement was the bed and the AC It wasn't very comfortable and it didn't get cold enough to sleep without sweating. We are used to a very comfortable and firm bed and we sleep with it very cool at night and we had gotten plenty of sun. I'm sure that didn't help.

Perfect location for all of our adventures

We went as far South as Venice Beach and as far North as Tarpon Springs. We packed in so many fun filled days that we were exhausted by the time we got back to our room. It was so nice being right on the ocean and having a pool as well. Only thing is that I wish they would have had umbrellas and beach chairs for us so I didn't have to put out more money to rent one. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great location.

Disappointed

Plumbing problems reported, no follow up from property manager until I contacted them it was brushed off. We could barely take a shower because shower clogged so bad, couldn’t use sink in bathroom without getting a shower, and shower curtain kept falling. Neighbors next door obviously has never been in public because they partied allllllllllll night loudly even shooting fireworks. Even when it clearly states in checkin that there is quiet time. Property was just a disappointment. Maintenance man was friendly and helpful!

Not sure if we would stay at Surf Song or John’s Pass area again just because beach was so packed. Of course it was Memorial Weekend. Otherwise SunHost is great to deal with and condo is heat for 2 people. I wish they had more condo rentals in a quieter area on the beach.

I'm never disappointed at SurfSong

Reviewer Comments: Over the years, I'm come to expect comfortable accomodations and peaceful surroundings at SS and they always meet or exceed my expectations ..spotless, sanitized apartment ..the grounds are well kept and nicely landscaped and the location can't be beat ..beach just steps from the pool and John's Pass just a walk across the street ..restaurants, bars and shops all in a fishing village type atmosphere ..office on property which is a big plus ..courteous staff and very accomodating ...plenty of good restaurants locally with many located on the water ...you can't go wrong staying at SurfSong

Great Stay (Mostly)

The location is perfect. Right on the beach with a nice pool. John's Pass is directly across the street. You really don't need a car. The condo was nice. Fine for 2 people. Great view of the pool and beach. The only negative was that the freezer did not work well. We actually put our refrigerator items in the freezer. It made it tough for ice. We told the staff but there really wasn't much for them to do. Apparently a new refrigerator had been ordered but had not yet arrived. In the end it was a really good trip. We would go stay there again.
