Bluewater Bay Hideaway is a spacious home located just across the Mid-Bay Toll Bridge from Destin. Close enough to enjoy the beach, but far enough away to avoid big crowds and long wait times at restaurants. It is the perfect location if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time. Bring the outdoors in when you open the sliding glass wall that leads to the screened enclosed patio with a pool and a brand new hot tub for you to enjoy. The Bluewater Bay Hideaway is the perfect getaway for you and your family.

** Dogs are allowed, limit 2.

** You will not have access to the garage as it is used for owner storage.

Wonderful stay in Niceville

This house has everything you need for a great vacation; the pool, jacuzzi and space is really special. The proximity to the Beach, Golf Courses and all the surrounding beauty is worth every penny. And our host was so awesome, she made our stay one we will never forget.

Amazing property

The pool was fantastic and warm. The house was amazing vary clean the bathrooms we great we did not use the hot tub but it was warm to the touch just a perfect location to beach and Destin area we will be back

We really enjoyed our visit, the house was very clean and the host was very nice. Having a screened in pool area was the best, not a single mosquito bite and the water was nice and warm. I would have loved to be able to use the hot tub in the evenings, but the water was cold despite all efforts. Very easy access to the island via the toll bridge just blocks away. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Amazing stay for a relaxing weekend away from responsibilities. Quiet area with everything you need or a very short drive to mix it up on the beach or a number of adventures.

Great location

If you are looking for the perfect location, away from all of the tourists, but close enough to hop in the car and enjoy all of the touristy locations...this is your spot! All that you need is right here on the property. Very relaxing and comfortable.

Great Stay

nice amenities, well appointed, loved that we could bring our dogs on vacation, Lauren the host kept in touch with us throughout our stay. Pool was not working while we were there but weather was to cool to use anyway. Loved the hot tub!! Highly recommend!

Florida Getaway!

Was a great stay! Loved the area and the closeness to the beach. The one thing we weren’t aware of (poor planning on our part) was the $4 (each way) toll to the beach, and cash only. So set aside cash for that.

Pictures online were accurate. Lauren was super communicative and helpful the entire stay. The beds could've been a tad softer but that's just personal preference. Overall very satisfied with our stay and are looking forward to booking again!

Amazing hide away!!

Our stay was amazing and our host answered any questions we had via text. She checked in with us the first day to make sure everything was good! We will be back! You never even have to leave the house it is so peaceful with the pool and the home is beautiful!!

Family Vacation

We booked this vacation for our son's and thier families as a Christmas present so we can all make memories! The house was a perfect size for 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. We loved the big family room and kitchen as there was plenty of room for all of us. Our dogs loved the back yard and we all enjoyed the hot tub and patio area. Lauren was very good at communicating and took care of the minor issues we had. Over all a great time and we would stay here again. The location was also very convenient and and within a close distance of the beach, restaurants and shopping. plenty of room

Amazing

This is an amazingly home to stay in.. it is absolutely gorgeous and more than we expected. The pool was warm the hot tub relaxing and the decor is exquisite. Lauren was an amazing host, she's very interactive and exceeded our expectations. Don't think twice about visiting Bluewater Bay Hideaway, I can assure you won't be disappointed . We will definitely be back. Again, Lauren thank you for making our vacation wonderful, next time we will stay longer!!

Beautiful Home

The pictures of the home are very accurate. We had high hopes for a spring break vacation home, it did not disappoint. The neighborhood is very quiet and just far enough away from busy Destin but just a short drive to their beaches. My family had more than enough room and everything we needed was there. Grocery and restaurants are all within a 15 minute drive. Our children enjoyed the pool while we enjoyed the hot tub and our dogs were very comfortable in the surroundings. We hope to come back again!

Beautiful Clean rental!

Very Comfy home. Great location. Large rental plenty of room. Wish we could have stayed longer. Family room has a large comfy sofa for gathering. Awesome property

This property is amazing! It's everything listed and more. My family and I really enjoyed this property an also the amenities. The pool and the hot tub were clean and enjoyable and also the house is very spacious. The area has a lot of places to eat, shop and things that can't be done with the family. I would also check Destin as it's just a short drive away to the beaches, fishing charters and more adult and family friendly things to do. The host was amazing and recommend tons of things for my family and I to do. I will definitely be visiting this area and property again!

Wonder getaway house

We were very happy. The house was an absolutely beautiful location was wonderful. The swimming pool in the hot tub we’re both perfect favorite part about our trip was definitely the house very close to Dustin and yes, it does suck to pay the four dollars every time you cross the bridge but that’s what happens when you’re on vacation all the amenities were wonderful, even had pool towels very convenient jacuzzi tub in the bathroom wouldn’t turn on like the electric wasn’t coming to it maybe just a fuse blown didn’t wanna bother with it love taking a bath in the big tub anyway and it kept the teenagers from staying out of my room. House was just picture shown even bigger than I expected. we would stay again, but I never go the same Town twice but we definitely recommend it 😊

Visit with Granddaughter

The property was nice but the description is misleading. The pool is not heated, the solar heater system is broken. The hot tub was gross, slimy and so dirty you couldn't see the jets! Host called pool company but it was never available during our stay. Water pressure in the master shower is less than desirable. The yard hasn't been cut in a while, knee high weeds and briars. Queen bed is master bed room is very comfortable, appliances worked well. The kitchen and decor were great. My rating is low because we rented this property specifically for the pool and hot tub. So, we were very disappointed that those were not available for our stay.

Great place to stay!

We stayed for 5 days/4 nights and were pleased with the home! The interior of the home is exactly as described and was cleaned and ready for us when we arrived! The check-in process was super simple, and we had no difficulties! Lauren checked in with us via text and was easy to communicate with (even though we didn't have any issues we needed taken care of during our stay!). This property is located about 15 minutes away from the main strip of Destin which we appreciated having a place to retreat away from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of nearby grocery stores and pharmacies. We also visited a quaint little ice cream shop with specialty rolled ice cream and vintage arcade games (it was delicious!). We really appreciated the details of the amenities at the property down to the plethora of plugs at the bedside for our electronics -- we didn't need to buy a single thing but food! The pool toybox was fully stocked, and she had everything we needed for a day on the boat and beaches! The pool and hot tub were clean, and we enjoyed them thoroughly! The check-out process was reasonable and easy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to book it again for our next trip!

Beautiful home but terrible start to vacation

This was a beautiful home! We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub (once it was fixed), and the master bathroom, although the jets on the tub wouldn’t work. Nice heated pool! Our check-in was supposed to be at 3pm. At 2:50pm, I received a text from the property owner that the cleaner wouldn’t have the house ready until 4pm. We were already waiting down the road in a parking lot for check in at 3. At 4pm, I messaged and asked if the house was ready. I received a reply stating the bedding still needed to be washed and the cleaner was taking it to the laundromat, but that the property owner would love to buy us all dinner while we waited, which never happened. While waiting to get into the home around 4:30om, the cleaner was still there and the pool guy had just arrived to clean the pool and tend to it. The cleaner didn’t arrive with the linens for the beds until almost 9pm. Mind you; we had 2 kids with us that have a bed time earlier than 9pm. Other than the nightmare of the first day, we had a great time.

You Found a Friend in Me!

The house was totally accessible, a big plus for a handicap person. The private pool and huge patio was a my favorite amenity. Queen bedrooms were clean and comfy except my spouse and I prefer a firmer mattress. Everything you need was there! I fell in love with the soap dispensing from the washer! No need to purchase detergent. The leather sofa included throws for a cozy night of tv! Speaking of tv, always read the amenities carefully. There was only 1 tv in the den. I called to see if that was a misprint because we love to watch tv from our bed. She immediately but nice smart TVs in the other rooms! New renters pat me on the back for that! Smile To top it off there are several beaches surrounding the area. We chose to visit Miramar because of its ADA accommodations. To be honest the owner and I really clicked! She was so friendly and respond to any questions in an instance. That is a rarity from my many experiences and made me felt welcome to use her services again.

Hi! I am a native Texan and have lived there my whole life. I am a mom to 3 kids, my youngest just graduated and now my husband and I are adjusting to the empty-nester life. In my new found free time I love to travel with my husband and hang out with friends. We enjoy staying at different vacation rentals wherever we roam, and we have also been known to enjoy a cruise every now and then.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Destin is amazing, but we didn't like the touristy feel and the higher prices for groceries and restaurants. Niceville is close to Destin so we can go whenever we feel like it, but far enough away to avoid crowds and experience a small town vibe. Our neighborhood is a bit eclectic, but we love it. It is a quiet area and it is safe.

Jojo's Coffee and Goodness is amazing at is just at the end of the street. I highly recommend you check it out. There are some other shops at the end of the street that you may enjoy as well.

If you need anything last minute, there is a Family Dollar just around the corner. Restaurants, grocery stores, and other places you might need are just a few minutes away.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The best way to describe the appeal of the house is the ultimate relaxation destination. There are so many features of the house that contribute to relaxation, you have to experience it for yourself. To start with, we love how close it was to Destin, yet far enough away at the same time. It is great to spend a day at the beach and then come relax at the end of the day.

The back patio area has a swimming pool and a hot tub and it is completely enclosed by screening. It is so nice to be able to sit outside and relax without being eaten alive by mosquitos- in Texas that is a real problem. The glass wall that slides open could be left open to let air in without the worry of bugs getting in the house.

The spa bathtub in the primary bathroom pairs well with a glass of wine for the ultimate relaxation. If bathtubs aren't your thing, you can enjoy the double shower heads in the primary bathroom shower.

There are so many ways to find relaxation at the Bluewater Hideaway. We hope you find it as relaxing as we do and enjoy your stay. If there is anything we can do to make your stay better, please let us know. We will do our best!
