Welcome to Elk Run Estates # 3 - Garden Cottage! Our first cabin in the woods!

Little slice of nature… This cabin is nestled in the woods with its own fire pit/bbq/picnic table area. The cabin has a 6’ covered porch with sitting area to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the nature just feet away.

Then unplug in this 420 sqr ft retreat with open living room/kitchen area, sectioned off bathroom and vanity room and spacious bedroom with a queen bed and a blow up twin mattress upon request.

You will have access to your cabin and private fire pit area.

We are here for you anytime you have questions. We also can have someone onsite within 30 minutes if you have any issues.

A most enjoyable stay. Pleasantly surprised by the roominess and the cleanliness. A very nice location close to Cheboygan. Very nicely landscaped and decorated so you fell comfortable.

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a most comfortable stay. We didn't spend any time around a fire outside but the set up out there was amazing; hanging lights and even solar tiki torches!! We'd defnitely stay here again :)

Adorable getaway in the woods

So many great things to say! Responsive owners, sparkling clean, adorably decorated and the world’s softest bed! Cute and cozy with all the amenities. Quick drive to downtown Cheboygan restaurants and pubs, and easy access to Mackinac Island.

Amazing cabin

From the minute you walk in, you feel like you are home! Such a great cabin. Surrounded by nature, you can't help but totally unwind and become stress free! Will definitely return.

Secluded cottage

This is a cozy cottage in the woods. The kitchen was well supplied with equipment, and even had basic food, like coffee, sugar and spices. There are two upholstered chairs in front of the large screen TV, with very decent cable service. (It even had Netflix!) The toilet was somewhat private in a nook off the bathroom. The mattress was very comfortable, so much so that we asked the owner for the brand, as we may buy one like it for our own home. The lighting throughout was bright, making it easy to read, since it was cold and rainy for much of the week we were there. The water tasted fresh, unlike that in some wells. The heating/ cooling is controlled by a handheld device, and it works very well. We were always comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the kitchen table was small, but we were able to accept that in view of the many positive things the cottage had. Best of all, the owner was easily accessible. The place is hard to find, and our iPhone GPS was confused, so we called her and she answered immediately. A second time when we needed guidance, she was there. That to me is the sign of a responsible, caring owner. I would highly recommend this place for a nice, quiet getaway.

Wonderful Stay

Arrived late at night, they have lights down the path that are motion activated which was a great touch. Very cute and clean cabin to stay in, I would recommend staying here. I’d rate it 10 stars if I could!

Great little getaway

Check-in process was super easy! Great little cabin getaway. Will be back and bring my sxs! Is close to trails and black lake if looking for boating as well. Also would be awesome for a couples get away. Did not get to use the cabin the full stay had to work last minute after the wedding I was going too. But in conclusion I will definitely stay again!

Cheboygan Weekend

I booked the cabin for a short weekend stay in Cheboygan. The cabin was a very good accommodation for myself and would have been comfortable for two people. The cabin is new and in very good condition. There is also a cozy outdoor area next to the cabin for meals and a campfire.

Peaceful cabin

This cabin is just right for two people. It's so quiet in the woods with just one other cabin nearby but far enough apart to feel like you're by yourselves. Had everything we needed. Small kitchen but very suitable for cooking meals. Grilling supplies (including charcoal and starter fluid)made it easy to grill out. Nice little porch to enjoy coffee in the morning. I would recommend for anyone who looks for a quiet place away from the action.

Jewel in the Woods

This was just perfect for us after a long ride on the local bike trail. Easy to find and just so beautiful. They thought of everything and packed a lot into a small space.

Very Cute Cabin

The cabin is in pristine condition, and they thought of everything! - even bug spray. It's perfect for a quiet getaway. Our family was camping at a nearby campground, so the commute was easy. If you want to explore the nearby towns, they are only about 10 miles away to Cheboygan or Indian River. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Immaculate little hideout in the woods

This small space has so much to offer. It's perfect for one person or a couple and, it is the cleanest, best decorated places I've ever stayed. It's close to to lots of stuff, or a great option while traveling to the UP.

Cute Clean Cozy

We were in town for a birthday party and the rental was exactly what we needed. A hideaway in the woods. Exactly as described in the post. Cell service is spotty because of the woods but there was wifi for that issue. There was a 2nd cabin down the driveway a bit but we never heard a peep outside. The hosts communicated well after booking the rental a month or so ago. A few days before arriving we received all the check-in information. Reassuring us we had booked the rental for the correct weekend. The rental has plenty of room for 2 people. With a small kitchen area and living room. The bedroom is spacious and has a split unit HVAC unit in it. The only thing we had a bit of an issue with was the shower. It is a single stall standup shower with amazing water pressure though that leads to about a 10-15 minute shower total between 2 of us before it was getting cold. And my tiny girlfriend bumped her head on the soap dispenser no less than 3 times in her 5 minute shower before bed. Not a huge problem for me just wanted to make a note of it This place is as described, though it doesn't mention anything about all the cool lights at night around the exterior and fire pit. Very awesome touch when coming back in the dark or stayingoput to watch the stars. Would highly recommend if you are out this way.

Second time

This is the second time we stayed here while visiting friends at Aloha State Park. Very clean and convenient. Dawn answered right away when we had a couple of questions. Property is thoughtfully illuminated at night. Would definitely return again.

A Nice Getaway

Adorable cabin!

This little cabin hand everything we needed, amd was absolutely adorable! We only stayed one night but I could have easily stayed a week. We were in the area to visit Torch Lake, which really is as beautiful and carribean blue like the photos you see online.
