Welcome to our newly built guest house, completed in 2023 and designed for your utmost comfort. Experience the luxury of in-floor heating throughout, including the one-car garage (14'x20'). Our guest house boasts top-of-the-line appliances and a fully equipped kitchen, complemented by a patio with a gas grill for delightful outdoor dining.
Stay connected with high-speed fiber optic internet, perfect for streaming your favorite movies on the large flat-screen TV or working uninterrupted while surrounded by nature. Our safe and serene location is just 5 minutes from MTU, Downtown, the Portage Canal, and numerous ski and bike trails. For golf enthusiasts, a beautiful course is within walking distance. Grocery stores are only a 7-minute drive away.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by majestic pine and birch trees, you'll be enchanted by the sounds of birds and the sight of deer crossing the road. We will definitely be back. We stay in VRBO homes often, and this one earns top honors as the cleanest we’ve ever rented. The house was a perfect fit for the three of us and conveniently located just a short distance from MTU, which was the purpose of our trip. Everything was comfortable, the beds were great, and the heated garage was an especially appreciated bonus with below-zero temperatures outside.

Perfect Stay Near Houghton

This is a great guest house with two nice bedrooms and an open plan kitchen/dining/living room. It is very convenient to Houghton and the Keweenaw and had absolutely everything needed for a very nice stay.

The ultimate snowmobile/recreation destination!

The property is close by all trails and restaurants in town. The heated garage was a big plus! Owner was great and stayed in consistent communication!

It is a two-bedroom house with a nice open living area and a big full kitchen. Both bedrooms are also spacious and have full-size closets. Clean, modern home close to MTU

We enjoyed our stay while visiting Michigan Tech. The in-floor heat and heated garage were especially cozy as it was a cold and snowy weekend.

Quiet Houghton

We enjoyed the property. It was very clean, and well kept. The home was charming and the surrounding area was quiet. Easy access to our events for the weekend. The owner checked in to make sure everything was going well. Highly recommend this house.

Great property and close to MTU

From the cleanliness to the updated appliances to the spacious layout, this property was perfect for us visiting MTU. The location was far enough out to be quiet but close enough to get to town and other places quickly. It fit our group of 3 with extra room to spare. Overall, highly recommend this property if you're visiting Houghton or the surrounding area!

MTU Parents Weekend

We had an excellent stay at the Guest House! Everything was very clean and comfortable. It was a 5-10 minute drive to Houghton, which made the perfect for visiting our MTU student. We’ll definitely book again when we go back for another visit!

Perfect property!

The house was clean and well stocked. The location was perfect, only a short drive to town in a country setting. Excellent communication with the owners and easy to access. We stayed and visited everything from the Porcupine Mountains to Copper Harbor. I would definitely stay there again!

For nature lovers, the Nara Nature Trail Boardwalk provides an excellent spot to observe birds and other wildlife. Additionally, the Portage Lake Golf Course is conveniently within walking distance from the house.
