The open-concept layout is perfect for gathering with your favorite people, whether you're whipping up a meal, lounging in the living room, or laughing it out in the game room. Or take a moment for yourself in the soaking tub. Step outside and you’re just steps away from downtown parades, festivals, food, music, and culture. It’s more than a stay—it’s an experience.

The building was originally built around the 1940's and was owned by the United States Postal Service. It was renovated into 5 modern industrial apartments in 2022, that range in size and still has the DMS Mail Management sign in the exterior. The building includes a shared lobby/game room, a fully fenced back yard, and a parking lot. This apartment is a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath apartment with a full kitchen and dining room, and an additional day bed & trundle in the living room. The master bath has a giant soaking tub and separate shower. It also includes a washer and dryer.

Guests will have access to the entire private apartment, as well as the community game room, parking area & shared back yard with a fire pit.

Located in the center of downtown on the corner of Cypress & Lee, across from the Rosa Parks Center & only one block from Jefferson St. Parc Internationale is about 2 blocks over & all of the parades run nearby. Excellent location for travelers & any downtown events.

You can walk to most things that you need. The second best option would be Uber or Lyft. We are directly across from one of the city bus stations & the train station, so there are lots of nearby options for transportation.

*The building is located across from the Rosa Parks center and train station in downtown Lafayette & is within walking distance of everything in the downtown area: coffee shops, restaurants, museums, nitelife, art walk, etc. It's located one block from the main stage for Festival Internationale, downtown live, etc. It's within 2 blocks of Mardi Gras parades. It's the perfect location for travelers to experience a little bit of our city.

*The preferred mode of travel here is Uber or Lyft. Bicycles work in the downtown area, and we do have a bike rack in the back yard. Bike rental is available at Hub City Cycles at 501 Jefferson St.

*Within 1-2 blocks: Reve Coffee, Jim Deggy's Pizza & Brewery, Dyer's Cafe, Central Pizza, The Flats, Lafayette Science Museum, Children's Museum, Parc Sans Souci

*Just to note, we like to maintain a calm, friendly environment in our building & have a zero tolerance policy for disturbing other guests. Any disturbances may lead to cancellation of your reservation with no refund.

* We are located in a downtown area, which can sometimes be noisy on weekends or evenings. We do provide sound machines & ear plugs for light sleepers, just in case.
