Lakemore Retreat is comprised of two rental properties: 'Lakemore Lodge', and 'Lakemore Cottage', side by side homes on the shores of Arbutus Lake. Pictured here, with the green exterior, is Lakemore Cottage. Lakemore Lodge is the red house. The Cottage and Lodge are luxury homes built in 2015. The Cottage sleeps 12, but no more. The Cottage and Lodge are side by side and offer exactly the same amenities and floor plan, just with very different interior design.

The properties are rented individually, but many families rent both for the same time period, altogether sleeping up to 22 people comfortably. This efficient open floor plan includes vaulted ceilings with post and beam details, a warm and cozy stone fireplace and an airy screened porch dining area adjacent to a vintage style kitchen. In the cooler months, the screen porch has heated tile floor, making it enjoyable all year round. The Cottage will give you a sense of nostalgia, rekindling memories of vacations from your childhood.

Come enjoy the many benefits of this all sports inland lake where the 395 acres are swimmable from May until October, the fishing is plentiful and the conditions are perfect for many water sports including kayaking, stand up paddle-boarding, water skiing and tubing, all while being minutes away from Traverse City’s restaurants, shops, wineries, golf and more. On-site tri-toon rental is available within the Lakemore brand.

Lakemore Retreat is directly adjacent to The Brown Bridge Quiet Area which offers miles of hiking trails. Like to snowmobile? Leave right from the property and access Boardman Valley Trail System's 81 miles of trails! Boardman River is also within 3 miles, a great place to do river tubing, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. We are only 7 mi. from Vasa Single Track, a great Mountain Bike trail system. In addition, the Vasa is home to 25 km of groomed cross country trails. Mount Holiday is only 15 minutes away, a local downhill ski hill that also offers snow tubing and zip lining. Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is only 30 miles away.

This setting is perfect for relaxing lakefront vacationing away from the hustle of town, but be sure to leave time for a short 15 minute drive to the city. Traverse City is well known for its lakefront, with countless shops and restaurants. The greater Traverse City Area is nationally recognized for Old Mission Peninsula and the Leelanau Peninsula's many wineries, as well as the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.
