*** NEWLY RENOVATED & SLEEPS up to 12 *** Welcome to the Lakeview Retreat overlooking beautiful Arbutus Lake. This home is located on the four acres of Pineview Resort with 300ft of private sandy beach frontage (guests and owners only), and also boasts a large sandy swim area. Arbutus Lake is an all sports lake which is perfect for boating, skiing, fishing or paddling. We have a private boat launch and dock space is available for your boat/pontoon. Kayaks are also available to our renters free of charge. Other amenities at your cottage include a private fire pit with outdoor seating as well as a NEW large propane grill for cooking outside. Relax with coffee on the large deck for sunrise or enjoy your meal at multiple outdoor tables for dining al fresco. Sleep well in one of the 5 bedrooms. Four bedrooms are located on the main level, 2 with king beds, 2 with queen beds. A 5th bedroom is located on the lower level with a queen bed. There is also a queen sized sleeper couch in the quieter secondary living room located on the lower level that can transform into a bed for extra sleeping accommodations.
The main level is a large format open floor plan with plenty of room for relaxing in the main living room which hosts lots of seating and a smart TV to link to your preferred viewing platforms. WiFi included. The main level kitchen is well equipped with all new appliances, plenty of prep space, a pantry for all your goods & a large island and dining table to gather & enjoy. Two refrigerators, the extra in the lower level, to keep all your extras cold. The coffee & beverage station in perfect for easy access for you and your guests.
You may also enjoy the resorts shared amenities such as a beach fire pit, beach chairs and swim platform as well as plenty of spots to fish from and a private playground for the kids with swings, slide and bars and a basketball court. Lakeview is only a 15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City for many great dining and shopping options. We are also close to the upper portion of the boardman river and brownbridge quiet area for hiking and river adventures. Also near by is Ranch Rudolf for horseback riding and river canoe/kayak rentals. Whether you are looking for fun in the sun or a relaxing time by the lake, we are certain you will enjoy your vacation with us.

Family Summer Vacation

Great host and very accommodating. Living space was wide open and provided great space for our group of 11 to gather comfortably. Well stocked kitchen with many amenities to make for a relaxing stay.

Beautiful home, great location, excellent host

This home was more beautiful inside than the pictures suggest. It was well appointed, and had a ton of space for our large crew of six kids and two adults both to gather and to take a break from things. Both the playground and the beach were big hits with all of our kids and both were very close to the property. The host was very responsive to all of our questions and was very accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again!

Enjoyed this property

We had a great stay. The house was nicely renovated with big bedrooms & comfortable beds. The description /pictures are accurate. An outdoor deck with patio furniture allows enjoyment of the lake view. The fire pit with comfortable chairs was nicely done for evening enjoyment. Will recommend this property to family & friends for up-north vacation.

Our stay was very nice. Check in went very smoothly. Overall the home was lovely, clean and spacious. Good quality towels, bedding, etc. The kitchen was well-equipped. We had an issue with the stove, however, Todd was able to resolve it very quickly. I really appreciated that Todd was responsive to any concerns or questions that i had before and during our stay. I had two concerns:There were 7 of us with two bathrooms. It was very challenging at times, and having an extra bathroom would have been a big help. The decking outside was very large and nice. I like it when I can sit outside and view the water. However, I was disappointed that you could see only a very tiny part of the water from one small area on the deck.We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated having firewood supplied to us. The location was good. We were only 20 min or so from the downtown tranverse city area. Close enough to restaurants and grocery stores.it was a great experience!

Beautiful Lake Home!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Michigan lake home! It was a central location for all of our Traverse City area adventures. The kitchen was perfect and big enough to make dinner for our group of 10! We were a little nervous about there only being 2 bathrooms because we were a group of mostly adults, but we had no issues. Beds were comfortable! Laundry room was fantastic and the outdoor eating space was also perfect! Our families have always gone to Florida or the Carolinas for vacation, but the weather and beauty of Michigan in July is unmatched! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us!

Great for family

Great property. Overall a great stay with our family (4 parents, 4 kids ages 3-7, 2 grand parents) with plenty of space (both bedrooms, common areas indoors and outdoor space for our sized group. Access to small community beach was perfect for the kids. There were toys, a water mat, and plenty of beach chairs for non-resident use which made our daily beach trips down the hill even more convenient. House was reasonably equipped/had the necessities. Communication with the owner was excellent and made the rental process seamless. We were able to rent a pontoon and had dock access that allowed for a very nice couple days of boating, tubing and wake boarding through the public boat launch at the north end of the lake (10-15 min boat ride back down to the accessible dock). Walk down the hill to the beach is not overly cumbersome and is not far from the home but would be potentially strenuous for anyone with limitations/elderly. Only 10-12 mins from an Oleson’s for full grocery, a well stocked local store only a couple miles away and 15 mins from Traverse. All this allowed for us to spend some days disconnected and others with plenty of options of things to do for the family. The fire pit and grill area was used almost daily/nightly and was perfect for our sized group. Would recommend for similar groups and would consider again in the future. Thanks for the stay!

Lovely house - could be exceptional with a few simple additions

Fun stay here with 6 adults and 4 kids for a family vacation! We loved the beach - the lake was much warmer than nearby Lake Michigan, and we really enjoyed the canoe and kayaks! The swim platform was a huge hit with the kids! Todd, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful when we had an issue with the oven our first night. The listing is a little deceptive; the beach is a walk down a steep hill, and some of our group with mobility challenges had trouble with the path. The house was lovely inside - clearly recently updated, with a great kitchen and new appliances. However, the kitchen was missing a few simple but important tools: pot holders, measuring cups/spoons, can opener, etc., which made cooking difficult. The living area was very large, but didn't have enough seating for a house that sleeps 12. The two couches (which were not very comfortable) only fit 6; more couches/chairs would be great. The bedrooms were comfortable, but the carpets had an odd musty smell, and they were also missing some simple items: e.g., trash cans & mirrors. There were 4 exterior doors, none of which had mats... with a beach, wood-chip path from the beach, and sand/gravel driveway, you can imagine how much yuck was tracked in by 10 pairs of feet, even though we were taking our shoes off at the door. Entry mats seem like a simple easy addition! On the whole, the house was beautiful, and a few simple additions would make it really exceptional.

The house and location could not have been more perfect for our family. The host, Todd, was very accommodating to our needs. He responded to every question in a timely polite manner. The boat launch and dock were fantastic and a 2 minute drive from the house. The Lakes were beautiful and enjoyed them for swimming, fishing and cruising. The house had a well stocked kitchen. The living room area and large dining area was very perfect.The amount and quality of the towels was fantastic. The firepit was great for relaxing and of course for s’mores. It couldn’t have been better for our family!
